Li Yunqiang suddenly felt much older. His son left just like that. How could he not be worried?

Yue Lanfeng has been very cautious these few days. She also kept her son behaving well and staying put, now Li Yunqiang is like a firecracker, ready to go off at the slightest spark, better to stay out of his way.

Two more days passed. The truck from the Capital arrived. Han Xiangjun bought it himself, as hiring a truck was always too costly. So he simply got someone to prepare it himself.

He found another truck from the transport team, with one and a half trucks in total, and the remaining space was filled with raw materials. There was also space for a hundred bottles of sorghum liquor.

Li Yungui held Lv Beiguang’s hand, “Stay safe, my friend.”

Lv Beiguang patted Li Yungui on the shoulder. “Take care, my friend.”

Li Yungui watched them leave, holding the key to his niece’s house. His heart was filled with complex emotions.

As for Lv Beiguang, it took them over ten days to reach the Capital. The road is much smoother now, unlike before, when it used to take almost a month.

Jiang Xinyu smiled when she saw the two of them get off the truck.

“You haven’t changed at all, it seems Xiuxiu has taken good care of you.”

Lv Beiguang laughed, “You have changed, you have become the formidable Vice Factory Director Jiang again.”

“That’s what makes me happy. I’ll find someone to take you to Jing Chu’s house, there are people there to take care of you.”

“Okay.”

“Come to my house for dinner tonight, I’ll go back early to prepare.”

“Okay, and put the raw materials aside for me, we’ll stay here a few more days and turn these materials into liquor.”

Of course, Jiang Xinyu had no objections. She smiled as she found Xiao Hai to send the couple back.

A lot has been expanded here, and there are separate warehouses, so everything was unloaded there.

Finally, Jiang Xinyu let the driver from the transport team rest in the guest room at the factory for a day before leaving, as it was quite a tiring job.

Lv Beiguang arrived at his daughter’s home and learned that Yixin and the others were having lunch here, so he stayed at his daughter’s house.

The older generation believes a married daughter belongs to another family. Since there is a son, how could they stay at their daughter’s place?

The nanny prepared lunch, and five children came back.

Seeing the energetic five children, Lv Beiguang felt gratified.

Yixin and the others were thrilled to see their parents, and Ruoyan held Xiuxiu’s hand, as she really missed her mother.

Lv Beiguang called Chenxi and Jingchen over, the eldest grandson is already nine years old, tall and slender, looking particularly likable.

“Grandpa, are you planning to live here with Grandma Yang?”

“Yes, grandpa. Come over and live with us. My parents and uncle and aunt are all very busy.” Just five-year-old Chenxi now started first grade; although he was not old enough, no one could pick him up if he attended Red Education Class. So he had to start first grade along with Yixin.

“Grandpa and Grandma Yang are going to the South, just staying here for a few days to spend time with you.”

The children all seemed disappointed upon hearing this news.

Jingchen is already a fourth-grade student, older than the other four, and more mature.

“Grandpa, Grandma Yang, are you going to the South for distilling liquor?”

“Yes, your Grandpa Han has already built a factory over there, and we’re heading there from here.”

Yang Xiuxiu came over to call them for lunch, and the children still needed to rest a bit after the meal.

The nanny’s cooking skills were alright. The family’s meals were just average, mainly because all four of them were students. Although they didn’t have to spend money, they didn’t earn money either, so they couldn’t afford to be as lavish as before.

Lv Beiguang frowned slightly at this kind of meal, but didn’t say anything.

Lunch was just fried sauce noodles. The children ate eagerly, which seemed to be a rare dish for them.

After finishing the meal, the children helped tidy up, and instead of resting, they gathered around the couple.

“I’ll take you to school later.”

The children’s faces lit up with smiles.

Yang Xiuxiu hadn’t seen the children for over half a year. Seeing the three children clinging to her now, she felt a tinge of regret, wondering whether she should take them all away, and bring them back when they grow up?

When it was time for school, Lv Beiguang and Yang Xiuxiu followed the three children along.

Reaching the school gate, Yang Xiuxiu was even more determined to leave the children behind, realizing that this place couldn’t be compared with their hometown.

Watching the five children enter the school, “Xiuxiu, let’s go buy some food tickets.”

Yang Xiuxiu also knew, “Let’s leave them more money before we leave.”

The couple had already earned a considerable amount from the commission on the liquor, so of course, they needed to leave more for the children.

“I’ll go out and look around in the next few days. If possible, I’ll buy some shops, one shop for each of the five children. Keeping money isn’t very useful, and besides, I have a lot of nice things that can be equally divided among the five children in the future.”

Lv Beiguang looked at Yang Xiuxiu with a complicated expression. It wasn’t for her things or money, but for the way she did things, which made him very comfortable.

“Guodong and Jing Chu won’t take them.”

“Even if they don’t want them, I’ll give them. The shops are our money; my things are not. Don’t worry about it.”

The two went to the grain station, but came back out because they didn’t have food tickets.

“It’s fine, I’ll ask Xinyu to prepare it.”

The couple didn’t go out in the afternoon, instead they stayed home to wash up and rest. After all, Lv Beiguang wasn’t young anymore.

In the evening, the five children came back early. They didn’t need to be told and did their own homework. The smaller ones with questions would wait for the bigger ones to finish and then ask.

Lv Beiguang and Xiuxiu watched from the side, very satisfied with the children’s interactions.

Yiqing and Ruoyan were in second grade, not in the same class. Yixin and Chenxi were both in first grade; looking at their handwriting, Lv Beiguang was very pleased. It seemed Guodong and the others had certain expectations for the children’s handwriting.

The evening meal was just buns and porridge. The children weren’t bothered by it.

Lv Beiguang now had money in hand but couldn’t stand seeing the children suffer.

The four of them also needed to eat at home, so the children waited for them together.

Chaoyang and Jing Chu were the first to return. Seeing Lv Beiguang and the others here, Jing Chu was overjoyed.

“Dad, Aunt Yang, you must stay a while longer.”

The children didn’t know they were going to the South, but the four adults did.

“Yes, we’ll stay a while and wait here for your Uncle Han to come back.” Lv Beiguang held his daughter’s hand, feeling happiness from seeing her in such good spirits.

Chaoyang was smiling and chatting with Yang Xiuxiu.

“When will your elder brother and sister-in-law be home?”

“Soon. It won’t be long now.” Chaoyang replied, as they were accustomed to rushing home after school because there were five children at home.
