Chapter 1668: Chapter 945: Forced Matchmaking (Part 3)

"You’re Wen Su’s family?"

Just as Yao Juanjuan finished speaking, a girl walking toward them stopped in front of the group.

Luo Ye looked her over. She was about one sixty-five, knee-high boots, black stockings, black shorts, black leather jacket. Her skin tone was unclear—covered in makeup, and a thick layer at that. Her brows and eyes were very delicate—though of course that could also just be makeup.

Seeing everyone sizing her up, the girl’s expression grew even more composed as she asked, "Excuse me, which one of you is Wen Su’s younger sister?" When her gaze fell on Luo Ye, there was a faint ripple in her eyes.

"That’s me." Luo Ye’s lips curled in a smile. "What do you want with me?"

"Sis, you’re really beautiful. You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen." The woman stepped forward, trying to grab Luo Ye’s wrist, but Luo Ye dodged. She didn’t seem embarrassed, just kept smiling. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Wang Dongying, I’m Wen Su’s classmate."

Ye nodded: "Mm, and so what?"

Clearly not expecting Luo Ye to respond like that, Yao Meiyin froze for a moment, then quickly plastered on a smile. "Your brother told me he has a super pretty little sister, so I really wanted to meet you.

But I’ve told him so many times, and he always says his sister is busy, no time, so it kept getting put off. Now that I finally ran into you, of course I can’t miss the chance.

In the future, even if we don’t meet often, there’s a chance we might become family, you know? But sis, don’t tell your brother that we’ve already met. We’ll give him a surprise when the time comes, okay?"

There’s no "strongest," only "even stronger"!

Luo Ye finally felt she’d seen it all. Compared to this classmate Yao Meiyin, Jiang Yang and Bai Yan really had to bow down.

"Become family with you?" Luo Ye’s lips twisted into a mocking smile. "I think your brain’s flooded, isn’t it?"

"Sis, why are you talking like that?" Yao Meiyin patted her own head. "I just knew your brother’s always so muddleheaded.

Did he not tell you I’m currently dating him? If nothing unexpected happens, he should be coming to my house to visit my parents this New Year. And of course, I’ll be staying at your place for New Year too. Sis, now you get it, right?"

One look at her eyes and Luo Ye knew Lu Qingqing must have come downstairs; these words were obviously meant for Lu Qingqing as well.

"Miss Wang, your ability to daydream is really something. Of course I know my brother has a girlfriend, but her last name isn’t Wang.

Oh, right, my brother did mention that someone’s trying to sabotage his relationship with my sister-in-law, but he didn’t say what that person’s name was. I’m guessing that would be you?"

"Sis, looks like you don’t quite approve of me yet. That’s fine, we’ve got a long future ahead. I believe you’ll grow to like me." Yao Meiyin smiled and took a couple of steps forward. "Are these your classmates or your friends, sis?"

Xing Nong let out a long breath. "Luoluo, I want to say something!" On the way over, they’d agreed that Luo Ye would handle things and the rest of them shouldn’t butt in, in case they just made it messier.

Ye nodded: "Go ahead."

"Big sis over there, how should I address you? Oh, right, how old are you?"

Yao Meiyin smiled without changing expression. "Twenty-three."

"Twenty-three, huh? But with that ghostly makeup, I thought you were thirty-two. Whatever, if you look older, you look older. But you, dressing like this in the dead of winter—do you look like a decent woman?

If you stand like that at the entrance of a restaurant, guarantee a bunch of people will mistake you for, you know, that kind of profession. You... sigh, just from your outfit I can tell—anyone who can dress herself up like this ghost probably doesn’t care what other people say. ..."

Yao Meiyin cut Xing Nong off. "Does belittling me make you feel good? Don’t tell me you like Brother Su too?" As she spoke she looked at Luo Ye. "Did I guess right?"

"Now I get why my sister-in-law misunderstood. Up against someone like you, she doesn’t stand a chance." Luo Ye said, then turned around and grabbed the stiff-faced Lu Qingqing who’d been standing there. "Sis-in-law, you’re actually jealous of this woman?"

"I..." Lu Qingqing’s lips trembled; she didn’t know what to say. She did, in fact, have extreme doubts—but her doubts weren’t that Wen Su had fallen for Yao Meiyin.

It was that everyone at school knew Yao Meiyin was notoriously easy, and that Wen Su had gone on a walk with her that day, or maybe... had even been taken advantage of by her.

That was something she absolutely, absolutely could not accept.

Yes, she’d already been insecure from the start, thinking she wasn’t good enough for Wen Su, so even after they really got together, she was still constantly anxious and afraid.

After Yao Meiyin jumped out this time, her lack of confidence shot to the extreme. She wanted to trust Wen Su, but just couldn’t convince herself.
