"Mr. Jin, I’ll remember what you said. I’ll be careful." Ah Li replied with a smile. Seeing that she listened to his words, Jin Hao said no more.

After sitting for a while longer, he left. However, before leaving, he said to Ah Li, "Ah Li, I’ll come over tonight. Save some dishes for me, make sure they don’t eat them all. I also want to see how skilled Jiang Xue is, that the Chinese would come to eat her cooking."

"Alright, I’ll remember." Ah Li nodded and agreed, then saw Jin Hao out of the restaurant. After Jin Hao left, Ah Li went to the kitchen. As she entered the kitchen, she saw Jiang Xue not cooking but resting in a corner, and couldn’t help but laugh.

"Oh, Jiang Xue, caught you being lazy here. I really thought you’d start cooking so soon."

"Haha, I saw you and Jin Hao chatting happily, so I didn’t want to be a third wheel." Jiang Xue teased, only to earn a playful punch from Ah Li.

Ah Li lightly punched Jiang Xue a few times, then said, "You heartless thing, I was doing it for you. And here you are, not only ungrateful but also teasing me. See if I don’t hit you."

After the two of them laughed and joked for a while, Ah Li sat down on a bench and said to Jiang Xue, "Jiang Xue, just now Jin Hao was trying to stir things up and make us fall out."

"Oh, what did he say?"

Ah Li recounted Jin Hao’s words to Jiang Xue. After hearing it, Jiang Xue began to ponder. She was getting more and more confused about what Jin Hao’s real intentions were.

In the past, it was he who brought her to Ah Li, making her acquaintance. Wasn’t he trying to get them to become friends?

But if that was the goal, then what was the meaning of his actions now?

Just like in the morning, Ah Li stayed by her side, helping out here and there. Time passed by slowly, and the preparations for the eight tables of the banquet were almost done.

By then, it was already four-thirty in the afternoon. Some early-off Chinese had already started coming into the shop.

Seeing people arrive, Ah Li didn’t stay in the kitchen. She went out to welcome them. Huo Cong and the original staff of Ah Li’s shop went outside, directing the parking as cars approached.

By five o’clock in the afternoon, most of the guests had arrived. Even Mr. Huang came early. Upon his arrival, he smiled and asked Ah Li, "Ah Li, are the dishes ready?"

"Mr. Huang, everything is almost ready. Once everyone is here, we’ll start."

"As long as things are ready. Soon enough, everyone will be here. You should get ready too, we’ll probably start serving soon."
