Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 351: Ch 350: Friends and Enemies - Part 1
"-With the new establishment of the Star Guild, talks about other guilds have started to pop up. Will the guilds become the next global phenomenon—"
Kael was watching the T.V. when it was suddenly turned off. It made him look at the person who did it, and he noticed Officer Tyson’s tired expression.
"I don’t want to hear about guilds when I am off duty as well. I feel like I am about to lose my mind every time I hear that word nowadays."
The officer did look tired, and it was a given. He had been running around all this time, trying to keep up with the people’s and the government’s demands.
Actually, it was a miracle that he was even standing at this point.
"Maybe you should ask for a vacation."
Kael pointed out, and Officer Tyson let out a sigh.
"I tried to ask for one. They laughed and gave me even more work. Darn it! I won’t be able to retire properly at this rate. What will happen to my beautiful vacation plans?"
He asked while half-crying, and Kael carefully kept himself neutral. He did not want to be a part of this conversation.
But it did not take long for things to circle back either.
"So, what have you thought about doing next? Now that we have an established guild and have also started tracking down the people who want to make it fail, what is next?"
Officer Tyson asked in a serious voice, and luckily, Kael had thought about it already.
"It is simple—we are going to ensure that this guild is not easy to take down. And to make that happen, I will need a lot of people to cooperate. So, shall we call for a meeting?"
Since the guild had been established under government rule, there were not a lot of oppositions. But once it started operating and gained momentum, Kael was sure all kinds of pests would start appearing. So he wanted to crush them before that happened.
However, his smile started to make Officer Tyson nervous. He looked at Kael with an expression that said that he did not trust him.
"I don’t know what you are planning, but can I back out if it is too dangerous? I still like my job—"
"Don’t worry, senior. I will hire you if you get fired. Or maybe, you should just quit and join me anyway. It will be good for your mental health as well."
Kael offered, and Officer Tyson felt tempted for a moment. But then he looked at Kael’s smiling face and felt like he was making a mistake.
There was no way his life was going to be normal if he got entangled with Kael any longer.
"I will just help you arrange this meeting of yours. Do you have a list in mind?"
Kael nodded and handed the list over. But the second Officer Tyson saw it, he felt like it would have been better not to ask for it.
Still, the expression on Kael’s face was one that said that he had to see it through, no matter what.
But he was not the one Tyson was worried about. Rather, it was the girl who sat beside Kael.
Seraphina was giving him a look that said that he was on borrowed time, and the only reason he had been allowed to live was because he was useful to Kael.
It made him shudder, and he decided that it was best for him to concentrate on Kael and what he asked for instead of looking around.
"I will see that it gets done soon. I will give you good news soon."
He promised and took his leave.
But despite how he had looked, Tyson was not that worried about arranging this meeting. After all, most of the people Kael wanted to meet also wanted to meet him.
They were eager to put Kael in his place and to make use of him. But little did they realise that the ones who would be taken advantage of here were themselves.
’Ah, I cannot wait to see this happen. I feel so excited because of this.’
...
The meeting was arranged in record time. Both sides wanted to meet each other, and Kael invoked magic to make it possible to have them all in the same place.
This way, his opponents wouldn’t be able to run away from him, even if they tried to. Nor would they have a screen to hide behind.
"Everyone, allow me to welcome you all to this meeting. I hope you had an easy time getting here."
He asked everyone, and they nodded for the sake of being polite to him. But he could tell that they did not want these small talks.
In fact, most people here would prefer for him to get to the topic at hand. He currently had full control of the meeting, which did not sit well with his opponents. So they decided to try and take control back.
One of the prime ministers sitting at the table coughed and looked him in the eye.
"Kid, don’t you think you are getting too far ahead with yourself? I am not discrediting what you have done until now, but things are bound to become even more difficult in the coming times. Making enemies here won’t do you any good."
It was a barely concealed threat for Kael to stay in his lane and not to overdo things. Everyone else was watching him with keen eyes, waiting to see how he would react to this threat.
But Kael only let out a smile, making these people feel even more unnerved.
"Ah, I don’t mind making enemies. After all, it is only a problem for those who are weak. But I am sure that is something all of you know well."
He taunted back, calling these organisations weak. And no one said anything.
After all, they all knew in their hearts that he was right. There was only so much the current governments could do to maintain their influence.
They all would fall sooner or later.
