Rebirth: I have Monopoly System

Chapter 384 - 352: Gambling City Las Vegas

  • Next Chapter

Wu Yun had actually been a bit torn between several of the large hotels in the city center.

The first was the MGM Hotel, part of the MGM Group, located at the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd. and Tropicana Ave. The hotel opened to the public at the end of 1993, making it a 25-year-old establishment. With its 6,852 rooms, it easily claimed the title of the world’s largest single hotel building, a record that remains unbroken to this day.

The MGM Hotel could definitely be called the liveliest hotel in Las Vegas. Besides ranking first in the world for its number of rooms, the hotel sees a daily foot traffic of nearly 70,000 people, more than the population of many small towns in the United States.

The second was the Bellagio. When thinking of the casino city of Las Vegas, many people’s first thought is of the Bellagio Hotel and the fountain at its entrance. For many, it represents romance and beauty. Whenever night falls, tourists gather in front of the fountain to watch the fountain show, which has become a landmark of Las Vegas.

Starting in 2000, it earned the AAA Five Diamond Award for fourteen consecutive years, making it a truly high-class, five-star casino hotel.

The Bellagio’s lobby is stunning and is lavishly redecorated every season. During the Huaxia New Year, the hotel once placed a giant zodiac animal statue in the lobby, attracting many people to come take photos for their social media.

The Bellagio and the MGM Hotel both belong to the MGM Group.

The third was the Paris Hotel. The Paris Hotel’s distinctive feature is its replicas of numerous Parisian landmarks, including a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower.

However, compared to the first two, the Paris Hotel is a relatively smaller casino hotel—though "smaller" is only relative. Even so, the Paris Hotel still has nearly three thousand rooms.

The Paris Hotel and the Bellagio face each other from across the street. In many movies and TV shows, these two feature very prominently, and many of Las Vegas’s famous attractions come from them.

As for the fourth, the Caesar’s Palace Hotel, it is the most historic casino hotel in Las Vegas. Many of the world’s most famous boxing matches have been held here.

The last was the Venetian Hotel, a hotel complex connected to the Desert Convention Center. Built with a total investment of nearly 1.8 billion US dollars, it was considered the world’s largest investment in a hotel with a casino and comprehensive entertainment facilities.

The reason Wu Yun chose this place was not only because it had a 11,000-square-meter casino, once hailed as the world’s largest (of course, that was a title it held before the Macau Venetian Hotel opened).

The second reason was that it had fewer entertainment activities, making it very suitable for a relaxing vacation.

If Wu Yun had come with Qi Fei or one of the other women, he would have chosen one of the other hotels. But this time, he just wanted to play some cards in peace. If he wanted to eat all kinds of food or visit the various sights, he could just drive out.

Although they weren’t staying at the other hotels, Wu Yun still had Hawkeye drive them around for a tour of these famous Las Vegas hotels.

Wu Yun also took some photos along the way.

While driving, Hawkeye glanced at the eclectic architecture along the road out of the corner of his eye and said, "After living in the United States for so many years, this is my first time in Las Vegas!"

"The salary I used to make would only be enough to tour the sights! I couldn’t even afford a room like the boss’s!"

That was right. Wu Yun had booked one of the Venetian’s most luxurious suites, at a price of ten thousand dollars a night.

It was Wu Yun’s first time staying in such an expensive hotel, and he wondered what kind of tricks a suite like this had up its sleeve.

Seeing the excited looks on everyone’s faces, including Wei Wu’s, Wu Yun couldn’t help but smile. "Since we’re out here to have fun, let’s have some fun! I’m giving you all ten thousand USD each for spending money. When you’re on your breaks, I don’t care if you’re gambling at the casino or going out shopping."

"Nice! Boss, I freaking love you!" Hawkeye gripped the steering wheel excitedly. After checking the road ahead, he grabbed the walkie-talkie. "Guys! The boss is giving out bonuses! Ten thousand dollars of walking-around money for everyone! Over!"

The moment Hawkeye let go of the transmit button, a cacophony of whoops and hollers erupted from the walkie-talkie. Finally, Da Xiong’s voice came through: "Thanks, Boss! I—I—I... I won’t fight back next time in training! Over!"

Hearing this, Wu Yun was struck speechless for a moment before bursting into laughter. He never thought the usually stoic Da Xiong had such a side to him.

So Wu Yun held out his hand. "Wei Wu, give me the walkie-talkie."

Taking the device, Wu Yun pressed the transmit button. "Tonight is free time. Once you get to the hotel, sort out your duties."

"Oh, right! The red-light districts in Las Vegas are quite famous. Make sure you guys keep your little brothers safe!"

They were all adults. Aside from Wei Wu, Poison Thorn, and Caviar, who were married with children, the rest were all single guys.

A round of knowing smiles instantly broke out among the men.

"Right! I don’t care where you go to have fun, but you’d better go in teams. That way you can call for backup if anything happens! All right! That’s all!"

A moment later, the laughter of the three men in the car behind them came through Wu Yun’s walkie-talkie. Da Xiong said, "Yes, sir, Boss!"

The unique features of the Venetian Hotel were truly a sight to behold.

Through the car window, Wu Yun watched the crystal-clear man-made river, dotted with small, distinctive Venetian gondolas. Most were occupied by couples, a man and a woman.

’Quite romantic,’ Wu Yun thought. Then he glanced at the rough-looking brutes beside him and immediately dismissed the idea.

After pulling up to the hotel’s main entrance, two doormen, seeing the two off-road vehicles covered in dust and grit, perceptively pushed two luggage carts over.

Before they even reached the car, the doormen were secretly pleased. They saw three burly men get out and surround an Asian man emerging from the back of the G-Wagen, and they knew a big client had arrived.

One of the doormen smiled and said, "Good day, sir! Welcome to the Venetian Las Vegas. Here are the luggage carts! Do you have any bags?"

After Wu Yun nodded at Da Xiong and the others, Wei Wu remained by his side while the rest went to open the trunk of the G-Wagen and the rear compartment of the pickup.

The two doormen pushed their carts to the vehicles and helped place the suitcases on them. Then, one of them reached for a long, black-wrapped package.

"Hey! Pal, we’ll get that one ourselves!" Da Xiong stopped the doorman.

The doorman nodded in understanding. After all, when rich people traveled with bodyguards, these black bags might contain valuables like cash. It saved them the trouble anyway.

The doorman who had spoken earlier then said to Hawkeye and Poison Thorn, "Gentlemen, the parking garage is straight ahead, then follow the signs and turn right."

Once the cars had driven off, the doorman turned back to Wu Yun. "Sir, please follow me! I’ll take you to the front desk."

Upon entering the lobby, Wu Yun felt like he was walking through a palace corridor. Gilded decorations were everywhere. Looking up, he saw an arched dome five or six meters high, with paintings adorning it every few meters.

Wu Yun didn’t know the specific meaning of the paintings, but he could tell the decorations were incredibly luxurious.

Following the two doormen and listening to the sound of the cart wheels rolling across the smooth floor, Wu Yun chuckled and said in Huaxian, "It seems these Italians are good at everything except fighting wars!"

Hearing this, the men all broke into smiles.

Indeed, Italy’s luxury goods, supercars, and art were world-famous. Of course, the combat record of its modern military was also well-known.

"Boss! You can’t put it that way! I’ve met some individual Italian soldiers who were pretty tough!" Caviar recalled an Italian who had been active with a certain military contractor. He was a genuinely skilled operator.

HAHAHAHAHA—The group burst out laughing, attracting the attention of nearby tourists.

However, upon seeing Wu Yun’s large group, some of whom looked like they weren’t to be trifled with, they quickly looked away.

After tipping the doormen and sending them on their way, Wu Yun and his group sat in the waiting area for Wang Hao to finish the check-in, also waiting for Hawkeye and Poison Thorn to arrive.

The suite Wu Yun booked was called the Siyalai Suite. It had a total area of 350 square meters. As per Wu Yun’s request, the hotel had provided a suite suitable for business travel with three bedrooms.

Two of the rooms were standard doubles, able to accommodate four people. Because of this, Wang Hao and the five bodyguards had to draw lots. The two "unlucky" ones who had to stay separately were Da Xiong and Poison Thorn.

But though they were called "unlucky," Wu Yun generously booked a separate deluxe double room for the two of them.
