Chapter 832: Chapter 830: Still Not Out of Character

The premiere invited well-known film critics in the industry, writers, media reporters, and a few fans, filling the screening room to capacity.

Amidst everyone’s anticipation, Tong Yan and Bo Yimo arrived together, wearing matching outfits — a white long dress and a white suit, looking perfectly complementary.

Next came the long-unseen Chu Bei and Director Luo.

The premiere was very simple, consisting of discussing some problems and hopes for the film, followed by everyone taking their seats to watch the movie together.

These matters were actually already done during the promotional event earlier, without any new tricks, so it ended very briefly.

The process isn’t important; what’s important is the evaluation of the film by those invited after the premiere, which will greatly help the box office.

After the premiere ended, Tong Yan was about to leave, but was called out by Chu Bei, “Yanyan.”

Everyone’s footsteps instantly stopped, gossip ears perked up.

This seemed like the beginning of something interesting.

“As the host, shouldn’t you treat your lover to a meal?”

Chu Bei and Tong Yan played a couple in the film.

Tong Yan frowned; every time she saw him, she felt something unpleasant would happen. “I’m not from Beijing, unfamiliar with the area. How about letting Yimo take you? He’s very familiar with Beijing.”

Bo Yimo: “Busy.”

Tong Yan: …

Just one word, truly rejecting cleanly and smoothly.

The scene became awkward.

The crowd sensed the turbulent undercurrents.

Could the rumors be true that the creators don’t get along?

Everyone’s eyes darted back and forth between the few people.

Chu Bei put his hands together like holding a beauty, looking sad, “Yanyan, saying that makes me sad. Didn’t we just vow eternal love?”

Tong Yan glanced at him, speaking coolly, “The film’s over long ago, and you’re still not out of character, Mr. Chu. Where’s your professionalism as an actor?”

Chu Bei chuckled lightly, squinting his eyes, “With Yanyan around, I don’t want to get out of character.”

Such shamelessness!

However ambiguous things got, he would speak accordingly!

Bo Yimo walked up to him, directly punched him, swept a leg, knocking Chu Bei down, then stood over him casually saying, “Sorry, I’m not out of character either.”

Everyone’s expressions were like this: ╮(╯▽╰)╭

If you want revenge, just say so!

Using the excuse of being in character doesn’t seem quite right, hey!

Additionally, if they didn’t misunderstand, shouldn’t you two have played brothers in the film? Why are you fighting!

Are you messing with us!

Clearly knowing it’s wrong, yet unsure how to refute, everyone’s mood became somewhat mixed.

The key is: they are justified!

Chu Bei declared beforehand that he wasn’t out of character, Young Master Mo also not being out of character is perfectly normal.

If Chu Bei said he was out of character, and was just joking, Young Master Mo teasing his wife, too, is completely justified!

So, um, Young Master Mo is entirely faultless.

They watched wide-eyed as Bo Yimo embraced Tong Yan and walked out of the screening room.

“Mr. Chu, are you all right?” The organizer approached.

Chu Bei shook his head, smiling, “Fine.”

He slowly got up, took out a cigarette with his left hand, lit it, took a puff, amidst the swirling smoke, his handsome face seemed near yet far, then extinguished it, and smiled mischievously.

The organizer casually asked, “Mr. Chu, are you a lefty?”
