Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers
Chapter 603 - 233: Returning Home! Beyond the Bubble
"When is our version coming?"
"I’m starving!"
"Yeah! I can’t wait!"
"Yeah! When is the bubble going to open?!"
With the appearance of the first wave of consciousness, more ripples quickly followed, beginning a rapid exchange.
CRUNCH!
Amid the noisy chatter, a massive Cosmic Battleship over ten kilometers long was snatched by a dark shadow and devoured like a snack. CRUNCH. CRUNCH.
In the pitch-black depths of Deep Space, an invisible barrier seemed to exist, holding back a tide of dark energy. This unseen partition formed a cosmic bubble. At the center of the bubble was the tiny, dust-like Solar System and its nine planets. Through the protection of the invisible bubble, one could see enormous, malevolent eyes, bizarre, writhing tentacles, and immense black wings that seemed capable of snuffing out stars.
In the depths of Deep Space, far from the Solar System, no human knew that another "small bubble" existed, shielding humanity from an enemy that was unimaginable, indescribable, and could not be gazed upon directly.
"Desire Mother Tree! Venerable One, tell us! How much longer until the bubble opens so we can rush in and remodel this special new-version world?!!"
From amidst the writhing mass of tentacles, another voice emerged. Then, accompanying the voice, a colossal, purplish-red cosmic tree slowly rose into view, its surface traced with flesh and sinew. Each of the tree’s blood-red and ancient leaves was larger than any star. As it stirred, the entire dark, starry sky seemed to move with it.
"Shut up!" the Desire Mother Tree commanded. "Go eat your Cosmic Battleships and cosmic behemoths!"
The great tree, its name having been called, did nothing more than shift Its form slightly. However, the ripples from the movement of Its body caused a translucent bubble wall to appear clearly within the dark expanse. Inside the wall was the light and cosmic breath that signified life, while outside were terrifying, bone-chilling, and indescribable hordes of unique creatures.
WHOOSH!
Just as the mysterious beings were about to retreat into hiding at the Desire Mother Tree’s command, a streak of white light, like a sword of dawn, suddenly launched from a planet as tiny as a speck of dust at the very center of the bubble. Though the streak of light was minuscule, it was exceptionally resilient. Even after traveling an immeasurable distance, it showed little sign of decay. So much so that this unique streak of light actually cut across Deep Space, traveling from the bubble’s very center all the way to its outer edge.
The mysterious beings blockading the perimeter saw it with perfect clarity. This sent the previously listless horde into an immediate frenzy. They had never imagined that such a maneuver was even possible within this weak version’s bubble.
"What’s going on?"
"An anomaly?"
"A sudden version bug?"
The streak of light vanished without a trace the moment it touched the bubble’s wall, causing it no damage at all. But the event itself was enough to pique the curiosity of these ancient, mysterious beings.
According to their observations, given the level of life within this particular bubble, nothing, absolutely nothing, should have been capable of something like this.
"Something’s wrong!! The divination is wrong!!!"
Just as all the ancient beings were wondering what had happened, a mysterious, twelve-tentacled being suddenly manifested a massive, illusory card before it, printed with a Plum Blossom A. Then, as its tentacles waved, it spoke words that no one could have possibly anticipated...
