Chapter 1435: A Good Thing

“Back then, you could have secret affairs with me behind Patrick Grant’s back, and now you can still have affairs with others behind my back.” Master Clark stared at Mrs. Clark as if she were filthy garbage.

“You, you’re crossing the line!” Mrs. Clark shouted angrily, “Back then, if it weren’t for you, why would I have broken up with Patrick?”

“Patrick? You still call him so intimately.” Master Clark sneered, “Tomorrow, go divorce me!”

Master Clark’s words left Mrs. Clark stunned: “How, how can you divorce me?”

“Why can’t I? You make me wear a cuckold’s hat, I will divorce you. Let me tell you, even Patrick Grant isn’t a cuckold, so I won’t be!” After saying this, Master Clark turned and left.

“I won’t get divorced!” Mrs. Clark shouted angrily.

“You can try!” Master Clark couldn’t believe it; he might fear Isabella Chamberlain, might not be able to provoke Dylan Clark, but if he couldn’t deal with his own wife, what was the point of living?

Over at the hospital, Elder Clark had arranged everything before returning home. He had just called over his eldest son Adam Clark, given him a couple of instructions, and then took an unexpected phone call.

“What? Okay, okay… okay, I’ll be there right away.” Elder Clark hung up the phone and smiled, saying, “Adam, come with me.”

“Dad, what’s going on?” Adam Clark asked while opening the car door for Elder Clark.

“Your cousin has arrived.” Elder Clark said smiling.

“Cousin?” Adam Clark instantly understood, “Daniel Clark?”

“Indeed.” Elder Clark nodded with a smile, the immense joy completely overshadowing the anger from Dylan Clark’s hospitalization.

Just a couple of stitches, with a mild concussion; how could this small matter compare to Daniel Clark’s visit?

“What’s our cousin doing here?” Adam Clark asked, puzzled.

Though they were cousins, their blood relation wasn’t that close. Truth be told, the Clark Family’s vast enterprise here was indeed connected to the Clark Family in Imperial City.

They actually received considerable support from Daniel Clark’s branch.

“You know, recently, your cousin’s family started collaborating with the Peace Group, and that business is growing bigger and bigger. Your cousin is considering expanding here.” Elder Clark said with a smile, “Just right, it’s convenient to recruit workers here, the place is big, so the costs for setting up a factory would be much lower.”

“This is the benefit of being relatives, otherwise this collaboration wouldn’t be easy to negotiate.” Elder Clark said, “Initially, they talked to me briefly, didn’t think they would actually come over to collaborate.”

“This is great news.” Adam Clark said excitedly with a smile, “I’ll make sure to host our cousin well.”

“Yes.” Elder Clark nodded with satisfaction, “Our family relies on you and the third son. Your second brother is just an uneducated loafer. Alas…”

Thinking of Dylan Clark, Elder Clark felt a wave of headache.

“Dad, Dylan just has a childish temperament, he’s been stubborn since he was little, now grown up, it’s even harder for him to change.” Adam Clark felt headaches mentioning his second brother, but what could be done?

No matter what, he’s family. Hit and scold among themselves is fine, but absolutely no bullying from outsiders.

“First, go meet your cousin, when you come back, deal with that matter tomorrow.” Elder Clark instructed in a deep voice.
