Chapter Fifty-Six Reunion

As soon as Lin Na entered the lounge, she turned and stared at Sheng Jiaoyang, who had just closed the door.

"Say it, what do you want to say to me?" Lin Na asked calmly.

Seeing Lin Na like this, Sheng Jiaoyang wasn't in a hurry to reveal her identity. She said in a Wang Wei-esque exaggerated tone, "Lina, I like you so much, I'm your die-hard fan."

"Then take off your clothes!" Lin Na's expression remained unmoved.

"..."

"Didn't you want my autograph? You were the one who said you'd sign it on your body, weren't you?" Lin Na's eyes held a faint hint of mockery.

It seemed she'd gone too far...

Sheng Jiaoyang smiled, and just as Lin Na's face turned cold and she was about to explode, she suddenly called out to her, "Pretty girl."

Lin Na's whole body stiffened, and she frowned as she looked at the unfamiliar girl in front of her.

“Surprised? You must be wondering how I know your nickname. Actually, I was surprised too. I was even more surprised than you when I woke up in the hospital that day and found myself in a strange environment, a complete stranger. Don’t speak, let me finish—”

Sheng Jiaoyang raised her hand to stop Lin Na from interrupting. “I know no one will believe me, no one will dare to believe me, but you are the closest person to me besides my grandfather. You have to believe me! My dear, I need your help. My grandfather’s health isn’t good to begin with, and I don’t want him to continue to bear the pressure and blow of losing a loved one.”

She looked directly at Lin Na, her tone very serious.

Lin Na’s eyes reddened, and she murmured in Italian, “Little Sun, is it really you?”

Sheng Jiaoyang slowly approached and replied softly, “It’s me.”

“My dear, I’m back!”

Lin Na’s eyes were filled with tears. “One year, we went to the Vatican. What did you say to me in St. Peter’s Square?”

“If only we were gay, then we wouldn’t have to worry about falling in love with someone else and becoming estranged.” Sheng Jiaoyang said softly.

Tears streamed down Lin Na's face. A slight smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

"What did you promise me at the airport six months ago?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I'd take care of myself."

"And did you take care of yourself?" Lin Na demanded, her emotions spiraling out of control.

Sheng Jiaoyang reached out and hugged Lin Na, gently patting her back, saying, "I'm sorry."

"You're not apologizing to me, you're apologizing to yourself, you bastard!" Lin Na raised her hand and punched Sheng Jiaoyang's back hard.

Ouch! Sheng Jiaoyang gritted his teeth, saying helplessly, "Pretty girl, be gentle. If you hurt my healthy body, you'll have to support me for the rest of my life."

"A lifetime it is! What? You think I'm not capable enough to support you?" Lin Na glared at her.

"No, that's not what I meant." Sheng Jiaoyang quickly denied it, then hurriedly flattered her, "You're amazing, beautiful girl. You could easily support ten of me."

Lin Na chuckled, her eyes still red and moist, her tearful yet amused appearance evoking pity. She suddenly took a step back, looking Sheng Jiaoyang's new body up and down, and said, "Little Sun, you've got what you wanted."

"What?"

"Your height!" Lin Na replied smoothly, "You used to be most worried about your height, but now it's all good, you're almost as tall as me."

Sheng Jiaoyang's lips twitched.

"Last month in the instruction class, when you called me, were you already trying to tell me the truth?" Lin Na suddenly remembered something.

"Yes." Sheng Jiaoyang didn't deny it, because it was the truth.

Lin Na regretted that if she had stayed a little longer, she wouldn't have found out until now.

Seeing through her thoughts immediately, Sheng Jiaoyang comforted her, "It's not too late to know now. By the way, what happened to your mother that time? How is she now?"

Lin Na was about to speak when a knock came at the door. She could only briefly tell Sheng Jiaoyang that her mother was fine now.

"Who is it?"

"Lina, Mr. Zhuo said he needs to see Xu Jiaojiao." The assistant's voice came from outside the door.

"I know, tell him to wait a moment."

After replying to the assistant, Lin Na winked at Sheng Jiaoyang and teased, "You seem to have a lot of luck with women wherever you go!"

"What luck with women? I don't have that." Sheng Jiaoyang chuckled.

"Tch! If you didn't have luck with women, why would that Lin Yu have taken the initiative to pursue you?"

"I haven't even asked you yet, what happened between you and George?"

Lin Na's expression stiffened. She turned her face away, subconsciously not wanting to bring it up.

“Don’t blame me for rubbing salt in your wounds, but how am I supposed to know what happened between you two if you don’t tell me? Or do you have a secret now?”

Lin Na closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and said, “He was the one who said he wanted to break up first.”

“Why?” In Sheng Jiaoyang’s mind, George was a jealous man. If she spent a little more time with the pretty girl, George would look at her with disdain.

“I don’t know.” Lin Na changed the subject. “Alright, Zhuo Yiyan is looking for you, so you should go quickly, lest he think I’m bullying you.”

“He’s just worried I’m bullying you.” Sheng Jiaoyang raised a finger and hooked Lin Na’s chin, chuckled, and turned to leave the lounge.

Lin Na couldn’t help but laugh. She turned her head and saw her smiling face in the full-length mirror, paused for a moment, and then her eyes crinkled into a smile.

"That's great, Little Sun is back."

She didn't mind or fear that Sheng Jiaoyang had become someone else. Her worst fears were over. Now, even if Sheng Jiaoyang became a cat or a dog, she would face it calmly. As long as her Little Sun was still there, she didn't care what form she took to live.

Knowing Sheng Jiaoyang was still there made Lin Na feel much more at ease. That empty feeling finally faded, and even breaking up with George didn't seem so unacceptable anymore.

"Oh, right, I need to contact Grandpa Yang." Lin Na suddenly remembered this; Little Sun had just asked her to comfort her grandfather.

While she was making the call, Sheng Jiaoyang, who had gone out, was called aside by Zhuo Yiyan.

"Xu Jiaojiao, what explanation do you have for what happened just now?" Zhuo Yiyan asked.

"What explanation do I need?" Sheng Jiaoyang tilted her head. "Isn't it normal for fans to be excited when they see their idols?"

Zhuo Yiyan choked for a moment. "I can see you're a very rational person."

A rational person would calmly and restrain themselves even when chasing a star. Is it normal to have an autograph signed on someone's body?

He vividly remembered Xu Jiaojiao's behavior these past few days. Although she could be quite annoying at times, she was mostly smart and adorable. But what just happened overturned his previous impressions and caught him completely off guard.

If anyone else was gnashing their teeth at this girl, it would definitely be Yu Jing. Despite

all the precautions, it was impossible to guard against her!

Xu Jiaojiao never played by the rules. If it weren't for her high popularity outside the show and orders from higher-ups to keep her around, Yu Jing would definitely have eliminated her in the next round to prevent her from causing trouble for the production team.

"Even the most rational person has a hobby, right?" Sheng Jiaoyang didn't buy Zhuo Yiyan's argument.

"Is that a hobby? It's more like an obsession!!"

Who was it that said Xu Jiaojiao was easy to manage? They keep causing trouble these days, and there are still several rounds of competition ahead. The semi-finals and finals are just around the corner. The production team has already prepared the format and arrangements. This guy really needs to stop causing trouble. Luckily, this time he encountered the seemingly cold but warm-hearted Lin Na. If it were someone else, wouldn't he have lost his temper on the spot?

"Lina herself agreed, so what's your problem?"

Zhuo Yiyan felt the veins on his forehead were about to pop out. He let out a sigh and said, "I just want to remind you not to be so reckless next time you meet other guests."

"Other guests aren't people I like. Even if they give me their autographs, I'm too lazy to accept them," Sheng Jiaoyang replied lazily.

"..."

Zhuo Yiyan waved helplessly, telling her to hurry back to the contestants.

Sheng Jiaoyang's lips curled up, and she walked away with light steps in a good mood.
