Rebirth: He refused to Divorce Again
Chapter 2104: Interwoven Time and Space, Transformed Lives (50)
Yet his heart was still pounding wildly, and his hands holding Xiao Bei trembled a little, something that had never happened before, but he didn’t question it at all and reached out to push open Qiaoqiao’s bedroom door without hesitation.
At this moment, Gu Qiaoqiao, lying on the sofa, after experiencing an endless darkness and countless fragmented visions, followed by darkness again, didn’t even know how long it had been. Suddenly, Gu Qiaoqiao felt as if a sound was coming from all directions. Frowning, she found it a bit noisy and opened her eyes slowly.
When she first opened her eyes, Gu Qiaoqiao was still a little confused, but after quickly scanning the room, she suddenly smiled.
She had returned.
She really was back.
She had returned to this world from that other one.
It was at this point that the door opened, and a tall figure, holding a little girl in his arms, appeared at the doorway. Beside this tall figure was also a little boy, who was tightly pressing his lips together, staring at her with eyes as clear as water.
This was Qin Yize, along with her two children.
However, Gu Qiaoqiao continued to sit on the sofa, still staring at the trio of father and children. Then she saw Qin Yize put Xiao Bei down. The little girl, as beautiful as a little princess, usually so unruly, was now looking at her with timid, watery big eyes.
Such an expression, she was seeing it for the first time in her child.
Gu Qiaoqiao felt an unbearable heartache.
Just as she was about to speak, suddenly noticing that dress, Gu Qiaoqiao blinked and said, “Xiao Bei, where did your little tummy go?”
She used to dislike the little tummy, but now without it, somehow, her precious daughter looked out of place.
The bond between mother and daughter is naturally telepathic. The innate closeness of blood made Xiao Bei instantly understand that her mother was better, her mother recognized her, her mother remembered her. Xiao Bei threw herself towards Gu Qiaoqiao with a cry, hugging Gu Qiaoqiao tightly by the neck, saying with a choking voice, “Mom, you used to say I had a tummy and that I didn’t look good in dresses, and then you ignored me. I thought if my tummy was gone, you’d surely come back. Mom, Xiao Bei missed you so much…”
Gu Qiaoqiao’s eyes were also wet, and at this moment, the two father and son at the doorway finally felt relieved.
Qin Yize blinked hard to hold back the tears in his eyes. What stood before him was his wife, and the other two were his children. He couldn’t cry in front of them—that would be too embarrassing.
In this moment, his face, which hadn’t smiled in two months, was filled with gentle expressions.
Xiao Bao, upon seeing Gu Qiaoqiao, knew that his mom was back. But he was slower than his little sister; she had already rushed into their mom’s arms and babbled a lot, while he was still in a daze. It wasn’t until he snapped out of it that Xiao Bao quickly dashed forward, too.
Thus, only Qin Yize was left standing at the door alone. At this moment, Qin Yize felt a bit regretful; he was too impulsive. He shouldn’t have brought the two children; he should have come by himself.
But at the same time, his heart was full of happiness and joy.
How wonderful, his Qiaoqiao, his wife had returned!
Meanwhile, in another dimension’s Imperial Capital.
Gu Qiaoqiao, after experiencing countless fleeting lights and shadows, finally felt that her surroundings seemed a bit familiar, so she slowly opened her eyes. What met her eyes was her room in the Imperial Capital, not Gu Garden. When she turned to the other side, she immediately gazed into a pair of dark starry eyes.
At that moment, those eyes held emotions that seemed indecipherable to anyone.
And he surprisingly stood up in delight.
He was Qin Yize.
Gu Qiaoqiao sat up from the bed, and he had already walked to the bedside, seemingly wanting to reach out his hand, but after some thought, he retracted it, only saying softly, “Qiaoqiao, you’re awake.”
Gu Qiaoqiao just moved her lips slightly, then closed her eyes again, for at this moment, her mind seemed to be receiving segment after segment of information.
This information was initially incomplete, but as she received it smoothly, all the information connected. Then she understood what that Qiaoqiao had done in this world.
She had done a lot and changed a lot.
And she also knew her little uncle was now in the Imperial Capital, in the living room outside, along with her Great Grandfather.
At this moment, Gu Qiaoqiao was still keeping her eyes closed. Qin Yize even held his breath; he didn’t know what was happening, but he knew Qiaoqiao was obviously going through something, so he didn’t dare make a sound or move, just stood straight in front of her bed, intensely watching her.
At this point, Gu Qiaoqiao had finished accepting all the memories. She opened her eyes slowly again, then looked down at her fingers, lightly moving them. A surge of joy filled her heart.
Her little uncle was right; with the awakening of her bloodline, wherever she went, it would follow her like a shadow. Even though she had returned to this world, she had also brought her abilities back with her.
A faint smile appeared on Gu Qiaoqiao’s lips. Seeing this, Qin Yize was a bit surprised but also overwhelmingly joyful.
Since the incident, it was the first time he had seen such a bright and cheerful smile on Qiaoqiao’s face. At this moment, Qin Yize even felt a surge of emotion to cry.
But he forcibly held it in.
Unexpectedly, at this moment, Gu Qiaoqiao suddenly extended her finger, drawing in the air right in front of them.
Qin Yize clenched his hands tightly, eyes deep, and watched Gu Qiaoqiao’s finger without blinking; he noticed a faint glow seemingly flashing around her fingers.
And in the air, Gu Qiaoqiao drew a complex pattern, which was connected by light. But it all happened so fast, almost within a second, that the pattern gathered, forming a light point, which Gu Qiaoqiao caught and then reversed her hand to hit it against his body.
The light point then disappeared.
Faced with such a mysterious event, inexplicable by science, Qin Yize’s expression didn’t change, and he didn’t move at all.
However, the way he looked at Qiaoqiao seemed to carry a different kind of emotion.
Qiaoqiao was different with him now.
And what was that light point? It disappeared so fast, yet he didn’t feel anything strange in his body; in fact, the surrounding aura felt even more harmonious.
