Chapter 1316: Chapter 1316: Quack Doctor

"Are they here to see a doctor? Sophie Wilson, don’t you..." Henry Chapman was interrupted before he finished speaking by someone suddenly shouting, "President Carter."

Hearing the shout, Henry Chapman turned his head and saw a middle-aged man forcing his way through the crowd towards the newcomers, plastering a fawning smile on his face. He quickly approached and said with a smile, "President Carter, why are you here?"

"To see a doctor." President Carter, who was about the same age as the middle-aged man, exuded a far superior aura.

Especially after hearing the middle-aged man’s question, President Carter felt even more puzzled.

Is this person crazy?

Coming to a hospital and not seeing a doctor, what else would you do?

"President Carter, there’s something wrong with this hospital." The middle-aged man hurriedly stopped President Carter, explaining, "This hospital is full of quack doctors, delaying treatment. President Carter, if you want to see a doctor, I can recommend another place..."

"Quack doctors?" President Carter stared in astonishment at the middle-aged man, furrowing his brows as he asked, "Who told you they’re quack doctors?"

"Dr. Chapman said so..." The middle-aged man turned his confused gaze towards Henry Chapman. If it weren’t for Chapman’s words, why would he be here?

"I haven’t heard of that expert being a quack." President Carter chuckled meaningfully and said, "Perhaps it’s just colleagues..."

The rest of the sentence was left unsaid by President Carter, but everyone understood his meaning.

Henry Chapman was disparaging his peers.

"President Carter, let me advise you, it’s best to think carefully. The biggest fear in seeking medical treatment is encountering quacks; this hospital’s doctors..." Henry Chapman started to say but was cut off by President Carter.

President Carter’s status was clearly much higher than the middle-aged man Henry Chapman had brought, and naturally, his words were more diplomatic. He smiled and said, "Dr. Chapman, I’ve heard of your reputation. But it’s my own right, isn’t it, to choose which hospital and which doctor to visit?"

"Of course, I’m just hoping you won’t be misled by deceitful people and delay treatment," Henry Chapman reminded President Carter.

"I don’t think so." With that, President Carter mentioned a name and asked the stunned Henry Chapman, "Dr. Chapman, do you think this person is a quack?"

Cold sweat broke out on Henry Chapman’s forehead. What kind of joke was this? How could that person possibly be a quack?

In terms of medical expertise, that person was leagues ahead of his father, a consummate expert.

Even if you gave Henry Chapman the courage of eight men, he wouldn’t dare to call that person a quack.

If he truly uttered such words, forget others—his father alone could slap him to death.

Especially since his father learned a lot from that person back in the day, practically a mentor to his father, making him his grand-mentor.

As Henry Chapman listened to President Carter’s words, everyone else heard them too.

Some didn’t quite understand, but the journalists around had done their homework, and upon hearing this, they were shocked.

Wasn’t that person a leading authority in internal medicine?

How could someone like that possibly be a quack?

Seeing cold sweat continuously breaking out on Henry Chapman’s face, President Carter curled his lips slightly, "Dr. Chapman, could you let me through so I can see the doctor?"

"Ah, ah..." Henry Chapman moved his stiff body aside to make a way.

The people he had gathered automatically parted to both sides, watching as several people who had just arrived hurriedly entered the hospital.

The hospital staff immediately went to work professionally and in an orderly way.
