Rebirth of the Fashion Queen
Chapter Fifty-Three: A Day Trip
Taking environmental-themed photos isn't actually that difficult; anything related to environmental protection will do. However, taking truly outstanding photos is quite challenging.
Especially when you need a foreign partner, the difficulty increases significantly, primarily due to the language barrier. Without language, how can you understand each other's thoughts? Without communication, how can you capture harmonious and captivating photos?
Therefore, the judges weren't surprised by the numerous flawed photos; what surprised them was the two truly excellent ones—no, these weren't just "excellent," they were quite good. During
the judges' critique, the other five contestants were criticized relentlessly, with one particularly harsh judge sparing no effort in using his scathing language, indiscriminately attacking almost every contestant who came in for feedback.
When Wang Wei entered, the judges, who were discussing the importance of language, stopped.
"I heard that your photography partner was arranged by Xu Jiaojiao?"
Wang Wei nodded nervously, afraid the judges wouldn't approve of this arrangement.
"You must have saved Xu Jiaojiao in your past life; she really helped you a lot this time," the sarcastic judge said.
"The composition and concept of this photo are good. If I had to nitpick, it would be your expression. Your expression when you look back at the old lady picking up the bottle is too deliberately surprised; it's not natural enough."
Wang Wei nodded repeatedly.
"Overall, it's OK. Congratulations, Wang Wei, you're safe this round."
"Thank you, thank you!" Wang Wei was pleasantly surprised.
"You should thank the person who helped you communicate with your partner," Zhuo Yiyan said.
Wang Wei excitedly left the room, returned to the waiting room next door, rushed over and hugged Sheng Jiaoyang, planting a kiss on her cheek before she could react.
"I love you so much, Jiaojiao!" Wang Wei exclaimed excitedly.
Sheng Jiaoyang pushed her away with a look of disgust, got up, and went to the commentary room next door.
"Wang Wei, you not only saved Xu Jiaojiao in your past life, you saved the galaxy!" Someone who was already struggling to make it into the top 15 had actually advanced to the top 6 nationwide; it was impossible for the others not to be envious.
Watching the judges' sudden change on the screen and listening to their endless praise, the contestants who had been bombarded earlier felt truly bitter. Especially when the judges announced without a doubt that the best photo of this round belonged to Xu Jiaojiao, they all regretted not studying harder when they were younger. If they had studied foreign languages better, they wouldn't be completely outmatched now.
"Wang Wei, if Xu Jiaojiao had let you take this photo, you might have won the best photo award," Yin Meiling suddenly said.
Wang Wei glanced at Yin Meiling, finding her tone strange, but didn't think much of it and said, "I did take it, but I'm not good enough. I can't capture her feeling, so I changed partners."
"..." Yin Meiling, who had wanted to accuse Xu Jiaojiao of having ulterior motives, was speechless.
Everyone gave Wang Wei a complicated look. What did she do to deserve Xu Jiaojiao's unwavering support?
The best photo had been chosen, and it was time to announce the eliminations.
Xiao Yang had the immunity he won in the previous round, so he didn't have to worry about being eliminated this time, but the other four were anxious.
When Zhuo Yiyan came in with the photos, they all stared nervously at them.
"Xu Jiaojiao, Wang Wei, Luo Yi, Xiao Yang, Pu Mingyu..." Only one photo remained. Zhuo Yiyan's gaze swept back and forth between the remaining two contestants before holding out the photo, "Yin Meiling."
Chen Han immediately broke down in tears, and Xiao Yang turned around and hugged her, crying with her.
This pair of companions who had gone through so much together were finally going to part ways.
Given the heavy atmosphere among the contestants, the production team gave them another day off and returned their phones.
If she could, Sheng Jiaoyang really wanted to go to Paris to find Lin Na, but unfortunately, her passport and everything else were being kept by the production team.
This time, as soon as she saw Xu Jiaojiao preparing to go out again, the little tail immediately clung to her.
"Jiaojiao, where are you going to play? Take me with you!"
Yu Jing immediately sent a cameraman to follow, ostensibly to record the contestants' leisurely daily life, but really just to keep an eye on Xu Jiaojiao in case she did something that caught the production team off guard.
With Wang Wei and the cameraman in tow, Sheng Jiaoyang, carrying her little backpack, went out.
This time she didn't have any specific purpose; she simply wanted to take the naive Wang Xiaoniu out to broaden her horizons. They had been focused on the competition, and even when they arrived at scenic spots, they hadn't had the time to appreciate them. Today was Wang Wei's first real trip.
"Wow, I finally see the real Tower Bridge! Jiaojiao, quickly take some pictures of me!" As soon as they got out of the car, Wang Xiaoniu ran wildly towards the Tower Bridge.
Sheng Jiaoyang took out her phone to take pictures of Wang Wei.
The cameraman stood beside her, filming her.
The morning passed in this leisurely atmosphere, and the three of them found a restaurant to sit down.
"Brother, could you put the camera down for a bit, okay?" Wang Wei mumbled, looking at the cameraman who was still diligently working.
Seeing Wang Wei's bulging cheeks, Sheng Jiaoyang smiled and handed her a glass of water, telling her to swallow her food first to avoid choking.
"Brother Li, eat first. You need energy to work." Sheng Jiaoyang slightly raised his chin, gesturing towards the food in front of him, indicating that he should eat first.
That makes sense. Xiao Li thought for a moment, set up the camera, and started eating. His eyes lit up at the first bite. He glanced at the short-haired girl across from him, eating elegantly. This girl was amazing! She'd never been abroad, yet she knew exactly where the fun and delicious places were, like a human GPS, heading straight there without hesitation.
Wang Wei ate quickly, finishing her lunch in no time. She happily burped, then turned to see Jiao Jiao still eating slowly and deliberately, and suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
She'd noticed Jiao Jiao's refined eating habits before. This time, with her phone in hand, Wang Wei pretended to be playing on her phone, secretly lifting it, slightly tilting her body, and pointing the camera at Jiao Jiao, secretly filming a short clip. She posted it on her Weibo, along with the caption: "
Thank you to my goddess for taking me around London and treating me to a delicious meal. Love you, love you, love you!!!"
Just two minutes after posting, Wang Wei suddenly saw someone tag her. Clicking on it, her eyes widened in shock.
"Oh my god!"
The cameraman across from her, Xiao Li, was so startled his hand trembled, and the last bite of food he was about to eat fell onto the table. He stared at the uneaten bite with obvious frustration.
Sheng Jiaoyang, having grown accustomed to Wang Wei's eccentricities these past few days, wasn't bothered. She wiped her mouth, turned to Wang Wei, and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Jiaojiao, go check Weibo!" Wang Wei exclaimed excitedly.
Check what? "I don't have Weibo."
"Ah?! No wonder you didn't know!"
"What happened?" Sheng Jiaoyang raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Jiaojiao, Jiaojiao, you're famous!!!" Wang Wei said in an exaggerated tone.
People at the next table all looked at her.
"If you hadn't told me, I really would have become famous," Sheng Jiaoyang said calmly.
"Uh..." Wang Wei shrank her neck, then excitedly said, "Jiaojiao, you know Gu Nanshen!"
"No." Sheng Jiaoyang picked up his small backpack and got up to pay the bill.
"..." Wang Wei, who still had a lot of questions to ask, was dumbfounded.
