Chapter 1567: Reunion

Lv Beiguang also nodded; he was listening to the children’s opinions. Now Jing Chen and Chenxi were both happy. They had really been together since childhood, and if their little uncle, aunt, or other relatives left, they would be very reluctant.

So they’ve discussed and decided on the arrangements for the three children.

Guodong and Jing Chu had no objections; their wish was for their younger siblings to stay, as they had been taking care of them since they were young.

Aunt Yang valued Dad more than the three children, so they felt at ease about this.

They were just worried Dad might miss the children, so they hadn’t spoken up.

“Dad, did you bring a lot of materials? Tomorrow is Friday, and we have the afternoon and Sunday off. Can we finish everything?”

Yang Xiuqin nodded, “Pretty much, tomorrow morning your dad and I will go over there to prepare first.”

Lv Beiguang shook his head with a smile, “No rush. We can’t leave until Old Han comes back.”

“Dad, my brother wants you to stay in the hometown for a few more days.”

Lv Beiguang still shook his head, “What’s there to stay for? We still have to tidy up the house. Forget it, we’ll just stay for a day or two and then come back. Just to meet your uncle and aunt, and there’s nothing much else to do.”

Since Dad had made up his mind, they, of course, had no objections.

In the evening, Lv Beiguang and his wife, along with their two sons, went to Guodong’s place, as Ruoyan lived alone in Chaoyang.

The next day, after breakfast, everyone went to school. Lv Beiguang and his spouse went to the factory.

Jiang Xinyu had been waiting for them. The three of them spent the morning chatting, talking about the situation in the Li Family Village, and, of course, mentioning Shuxin’s matters.

Jiang Xinyu didn’t say much. This was his initial choice, and now he had to bear the consequences of that choice.

“So, are you really not taking the kids back?”

Yang Xiuqin nodded with a smile, “Yes, they want to stay here too, which is great; the two of us can live at the winery directly.”

“It’s tough on you guys.”

Both of them laughed, “Looking at the money in hand makes it feel not so tough.”

Then all three of them laughed.

“Come to my house for dinner tonight. I’ve already arranged everything. Besides, Shi Xian heard you guys were coming and didn’t even want to go to school today.”

Lv Beiguang liked Shi Xian the most. They had a particularly good relationship. Hearing Jiang Xinyu’s words, he was also quite excited.

“Alright, arrange for a bricklayer in the morning. In the afternoon, let’s set up the steamer. Tomorrow afternoon, Guodong and Chaoyang will come over to help. I’m thinking of brewing, and then going back to the hometown to have a look. Xinyu, are you going back? I want to take Xiuqin to meet some friends.”

Jiang Xinyu was quite tempted. However, he also knew Wei Kaiyun definitely wouldn’t let him go back alone. He didn’t have time now.

So he could only shake his head. “I’m not going. You guys go ahead. I’m quite busy here now; Han Xiangjun is not around, and Old Yang and Wei Kaiyun are both working, so they don’t have time.”

Lv Beiguang nodded. Xinyu indeed couldn’t leave now.

At noon, the three of them had lunch in the cafeteria. Lv Beiguang and his wife didn’t rest and told the bricklayer how to set up the stove, which was their afternoon job.

Near the end of the workday, they finally finished setting up, allowing them to steam the grains.

“Xinyu, you can go home. We’ll go pick up the kids.”

They returned home. The babysitter had already prepared dinner, but they wouldn’t eat at home tonight.

The kids were quite happy knowing they were going to have dinner at the Wei Family. They spent much time at the Wei Family growing up, but now because everyone is busy and they live far apart, they only go on weekends.

“Grandpa, can we go over first and give my parents, uncle, and aunt a heads-up?”

Lv Beiguang laughed, “How about your homework? Isn’t it good to do your homework while waiting for your parents?”

Jing Chen nodded, urging the four of them to do their homework.

Yang Xiuqin went to take a shower, having sweated throughout the day.

Lv Beiguang sat in the living room, with a smile all over his face. He hadn’t expected to have such days? He used to think accompanying just the two kids for life was enough, but now he had three more children and a wife.

Today with Xinyu, all was emotional. He once thought only Jiang Xinyu was in his heart, but it turned out his heart was all for his wife now.

Today, Guodong and the others came back together. Upon hearing they were going to the Wei Family, everyone quickly freshened up. The whole family walked over together.

Jiang Xinyu had already informed his family yesterday that Lv Beiguang’s family would be coming for dinner tonight, so they had prepared in advance, and the kids had come back right after school.

Wei Kaiyun clocked off work on time today, with work deferred to tomorrow. Old Yang and the couples had also arrived.

This time, three tables were set up directly. Yang Run Tai felt he had come at the right time today.

He was now openly following Feifei around.

Wei Kaiyun wouldn’t even look at him now, or he’d be tempted to take action again.

Feifei treated him as she used to, but Yang Run Tai had adapted remarkably quickly to his role.

When Jiang Xinyu returned, he brought back plenty of fresh prawns, which were made into boiled prawns at home, filling a large basin on one of the tables, ready to be eaten.

Wei Kaiyun took out the wine brought back, which was brewed by Lv Beiguang and the first batch reserved for themselves.

It wasn’t based on Yang Xiuqin’s recipe but was from Feifei’s recipe, with rather unique ingredients, making it extremely precious. Generally, a bottle of this wine could be exchanged for ten bottles of the one from Yang Xiuqin’s recipe.

The kids got juice and milk. Of course, each got a soda bottle. Today the family let loose; normally, Jiang Xinyu wouldn’t allow the kids to drink soda.

Today’s dishes were also abundant, with Jiang Xinyu going shopping in the morning.

Ah Bao was clinging to Feifei because his dad said Feifei was about to be taken by someone else, so Ah Bao stayed close to her, claiming to protect his sister.

Jianbin had become much quieter now, not knowing why. He was no longer as talkative and cheerful as before.

Yang Run Tai paid no mind to them, sticking close to Feifei all the time.

Finally, the Lv Family arrived. “Brother Guodong, we’ve been waiting for you for quite a while.”

“Sorry, Er Bao, we’re running late.”

Wei Kaiyun and Old Yang greeted Lv Beiguang to sit down.

The children had their own table. They were the happiest, as they usually only met once a week, but now they got to meet twice in one week. The women had another table, with Zhao Xiaoli and Yang Xiuqin having a lively chat.

“Xinyu, keep an eye on the store, and help me buy five more. We’ll pool the money from our commission, and if it’s not enough, I’ll bring the money back with the wine.”

“Alright, no problem,” Jiang Xinyu said with a smile, knowing this was Yang Xiuqin preparing for Lv Beiguang’s five children. Truly a good woman.
