Chapter 1884: Chapter 1864:

Back at the Forget Worries Tea House, Mo had already gone back ahead, and just as everyone was about to ask something, the two came back leisurely.

Qin Nuan looked at the two, glancing behind them for a moment before asking quizzically, "Where’s Cong Ying?"

Luo Qianqian shrugged, looking innocent, "Couldn’t catch up..."

He Wenyu almost got thunderstruck by Luo Qianqian, seriously? Out for so long and just a simple ’couldn’t catch up’? Who’d believe that?

"We ran into classmates, had to go back for class, just came to say hi," Luo Qianqian said calmly, waving to Mo, "Let’s go."

Tantan looked at Luo Qianqian waving to her, though reluctant, still waved back obediently. After all, good kids don’t cry over such things. Besides, the sisters would come to visit her.

Compared to Tantan’s calmness, Zhang Sheng was completely bewildered. Suddenly leaving? So soon? They hadn’t even talked much!

But looking at He Wenyu, he also sighed and waved goodbye.

After all, ’If love can last long, why yearn for the morning and evening?’. They have plenty of time, no need to worry about temporary pleasure.

Although Qin Nuan didn’t get an answer, she clearly had some understanding, so wasn’t particularly surprised or anxious, waved her hand plainly.

Needless to say, Luo Yanhai was just a prop, nothing for him to worry about.

Only Lin Jiayou didn’t seem calm. But still said nothing, sternly watching Lin Nianan, didn’t ask a thing.

Anyway, Freedom Town isn’t too big, they would definitely come back at night, otherwise where else would she go!

With this in mind, even less expression was shown.

Mo got up calmly, turned around, and left with Luo Qianqian.

He Wenyu could only shrug and follow.

Qin Nuan seeing this scenario, instead calmed down, nodding thoughtfully, "Alright then, hubby, let’s have porridge and pickles tonight? My mood now suits something light."

Luo Yanran said nothing, knowing Luo Qianqian well enough that she must’ve found someone. As for why they didn’t return? Clearly, it’s all part of the next act. As her brother, he’d better stay quiet and enjoy the show, otherwise end up like Lin Jiayou? How sad...

"Let’s go for barbecue?" Luo Qianqian looked at the two, giggling, "Oh right, Mo, later sprinkle a bit of water, Cong Ying wants to join the selection. Somehow, she must gain some fame before getting eliminated, huh." Without fame, how would it reach Forget Worries Tea House?

Mo helplessly lowered her head, "Are you bribing me?"

"Sure, wasn’t planning to take you for barbecue?" Luo Qianqian said earnestly, "Or, add my specially crafted ’Duck-tail Cocktail’ for you?"

"Aren’t they all cocktails?" Mo was taken aback.

"Clearly there’s a reason..." He Wenyu glanced at Luo Qianqian beside her, speaking calmly without sneering, "Cocktails are based on different liquid densities that don’t mix, creating a layered effect, vibrant and captivating colors. As for duck-tail cocktail? Do you think we have many ingredients? She mixes beer, liquor, grape wine, yellow wine and such, with alcohol able to dissolve in water at any ratio, thus, the color is nasty, and the taste unappealing. Pretending to be cocktails, hence named ’duck-tail cocktail’."

Luo Qianqian found herself somewhat embarrassed, yet still brazenly argued, "You’re lying, I did add soda water, carbonated drinks, juice, and tea beverages!"

"Right, so the final color... Cocktails have one called ’Bloody Mary’, supposedly vampires’ favorite. Yours is ’Death God’s Smile’, because just seeing it feels like being eyed by the Death God, and sipping a mouthful only reinforces that, seeing the Death God’s smile immediately, a foreboding sense of being taken away the next second." He Wenyu calmly narrated the facts. As the only one who tried this concoction, she had the most authority. But Luo Qianqian felt... quite awkward...

"The name is rather intriguing." Mo had a hint of suppressed laughter, but didn’t laugh outright, "Next time, let the Seventh Elder try it."

"Ah, you’re bad." He Wenyu exclaimed in surprise.

In a blink, she snickered, certainly those who haven’t experienced it wouldn’t understand its potency, trying... wouldn’t hurt.

Luo Qianqian was stunned, but soon chuckled, "So, should we let Mr. Ji Lei try too? Respect the old and care for the young...no, respect teachers and cherish the way."

Ji Lei happened to pass by, saw the three, initially hesitated to greet, but hearing the term of endearment quickly got excited, hurriedly approached, "What?"

Having spotted Ji Lei secretly, Mo remained quiet, knowing Ji Lei hadn’t overheard their conversation, thus didn’t alert Luo Qianqian.

"Ah, we were discussing a type of drink." He Wenyu promptly spoke. Nervously glanced at Luo Qianqian, yet found Luo Qianqian’s face utterly calm, totally unbothered by anything, instantly calmed down.

"Drink? That... I want!" Ji Lei eagerly nodded repeatedly, expression filled with anticipation and excitement.

Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, never seen someone rushing into trouble knowingly, is it?

"Then later, we’ll come find you." He Wenyu smiled.

Ji Lei nodded, then glanced at the item in his hand, slapped his forehead, "Oh right, here’s this for you." He handed the thing to Mo, "This is the emblem for insiders, keep it well."

A small box, seemingly weighty.

Mo accepted, naturally tucked it away, "Thanks."

"No worries, I’m off now." Ji Lei grumbled walking back, he wouldn’t mention the reason he readily agreed was to freeload at the Forget Worries Tea House, who would’ve guessed he’d encounter this?

Yet wasn’t too worked up, since there’s still some good news. Alcohol and such, consistently thrills from head to toe, it’s magical, making one euphoric.

"After he tries, surely won’t want to interact with it again." He Wenyu decisively spoke.

After all, the alcohol everyone encountered was merely used occasionally in cooking. But that taste versus what Luo Qianqian’s concoction... it’s an absolute world of difference, okay?

However, it’s considered a boon for drinkers? She even came up with a slogan: Want to quit alcohol? Must try the Nine Heavens Pavilion ’Duck-tail cocktail’, from then on never lingering for booze again!

Just thinking about it felt... quite amusing.
