Although they hadn’t discovered Shen Fei’s whereabouts, they had seen with their own eyes that the Heart of the City had instantly lost 25% of its health, and so they immediately sounded the alarm.

Shen Fei saw that as the alarms rang out, countless enormous, snow-covered behemoths rose suddenly from the ground like the petals of a lotus flower. They moved to protect the Heart of the City, which had already lost a quarter of its health. At the same time, pillars of fire, like signal flares, also shot up from the city along with the blaring alarms.

Having reappeared in an alley, Shen Fei summoned a Detection Tower and shifted his view to the NPCs who had gone to the area around the special Secret Realm. He saw that as the alarm and "signal flares" went off, those NPCs and bosses, who had been excitedly farming experience, paused for a moment in a daze, then quickly turned to look toward the Neutral City. A few seconds later, they exchanged glances and, with surprising unanimity, all left the vicinity of the Secret Realm and charged back toward the city.

Although the Version 4.7 update had given them the ability to gain experience and level up by killing monsters, and although they were leveling up by killing monsters as fast as they possibly could, when faced with danger in their Neutral City, their first instinct was still to turn back. The Neutral City was like their "home." It was the foundation of their stable lives. Especially after the full Version 4.3 update, the Neutral City was even the source of their identity and origin. If the Neutral City was destroyed, not only would the buffs they received from it disappear, but more importantly, they would be homeless!
