Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 2001 - 1981:
Chapter 2001: Chapter 1981:
"Flying foxes sound pretty interesting. Hey, why not try a wolf? They’re all canines, so interbreeding should be easy, right?" Long Tu continued pondering, head lowered as he considered the feasibility of this idea.
"You’re a male anyway, so trying out different species isn’t a loss, right?" Long Tu said earnestly.
Hu Batian: "..." Ugh...
He didn’t even dare admit he himself was a mix of Spirit Fox and Phoenix... This person’s too terrifying!!!
Always wanting to treat him as a Breeding Fox for interspecies mating, like, doesn’t she know he’s got the Vastness of Time bloodline and Spirit Fox bloodline? Does she have to be so ruthless?
"But a fox that doesn’t grow up might be more endearing; you should find a smaller physique, this big..." Long Tu began down a path of intimidation, completely ignoring Hu Batian’s internal turmoil.
"I can shrink, I can control it!" Hu Batian truly felt like crying; for such a big fox, to be threatened by this ant-like person? Yet... he really was intimidated; it was absolutely unbelievable, wasn’t it? But the reality was laid out right in front of him.
"Oh, well a better-looking one then... Speaking of which, fox dogs are pretty cute..." Long Tu said seriously.
"..." Hu Batian just felt his whole fox-life filled with sadness, why must he be forced into breeding? Don’t they know about love freedom? Don’t they know fox aesthetics should be respected? Why does he need to be related to dogs?
"Speaking of which, in previous TV shows, Samoyeds were used to impersonate White Foxes..." Long Tu said earnestly, looking at Hu Batian’s scrutinizing face: "Could Samoyeds be a crossbreed between White Foxes and White Dogs?"
Even though Hu Batian didn’t know what a Samoyed was, he felt that listening to Long Tu any longer would plunge his future into darkness—not only to become a Breeding Fox but having to mate with various animals. Could he get some respect for his fox-life? He also had his own pursuits, okay?
"Speaking of which, have you ever thought about entering an interspecies romance with a dragon?" Long Tu’s eyes brightened: "Have a fluffy dragon baby, or a fox baby with scales, both seem like nice options, huh?"
Hu Batian: "..." That’s actually a good choice...
But! What is a fluffy dragon baby? If a dragon grows fur, can it even be considered a dragon?
Also, what’s with a scaled fox baby? Is that still a fox? Can’t you be a bit more reliable!
"I wonder where there’s a dragon, catching one would be great..." Long Tu couldn’t help but say, eyes full of anticipation.
Hu Batian: "Upstairs, please?" Stop torturing him, his fox-life was really about to enter darkness!
"No, no, going up isn’t as interesting as studying species! I used to think about being a scientist, but now that I think about it, being a biologist wouldn’t be bad; specializing in breeding studies is quite fun too!" Long Tu said and sat down, with no intention of going upstairs.
Hu Batian: "..." He was wrong, he deeply felt he was wrong—he shouldn’t have woken up. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t stop Long Tu, he wouldn’t become a Breeding Fox, and wouldn’t feel his fox-life filled with darkness and despair...
"Hey, what kind of partner do you like?" Long Tu obviously remained enthusiastic: "Do you like furry ones, scaled ones, or what? Are your kids born viviparous or oviparous? Do you have double-yolk twin eggs? Have you considered what to name your children?"
Listening to Long Tu, Hu Batian’s heart collapsed: "Between different species, one must shape-shift to human form to mate..."
How could they not know such a thing, yet think this person could truly control this Demon Suppression Tower?
No matter what, the Demon Suppression Tower was once the property of the Five Emperors, and most importantly, a relic from ancient times; before he arrived, it already housed countless creatures, albeit weak ones, constantly crawling up or becoming stairway guardians each floor, each finding its place; nothing particularly noteworthy.
But those creatures seemed extraordinarily useless, yet even if he acted, they couldn’t defeat him either; it ended in a draw.
There’s only one way to pass through these floors—having overwhelming power so the other side willingly gives way.
"Tch... Alright, I’ll head up first, we can talk about this mate-selection issue later..." Saying this, Long Tu calmly stood.
Hu Batian breathed a sigh of relief, just as he was about to lie down, he saw Long Tu sit back down...
What now?!
Suddenly, the fur on his tail stood up, the whole fox was not alright, isn’t this just bullying the fox?
Seeing Hu Batian’s alertness, Long Tu wasn’t bothered and instead asked, "You should be monogamous, without promiscuous traditions, right?"
"We’re not Dragon Clan, we Fox Clan love only one fox for life; a heart can’t divide into two halves." Hu Batian said proudly, thus Long Tu’s breeding theory was quite insulting to him, wasn’t it?
They’re not humans, with their marriages for multiple wives; if you truly love someone, how could you bear to make her suffer?
This is clearly promiscuous and trying to justify it!
"That’s good, I’m leaving." Long Tu nodded calmly, stood up, and went upstairs.
Hu Batian confirmed repeatedly that Long Tu didn’t come back down, finally relaxing, then lay on the ground, eyes rolling around.
Once the Demon Suppression Tower has an owner, they can be released, so he’s somewhat hopeful for the future; only... not sure this human with bizarre tastes would truly grant them freedom?
That’s right, bizarre taste, and quite a bizarre taste.
Apparently, no human came here without rushing for cultivation, yet this guy came to chat aimlessly with him without urgency—it’s truly unfathomable to a fox, isn’t it?
But it’s also something to anticipate; at least, they wouldn’t die in this Demon Suppression Tower, right?
"Hopefully you succeed," Hu Batian swept his big tail up, wrapping himself, ignoring anything else.
And at this moment, Long Tu had reached the ninth floor, looking at the empty space ahead, with only a meditation cushion, a bit stunned.
Below were micro-worlds, but here it truly seemed only the tower’s size?
Does that mean there’s no micro-world here? So, what should he do?
After a long silence, he took a deep breath, sitting on the cushion, and was enveloped by a hazy glow.
