Chapter 1570: What You Heard Is True

  • Next Chapter

Benjamin Shaw underwent surgery today and is extremely weak. Easton Holmes and Ryan Taylor didn’t disturb him for long; after sitting for more than half an hour, they stood up and left the hospital.

Everyone has left, and now the ward is finally quiet, allowing Benjamin Shaw to rest peacefully at last.

While it’s quiet here, Thomas Fisher is not as fortunate as he packs his luggage at home. As soon as he opens the door and walks into the house, his mom calls him into the living room.

"What have you been busy with these days? Why haven’t you been seen at the company or at home? Are you busy playing hide-and-seek?" As soon as he enters the living room, his mother’s discontented questioning greets him.

Someone must have tattled on him.

Thomas Fisher walks over and silently sits down on the sofa, waiting for his mom’s reprimand. He doesn’t want to say much, because whatever he says is wrong, so why bother wasting words.

After asking for a while, his son remains indifferent and detached.

Autumn York becomes even angrier. When she speaks again, her voice becomes a bit sharper, "I’m asking you questions; did you not bring your ears back with you?"

This kid is getting more rebellious, and she doesn’t know how to manage him anymore.

"Do you have anything else to say? If not, I’m going upstairs." As Thomas Fisher speaks, he has already stood up from the sofa, realizing he shouldn’t have sat down in the first place.

Seeing this, Autumn York angrily slaps the sofa beside her, "What kind of attitude is this!"

Ever since the incident with Athena Linton, Thomas Fisher has been somewhat disappointed with his mother. Glancing at his mom who’s venting her anger, he steps toward the exit of the living room.

"Come back here, I..."

Before Autumn York can finish speaking, Thomas Fisher has already left the living room and quickly disappeared from her sight.

This brat!

For the sake of a woman, he’d abandon his mother; did she raise a son or a thankless wretch?

Autumn York’s face turns green with anger. Suddenly, she remembers something, stands up abruptly, and strides out of the living room.

She exits the living room and heads straight for the second floor.

Hearing footsteps behind him, Thomas Fisher instinctively looks back, and seeing his mom chasing him, his expression turns solemn.

But he doesn’t speak to his mom who’s chasing him; he just glances at her and then continues walking towards his room.

"I heard you’re going to Derry Kingdom with Alice Turner? Is this true?"

Because of the height difference between genders, Autumn York hurriedly and anxiously shouted, unable to catch up with Thomas Fisher.

Thomas Fisher doesn’t even glance back, but unexpectedly, he replies, "What you heard is true."

After speaking, he strides into his room.

After entering the room, Thomas Fisher closes the door and even locks it; he doesn’t want to be disturbed and needs his own space now.

Bang bang bang!

After chasing up, Autumn York sees the door locked, and without saying a word, she raises her hand and starts pounding on the door.

Filled with anger, she knocks very hard and very loudly.

"Brat! Open the door for me."

Autumn York yells while pounding on the door.

Thomas Fisher, annoyed, walks over to the bedside table and takes out earphones from the drawer, connecting them to his phone, turns on the music, and plugs the earphones into his ears.

The beautiful and melodious song drowns out the knocking and shouting!
