Chapter 1343: Chapter 1343: No Room for Rebuttal

Old Mr. Seymour naturally wouldn’t worry about Ethan Seymour. He knew Ethan wasn’t very sharp, but James Reed was a different story.

"No worries." Charles Seymour said nonchalantly, "Sophie knows what she’s doing. If James Reed wants to trip her up, he’s barking up the wrong tree."

James Reed’s tactics might work on ordinary people.

But Sophie, who had been honed bit by bit in rogue companies for over a decade, would never be outsmarted by James Reed.

Mentioning Sophie, Charles automatically drifted in thought to the training base. He wondered how Sophie was doing.

At dinner time, the training base was also having dinner.

Sophie Wilson smiled as she placed some food into her son Bao’s bowl and asked him, "Is it good?"

"Mm." Bao nodded heavily, enjoying the food tremendously.

Sophie reached out and ruffled Bao’s small head. Her son was truly easy to look after, never picky with food.

Speaking of which, teaching Bao so well was also due to her husband, Mr. Seymour’s, contribution.

Sigh...

Sophie sighed lightly, feeling a bit homesick for her Mr. Seymour.

After feeding herself and Bao, Sophie stood up with a smile and said to the others in the cafeteria, "Everyone, rest well after you’ve eaten. Tomorrow is another beautiful day!"

In the quiet cafeteria, nearly a hundred people turned their heads in sync, staring blankly at Sophie, all looking as if life’s spirit had been beaten out of them.

It was clear that quite a few people had lost weight. In such a short time, they were already seeing results, showing just how "successful" Sophie’s training methods were.

Kai Bright was among those with relatively better spirits, but even his voice sounded weak as he said, "Sis, just finish and go rest."

Stop saying so much, okay?

It’s drawing too much resentment, easy to get beaten up.

"Alrighty, I’m off then." Sophie smiled sweetly and greeted everyone before leaving with Bao.

Beside her, Kellan Blake glanced at Kai and spoke in an even lower voice, trying to conserve energy.

"Don’t worry, we don’t even have the strength to beat anyone up." Kellan stated a fact, making everyone at the table nod in agreement.

"Moreover, even if we tried to fight, we wouldn’t win." Kellan added, directly hitting everyone’s sore spot.

They wanted to refute but couldn’t.

The crowd paused, and their complicated feelings instantly turned into tremendous motivation, eating quickly.

They intended to rest early today and reclaim some dignity tomorrow!

Clearly, they weren’t the only ones with this thought. Even Kai Bright was holding onto this motivation.

The next day, the high-spirited people were completely... crushed.

Frederick Cole glanced at the "miserably unsightly" crowd on the training ground, slowly turning his head to look at the beaming Sophie and asked, "Isn’t this training a bit..."

"Too easy?" Sophie sighed helplessly after her rhetorical question, "I’d like to increase the training intensity, but they’re not really in great shape."

Not in great shape?

If these selected people hadn’t all been picked by Frederick himself, he’d almost believe what Sophie was saying.

These were the elite from various camps, and yet here... how come they suddenly gave him the impression of the "old, weak, sick, and disabled"?

This must be his own illusion!
