He had just heard from his butler that Thomas had gone to bring that commoner named William.

He obviously didn’t think the husband Vivian was talking about was William.

’Impossible! Wasn’t he just a normal commoner that those bastards wanted to deal with?’ Carman shouted inwardly, his mind in complete chaos.

’Could it be all of those nobles knew there was someone behind that commoner, and they simply used me as a scapegoat to see who was actually behind him?’

At first, he just thought it was because of what that commoner was doing in the academy that these noble families wanted to deal with him.

So they used his hand to make a move against William to reveal the identity of that person.
