Chapter 1977: Chapter 1957:

Qhianqhian somehow ended up cultivating in that cave for a solid two months, and when the two months were up, it was Mo who came to take her out.

"Where’s Shiliu?" Qhianqhian looked around suspiciously, confusion written all over her face.

After all, they’d gone in together, so naturally they should be coming out together.

Mo’s expression was a little awkward. "She’s right at a critical point in her cultivation, best not disturb her."

Qhianqhian froze for a moment, then nodded. That made sense; don’t even mention He Wenyu, even she herself could vaguely feel that she was about to touch the bottleneck to the next level.

"Then let’s go first. Have someone keep an eye on things here, don’t let anything happen to her. If she ends up facing a Jie alone, that’d really be hard to deal with." Qhianqhian reminded him seriously.

Mo gave a helpless laugh. "You think her teacher is Air or something? How would he let her be in danger? If you really have to say it, the ones in danger should be us." After all, the place they were about to go to was completely unpredictable. If something like Hundred Flavors Mushroom could exist there in batches, who would dare say what other dangers there might be? So now all they could do was leave it to fate and go with the flow.

"True. If that old man can’t protect Shiliu, I’m afraid we won’t get to eat anything tasty ever again." Qhianqhian nodded in deep agreement, then looked at Mo and grinned. "You have to protect me too, you know. I’m a world-class little piece of trash, if I die it’ll cause environmental pollution, so I must not die."

"What nonsense are you spouting." Mo flicked her hard on the head, annoyed and amused. "Let’s go get things ready first. I’ve already prepared your gear. To prevent you from causing environmental pollution, I have to protect you properly."

Qhianqhian rubbed the top of her head innocently. How was that any different from what she’d said? Wasn’t it exactly the same? Completely unreasonable—she said it about herself and got smacked, but when someone else said it she had to just accept it calmly. How was that fair?

While Qhianqhian was silently fuming, Mo had already brought her to the only building where no students ever appeared—the building where the Dean stayed.

"Come on." Seeing Qhianqhian hesitate, Mo grabbed her hand and dragged her inside, snapping, "You think I’d hurt you or something? What are you imagining? Don’t you feel like you’re wasting time?"

"Ah, no," Qhianqhian quickly shook her head. "I was just thinking... if the Dean finds out we barged in, will he nag us to death?"

"Nagging, no. But if you show up late you might get yelled at." Mo shook his head helplessly and led Qhianqhian straight to the Dean’s office.

"Eh? Seventh Elder?" Qhianqhian blinked when she saw the familiar person in the Dean’s office. What kind of situation was this now?

The red-haired Elder looked at Qhianqhian and smiled, nodding. "I’ve been to the Forget Worries Tea House. The food really is delicious."

Qhianqhian: "???" What the heck? The Forget Worries Tea House isn’t even open right now, how did you go? And "really delicious"? You sure you didn’t go to some knockoff Forget Worries Tea House? Or did Fourth Brother open a back door for you?

Seventh Elder smacked his lips with satisfaction. "But, Xiao Tantan gets to eat so many good things every day, it makes me feel it’s a little unfair, you know? I’ve decided to stay a bit longer."

Qhianqhian’s mouth twitched. You’re a dignified Seventh Elder, and you’re actually nitpicking with a little kid like Tantan over this... Is this... really okay? Kind of beneath your status, you know.

"Ahem..." Mo was speechless on the side as well. As far as he knew, Seventh Elder had already been here for quite some time, and he even showed up at the Forget Worries Tea House more punctually than Di Jun every day. And that still wasn’t enough? If the rest of the dwarf tribe found out, they’d die of envy.

It was just... beyond words.

"Oh right, this soft armor is for you. It’s forged from top-grade materials. And these, these arrows are specially made for you. Don’t look down on them just because there are only three—they’re god-slaying." Seventh Elder proudly emphasized the last three words, and when he saw the Dean and Mo’s faces both change, he looked even more pleased with himself.

But Qhianqhian didn’t have any exaggerated reaction; she took it as only natural. "It’d be more surprising if they couldn’t," she said, then curled her lip at Mo. "My bow is an ultra-powerful existence that gathers the essence of heaven and earth and absorbs the Spiritual Energy of the sun and moon. How could anyone overlook that?"

"Yes, yes." Mo chuckled, then said helplessly, "Just put them away. There are only three arrows, but they’re still a life-saving trump card for you, aren’t they?"

"Got it." Seeing how serious Mo was, Qhianqhian walked up and picked them up. The moment she did, she felt the Spiritual Power in her body being obstructed, and she froze for a moment. What was going on now? Could this be... some kind of rare material?

"Meteor Gold? You’re being pretty generous." Mo recognized the material at a glance and laughed. "This is one of the dwarf tribe’s treasured collections, isn’t it?"

Seventh Elder stroked his beard—currently braided by Tantan—with some pride. "There’s also Moon Spirit Magnet. As long as it’s been marked by Moonlight Stone, you can kill from a thousand miles away."

"...You really went all out." Mo was briefly at a loss for words, then turned to explain to Qhianqhian, "Moonlight Stone and Moon Spirit Magnet don’t exist in the current era anymore. Even if you wanted to find them, it’d be extremely difficult. Most of what’s around now are leftovers from ancient times."

Qhianqhian nodded in understanding. So basically like dinosaurs—used to exist, now extinct, and even if they do show up it’s just traces.

"Since you took out the Moon Spirit Magnet, where’s the Moonlight Stone?" Mo held out his hand. Anything that could help Qhianqhian, he wasn’t about to turn down.

"What’s the rush? It’s not going to run away." Seeing Mo’s expression, the old man rubbed his forehead helplessly. Did this kid not understand respecting elders and loving the young?

"I have to wait for you to put the Moon Spirit Magnet away before I take out the Moonlight Stone. Otherwise, do you want to watch the Academy get destroyed because of you and me?" Seventh Elder was speechless. Was this kid really that impulsive?

"...Fine." Mo casually grabbed the three arrows and tossed them into his own storage space, then arched a brow at Seventh Elder.

Seventh Elder shook his head and took out a pale yellow stone. Its color leaned toward white, round and lustrous like jade. If you didn’t already know it was Moonlight Stone, you’d definitely think it was some kind of Jade—pretty and smooth.

"I only brought one piece out. I figure that in a truly life-or-death moment, you might not even get the chance to use it. Of course, the main reason is that this thing is pretty valuable. If I brought too many, the Great Elder would yell at me." Seventh Elder said slowly.

Right now, aside from being filled with envy and jealousy toward Tantan, he didn’t bother looking at anyone else.

Who cares about the Great Elder? Can the Great Elder eat that many delicious things every day? Can the Great Elder enjoy that much every day? Tantan is still the happiest of all!
