Mrs. Clark’s threat left Sophie Wilson dumbfounded, staring blankly at Patrick Grant.

How did Uncle Grant end up finding such a wife back then?

Sophie’s gaze was too straightforward, which made Patrick Grant somewhat speechless. He sighed lightly, “I was too young back then.”

His talent in stone gambling, the money he earned, truly inflated his ego.

He was so high-spirited that he became arrogant, and then he took a big fall, which suddenly sobered him up.

Sophie nodded, understanding.

Everyone has their moments of youthful impulsiveness.

Seeing that Patrick and Sophie were chatting away on their own, Mrs. Clark’s threat was ignored, leaving her hanging right there.

“Patrick, if you’re so determined, then don’t blame us,” Mrs. Clark gave Patrick a deep look, filled with disappointment for him.

Mrs. Clark didn’t say anything further, but directly took out her phone and dialed Master Clark, “You can come out now. I’ve tried my best to persuade him. He’s determined, I can’t help him anymore.”

Sophie almost laughed to death; even at this point, Mrs. Clark was still able to claim she was doing it for others’ good while harming them.

Just for the thickness of her skin, Sophie had to give her a thumbs up.

Mrs. Clark hung up the phone, turned to look at Patrick Grant, and exhaled heavily, saying regretfully, “Patrick, this is for your own good. I can’t just watch you continue making mistakes with my eyes wide open.”

“If you can secretly sell raw materials like this once, there will be a second time,” Mrs. Clark said softly, pretending to be looking out for Patrick’s best interests.

Patrick Grant didn’t say anything.

Mrs. Clark looked at Patrick disappointedly, then someone came out from the private room over there. The voice was loud, and it was undoubtedly Master Clark speaking: “…Really, definitely someone you know well.”

The eyes of the onlookers in the restaurant all turned over.

Everyone was watching from a distance, but no one dared to get close, either staying at their own tables or the waitstaff watching from afar.

This allowed Master Clark and a somewhat younger man to walk over smoothly.

“Right there… Ah, look, Patrick Grant, Mr. Grant, isn’t he the boss of Lingzhu Jade?” Master Clark asked with a smile.

Actually, there was skepticism about Patrick Grant’s identity as the boss of Lingzhu Jade!

Anyway, he learned through a friend that someone from Lingzhu Jade would come, and he made many efforts to arrange a meeting to expose Patrick Grant’s lie.

The man walking beside Master Clark took a glance, saw Patrick, and quickly sped up, politely greeting, “Boss.”

Patrick Grant smiled and gently nodded, “Antonio, you haven’t gone back yet?”

Antonio Lewis replied with a smile, “I was planning to head back today, but a friend from my past introduced me to Master Clark, so I came out for a meal.”

“Boss, this is a stone gambling expert around here.” Antonio Lewis smiled as he introduced Patrick Grant to Master Clark, “Master Clark, this is the boss of Lingzhu Jade.”

Master Clark’s face turned pale.

Patrick Grant was indeed the boss of Lingzhu Jade.

Even so, he didn’t lose!
