Chapter 1928 - 1908: An Hao Running Away from Home?
Chapter 1928: Chapter 1908: An Hao Running Away from Home?
After seeing An Zilan and his group off, Luo Shufan picked up some tasty snacks and went to look for An Hao, planning to coax him properly. After all, Luo Qianqian still cares a lot about this little brother—if this little guy went and tattled, what would happen to his big brother’s dignity?
He just hadn’t expected... An Hao had actually left a note saying he was going into seclusion in the back mountain.
Looking at the crooked, twisted handwriting, Luo Shufan could only laugh and cry, and shook his head slightly.
But kids are always quick to cool off, right? They forget things so easily.
He stuffed all the good food into An Hao’s little room, then got up and left, completely failing to notice that the things An Hao usually used were missing quite a lot...
An Hao glared at the bracelet on his wrist, puffing his cheeks as he carried a small bundle on his back.
Because... his cultivation level wasn’t high enough, he couldn’t use a Spatial Storage Device. Even though he knew there were lots of things inside, he still couldn’t use it!!!
He quietly followed behind An Zilan and his group, not caring at all that he had already left the wings he’d relied on to survive. Once he stepped beyond the Nine Heavens Pavilion’s boundary, he was no longer that lawless Crown Prince with everyone indulging him.
Feng Xi sat on a treetop watching An Hao leave. She glanced at Qin Wen beside her, who was leisurely reading a book, raised an eyebrow: "Aren’t you going to tell Shufan?"
Qin Wen looked completely unconcerned: "Haven’t you already made up your mind? What are you asking me for?"
Feng Xi was instantly speechless. Talking to people who are too smart does save effort, but there’s zero fun in it, seriously?
"Then let’s go." Feng Xi turned around, changed into extremely plain clothes, and slung a basket over her arm.
Qin Wen smoothly took out some clothes from goodness-knows-where and pulled them on. After this long, the gap between them was already crystal clear; there was no need to chase after some flashy move.
No matter how handsomely he changed his clothes, he still couldn’t beat Feng Xi’s moves, could he?
The two of them followed closely in An Hao’s footsteps and left the Nine Heavens Pavilion.
Luo Xiying quietly watched the two and silently rolled his eyes, then turned back to continue his training. As for what was going on here? He didn’t know, didn’t see, knew nothing.
Anyway, as long as someone was following An Hao to protect him, it’d be fine.
Anything beyond that, it was better not to talk too much, or too many people would start worrying.
The difference was, because An Hao didn’t need to think about bringing gifts or buying things, he actually reached the Flight Station earlier than An Zilan and the others.
An Zilan’s group was taking the Forget Worries Tea House’s dedicated transport ship; it ran every day.
But An Hao rode the public one. Because Freedom Town had been bustling recently, they’d abruptly added a direct route.
And nobody cared about a little kid; he just snuck onto the Flying Chicken without a ticket, grabbed some random seat, and sat down...
The two people following behind him bought tickets like proper citizens, then realized they couldn’t find a trace of the boy. Anxious as they were, there was nothing they could do—so they could only sit tight.
Anyway, they knew An Hao’s destination very clearly...
An Hao sat properly, opened his bundle, and took out some pastries to eat. The Nine Heavens Pavilion might be short on all kinds of things, but when it came to pastries, it really was never lacking.
Because of the enticing fragrance, someone soon came over to strike up a conversation with An Hao.
An Hao didn’t care in the slightest that he only had a limited amount of snacks. He generously shared them with the others and immediately won the affection of the whole group.
The trip went smoothly, but because Feng Xi and Qin Wen were in a compartment near the back, by the time they got off the Flying Chicken, An Hao’s figure was nowhere to be found...
An Hao had been sitting in a VIP compartment, and the people in that compartment conveniently brought him along to Freedom Town.
Feng Xi couldn’t be bothered with the stares around her anymore; she directly reverted to her true form, then relied on sensing his aura to track An Hao’s direction, and quickly found where to go.
Only... by the time they caught up, An Hao had already followed the people who’d brought him over and entered Freedom Town.
And in front of them, there was still a long line...
Thanks to the pastry bond, An Hao was kindly dropped off at the door of the Forget Worries Tea House. They even left him a Jade Token, telling him that if he couldn’t find them, he should go to the inn to look for them.
Meanwhile, Luo Qianqian, who was in the courtyard studying clothing styles, suddenly seemed to sense something. She shot to her feet, tossed the fabric aside and let it fall to the ground, then hurriedly ran toward the entrance.
An Hao, exhausted, stared at the building in front of him, feeling a little hesitant, not sure how he should explain...
"An Hao!" Luo Qianqian saw the small child whose eyes were full of confusion, and her mind went blank. The next second she threw herself at him.
"Sis!!!" The moment An Hao saw Luo Qianqian, any notion of explaining flew right out of his head. He pounced on her and immediately started crying.
Only after he’d cried himself out did Luo Qianqian, from his sniffly, mumbled account, piece together that he had actually snuck out...
She silently took out a Communication Jade Slip and sent Luo Shufan a quick message, then, both helpless and angry, gave a light smack to his backside: "What if something had happened to you? You’re not allowed to do this again!"
"But Sis, you never come back..." An Hao said, aggrieved.
Tantan tilted her head to the side, looking at An Hao: "Sis, who is he? He’s so big already and still crying—so embarrassing..."
"She’s my sister, you’re not allowed to call her Sis!" An Hao instantly jumped off the chair in indignation, hands on his hips as he shouted.
Right about then, Feng Xi and Qin Wen arrived as well...
Qin Nuan was dumbfounded too, but quickly processed it: "So this brat even came with bodyguards, huh?"
"Come on, don’t. We didn’t even manage to catch up with him." Qin Wen sighed, picked up the teacup in front of Qin Nuan and downed it in one gulp. "Do your city entrance fees have to be that expensive?"
"How would I know?" Luo Qianqian was blank-faced; apparently, aside from paying that first time, she’d never taken out money again on her trips back and forth. Wasn’t she the one who’d gone outside the city to tutor people in music?
As for Qin Nuan, even more so—she hadn’t left since she got here...
"You guys rest first." Luo Yanran hurried to pour more tea and bring out pastries, completely dazed...
"An Hao, this is Tantan, the little wife we found for you." He Wenyu immediately snickered as she spoke.
An Hao froze, then his face twisted in refusal: "No way, what an ugly freak."
"Who wants you!" Tantan pouted angrily, but her eyes still couldn’t help sneaking glances at An Hao. She whined to Luo Qianqian, "Sis, hold me."
Luo Qianqian picked her up, and An Hao instantly exploded, flailing on the floor like a little beast: "Sis!!! I forbid you to hold anyone else!!!"
"Well, well, look who it is. So full of energy, aren’t you?" Lin Jiayou had just finished his work; as soon as he came over, he saw that familiar figure and burst out laughing.
"Who are you?" An Hao stared blankly at the scruffy ’uncle’ with the stubble, struggling fiercely. "Let go of your young master!!!"
Lin Jiayou: "..." This was his little brother?
"Come here, young master, come here." Luo Qianqian put Tantan down, grabbed An Hao, and gave his little butt a smack: "Where are your manners? You don’t even recognize your own big brother?"
"My big brother isn’t this old." An Hao muttered under his breath.
Lin Jiayou, wounded, went off to shave his beard...
