Chapter 1859: Chapter 1839

The dwarf tribe has always kept a low profile, since their unique craftsmanship makes them targets for others’ recruitment. And if recruitment fails, there are plenty who resort to underhanded tactics, so...

Members of their tribe need to avoid appearing before others as much as possible, especially in plain sight. Isn’t that even more dangerous?

But they are really quite curious about the Forget Worries Tea House. What kind of place makes Luo Qianqian so confidently fearless? This confidence fills them with puzzlement. It’s a confidence they can never seem to grasp.

"Shiqi, the dwarf tribe won’t appear under the scrutiny of the world. To most people, dwarves are just legends, not something real," Mo calmly explained to the dwarf tribe.

Luo Qianqian felt surprised: "Legend? Then I happen to know some legends, are they real too?"

"Which ones?" Mo was taken aback, not expecting Luo Qianqian to think of this question first.

"Like the Elf Clan, Mermaid Clan, Angel Clan, and such..." Luo Qianqian exchanged a smile with He Wenyu, both seeing the anticipation in each other’s eyes.

"The Elf Clan exists, but they guard the Elf Forest, more secluded than our dwarf tribe," Elder Huozi couldn’t help but say.

"The Mermaid Clan is documented in the Chronicles of Strange Tales, but whether it’s what you have in mind is uncertain. At least it’s certain there won’t be an evil mermaid witch exchanging her voice for legs," Mo teased Luo Qianqian with a laugh: "Never heard of the Angel Clan, though."

Luo Qianqian and He Wenyu’s minds went blank. How does Mo know they were thinking of the fairytale mermaid princess? It’s not like he’s even a worm in their belly. This is practically mind reading, isn’t it?

Tantan looked up curiously at the group: "What is a mermaid witch?"

Luo Qianqian was slightly taken aback, motioning to He Wenyu: "Go find Sister Shiliu to tell you bedtime fairy tales."

Mo lowered his head, sneaking a laugh. Kids sure are the best way to curb young women’s energy.

He Wenyu told the story reluctantly while everyone, except Luo Qianqian and Mo, went to listen to the story...

Luo Qianqian stood dumbfounded watching all of this. Can these people be mature? Aren’t fairy tales for children? Why do these folks who don’t seem so young want to hear fairy tales?

He Wenyu stated... Telling stories is fine, but facing so many expectant gazes is quite pressuring, for a moment, glancing at Luo Qianqian with a grievance.

And after finishing the story, as the little mermaid turned into foam, Luo Qianqian was astonished to find not only Tantan but even the elders of the Mermaid Clan starting to tear up.

Suddenly, she felt awkward: "Looks like whenever money runs out, telling stories at a tea house is also a way to earn it?"

Mo, however, nodded in agreement: "Next time if we need a tea house, make sure to call me. We can’t let others earn this money, right?"

"No worries, we’ll invest together next time." Luo Qianqian chuckled from the side, watching as He Wenyu carefully wiped Tantan’s tears before walking over. She smiled and asked, "Why is Tantan crying?"

"The little mermaid princess is so pitiful. The prince married another princess." Tantan snorted, clearly feeling it’s unfair for the little mermaid.

"Then, if Tantan were the little mermaid, would you return to the ocean and back to the home with your sisters instead of killing the prince?" Luo Qianqian continued asking.

Tantan tilted her head, looking at Luo Qianqian, and after a while said: "Tantan wouldn’t. Killing is bad... Besides, Tantan wouldn’t be foolish enough to give up her voice for two legs. Being with someone who loves you is happiness."

"For the little mermaid, turning into foam is happiness because it’s her choice. For Tantan, as long as any decision she makes leaves her with no regrets, that’s happiness." Luo Qianqian bent down to rub Tantan’s tear-stained rosy cheeks: "Everyone must be responsible for their actions, responsible for what they say and do, so don’t make decisions carelessly because any decision could change someone else’s life."

"Is it okay to tell a child this?" He Wenyu asked, feeling perplexed.

Luo Qianqian raised her eyebrows: "Is our child someone else’s child? Of course, it’s okay, right, Tantan?"

"Yes." Tantan nodded vigorously, then hesitantly looked at He Wenyu: "So, sister, can Tantan make decisions?"

"Of course, let us hear what decision Xiao Tantan wants to make?" He Wenyu suddenly felt curious and looked at Tantan.

Tantan gulped: "Tantan feels if she doesn’t eat some meat soon, drool will start to flow, so Tantan wants some meat."

"Pfft..." Luo Qianqian burst into laughter, helplessly shaking her head. But eating is indeed very important to a child.

"Ah, little foodie, go ahead and eat." He Wenyu sliced a plate of meat, handing it to Tantan: "Such a little person who eats so much."

"I want to eat too, want roasted vegetables." Luo Qianqian grinned at He Wenyu.

He Wenyu also shook his head helplessly but calmly set up the grill, showing no signs of refusing.

Mo watched as Tantan and Luo Qianqian’s faces were filled with joy while they ate, and he also laughed.

The group opposite, on the other hand, didn’t know what to say, since, well, they’re not close, right?

"Big brother, Meteor Gold? Eh, smells so good..." Seventh Elder, with fiery red hair and sweaty face, rushed out. He hadn’t even caught sight of the environment before he’d smelled the aroma, filling him with longing.

"Seventh Elder, have some too? Eat well to have strength to work." Luo Qianqian naturally invited, as he’s the one crafting the weapon for He Wenyu, right?

Seeing Luo Qianqian’s attitude, Elder Huozi almost choked on his own saliva.

Is it necessary? Clearly both are elders of the dwarf tribe, why does Seventh Elder receive better treatment than him? Feeling unfair inside yet, he couldn’t say anything...

"Alright, alright." Seventh Elder joyfully jumped in, without a hint of pretense, directly approaching, seeing Tantan happily eating, he also chuckled: "Will you let Grandpa Seventh try some?"

"There’s more for Seventh Elder over there; Sister Shiliu is slicing some." Tantan pouted protecting her food: "Besides, if Seventh Elder were Tantan’s grandpa, wouldn’t he become the grandpa of the sisters?"

Seeing the instantly dangerous glare from Luo Qianqian, Seventh Elder was momentarily speechless. Does this mean he later has to address little Tantan on equal terms? But now, with the current status of Luo Qianqian and He Wenyu, clearly it’s not as grandchildren, isn’t it insulting? They have wine, after all...
