Rebirth of the Nephilim
Chapter 783: Wanting
For as much time as Jadis got to spend with her lovers on a daily basis, she still felt like she didn’t get enough date time with them. Sure, she shared most of her meals in partial or full communal company, and they were always working together on various projects, and of course there was the sex. Lots and lots of sex. But dates? No, those didn’t happen all that often. There was always something to do, always some pressing concern or schedule to keep. Even on the days where there wasn’t as much to do, Jadis usually ended up devoting her time to either self-improvement, or if she was really burnt out, sleep. All of that was to say, Jay was quite pleased to have a moment alone with just one of her loved ones, sharing a private meal, talking about things the way couples usually did, just like they were on a real date.
That Maeve was rubbing her foot against Jay’s crotch under the table was just an added bonus to the experience so far as she was concerned.
“Thirsty?” the grinning Fetch asked, both elbows on the table as she leaned her chin on her hands.
“Yes, but no alcohol,” Jay reminded Maeve as she adjusted her seat so that she was pulled a bit closer to the table. “Also, I want you to keep in mind that these tablecloths aren’t all that long.”
“Long enough,” Maeve said in a teasing tone before touching a small stone ring that held a candle in the middle of the table.
Jadis didn’t have her Succubus vision active so she couldn’t see for sure, but Maeve must have used some magic as the flame turned from the usual yellow to an unnatural red, the change in color affecting not just the candle but all the light surrounding the table. After a few moments, the flame went back to normal, and Maeve pulled her hand back from the candleholder.
“It signals to the bar that we want to order,” she explained before Jay could ask. “Wouldn’t want long-eared and wide-eyed servants showing up in the middle of a delicate conversation asking what you want to drink.”
“Makes sense,” Jay said as she rubbed her thighs together around Maeve’s adventurous foot. “But there’s no way the people who run this place aren’t listening in on every conversation with other means.”
“Naturally. If someone wants a truly private conversation, they don’t have it here. Or at the very least, they bring an enchanted device to cover things up.”
Before Maeve had quite finished saying the last word of her sentence, an attractive blue elf wearing a tasteful, yet sensual, dress arrived at their secluded table. She had long, black-blue hair that was tied back in a thick braid and her eyes shone with a bright golden color.
“What can I get for—oh!”
The server started, then stared at Jay with obvious surprise. For a moment, Jadis’ hearts beat fast at the thought that her and Maeve’s indecent foot play had just been caught. Not the end of the world, but certainly an embarrassing moment for everyone involved.
Well, Maeve probably wouldn’t be all that embarrassed.
“I’m sorry, Lady Ahlstrom,” the woman quickly regained her composure. “I wasn’t prepa—I mean, I did not expect to be waiting on a Nephilim this evening, especially not one who is…”
“It’s a spell,” Jay supplied for her when the elf trailed off. “I don’t attract as much attention when I’m shorter.”
“Of course,” the elf accepted with the grace of someone who wanted to ask questions but had been trained not to pry. “What can I get for the two of you?”
“Do you have a menu?” Maeve asked politely. “I’m feeling a little hungry. You wouldn’t mind sharing something light, right Jadis?”
“Of course n—not.”
Jay did her best to keep the easy smile on her face to cover for the hiccup in her speech. As soon as she had responded to Maeve’s question, the laces on her pants had been undone and something that was definitely not a foot had fished her cock out of her trousers. Jay couldn’t risk looking down to check, not when their waitress was standing right at the table handing Maeve a menu, but she was absolutely certain that some shapeshifter shenanigans had just occurred.
As Maeve slowly ran her finger down the paper menu, Jay used all of her willpower to keep up her casual demeanor as the limb caressing her shaft under the table reverted back to a foot and started tickling along her underside with dexterous toes.
“The brandade please,” Maeve ordered after a few deceptively long moments. “Oh, and the gougères as well. I will also have a white wine. Something imported, thank you.”
“Do you have anything non-alcoholic?” Jay asked pleasantly when the waitress turned to her.
“Yes,” the elf replied with a smile before listing off a variety of drink names that Jay had an extremely hard time paying attention to.
“She’ll have the citron pressé,” Maeve answered for Jay when she failed to respond in any way beyond a vacant stare.
“I’ll be right back with your orders,” the waitress flashed a bright white smile before quickly disappearing out of sight beyond the latticework partitions that divided their table from the others nearby.
“What, exactly, is your foot right now?” Jay asked with a catch in her throat as soon as the elf was out of earshot.
“Something slippery,” her teasing lover grinned at her. “Like it?”
“Mm, I do,” she admitted. “Just, go easy, okay? You’re making it hard—”
“Oh, I can feel that much.”
“—difficult to concentrate on our conversation.”
“That’s the idea, my love,” Maeve purred with unrestrained lust behind her dark eyes.
Clearing her throat, Jay tried not to focus on what the shapeshifter was doing under the table. She really, really, really liked what was happening below, but she also wanted to treat the occasion as an actual date, rather than as just an excuse for some public debauchery.
“So, you said the person who made this place was an information broker who wanted to make a safe place to discuss business,” Jay began with a topic that wasn’t too fuzzy in her head. “Who runs this place now?”
“Same broker,” Maeve replied, leaning back in her seat. “He’s been around a while.”
“Fetch?”
“Shockingly, no,” the orange woman shook her head. “Golem.”
“Didn’t think a golem would go for all this crime stuff,” Jay commented. “Especially not the, ah, theatrical parts of it.”
“Golems in general aren’t as morally upstanding as you might think. All Metethys really cares about is knowledge and information. And logic, I suppose. Sames goes for her little pebbles. If following the law carries them to that end, they will. If they need to break the law to get the information they’re looking for, they’ll do that, too. You’d be surprised how many Golems act as informants for spies. They’re usually happy to trade information. They aren’t gossips, though, so you have to come to them with something they find valuable if you expect to get anything useful out of them.”
Jay nodded along to Maeve’s words though she felt as though some of the details were slipping by. She was interested, truly, in her lover’s explanation, but a second foot had joined the first and the two were stroking her member in such a—
“Here you are,” the elf’s voice broke Jay out of her haze. “Your drinks. The brandade and gougères will be out in just a few minutes.”
“Thank you,” Jay replied with a smile that was perhaps a bit more expressive than she intended. “…very much.”
The waitress’ eyes widened a bit, her blue skin darkening a bit in a flush before she quickly bowed and left Jay and Maeve alone.
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she,” Maeve commented as she took a sip of her wine.
“She is,” Jay agreed.
“Great ass.”
“Of course you’d notice that,” Jay snorted in amusement.
“Naturally,” Maeve agreed. “It’s why I dated her.”
The table jumped slightly causing Jay’s lemony drink to spill over a few drips. For a moment, all thought of the hidden pleasures Maeve was subjecting her to left Jadis’ mind as she stared wide eyed at the Fetch.
“You—she’s an ex?”
“Don’t worry,” the shapeshifter laughed at what Jay assumed was an amusing expression on her face. “Lynn doesn’t recognize me. She knew me as an elf named Roswitha at the time.”
“When was this?” Jay asked with a slight frown. “That you dated her?”
“Maybe seventeen years ago,” Maeve shrugged. “Give or take a year. Why? Are you jealous?”
“Jealous?” Jay blinked at the casual accusation. “No, why would I be?”
Pausing for a moment, Jadis thought about the idea. She wasn’t a particularly jealous person, she didn’t think. Protective, yes. Committed was perhaps the better word. Territorial, even, at times. When she needed to be. But jealous? She literally had more than a dozen lovers and even had regular sex with a good friend. How could she be jealous?
Then Jadis gave the idea of Eir participating in an orgy at the temple with unknown priestesses a thought. Or Kerr sleeping around with strangers at bars. Or naive Sabina being romanced by some faceless smithing expert. Or—
“Okay, maybe I am,” Jay revised her stance. “You’re mine, Maeve. I don’t like the idea of someone I don’t know being with you in that way.”
A visible shiver traveled across the Fetch as her lustful gaze grew in intensity. Suddenly, whatever parts of Maeve were playing with Jay’s cock weren’t her feet anymore and Jay was forced to grit her teeth to stop herself from moaning. The sensation of the slippery, sliding, undulating, sucking… thing was far more intense than she was prepared for. Jay’s toes curled as her stomach lurched, all control nearly escaping her.
Then, a moment later, all Jay could feel was the slow, subtle, nearly ghostly feeling of Maeve’s right foot sliding up and down the side of her shaft.
“That was mean,” Jay murmured.
“Say that again.”
“What? That you’re mean?”
“You know exactly what I want you to say,” Maeve’s tone was low, her eyes unblinking.
Smiling, Jay leaned forward, her own gaze piercing.
“You’re mine, Maeve. Mine.”
The shudder that went through the Fetch was almost as erotic as the expression on her face as Maeve leaned further back in her chair, practically melting.
“I’m going to fuck you so hard when we get home,” Maeve promised with deep sincerity.
Before she could reply, Jay noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. Sitting up a little straighter, she reached under the table and poked her lover’s leg, trying to get her to sit up as well. Maeve ignored her, a shit-eating grin spread wide across her lips as she continued to slouch provocatively, eyes locked onto Jay.
“Here you are,” the waitress, Lynn, said as she placed to plates onto the table, making no visible reaction to Maeve’s pour posture. “If you need anything else, please turn the light red and I’ll be right with you.”
“Thank you,” Jay managed to say in a completely normal tone as Maeve abruptly began rubbing against her under the table in an almost desperate way. “This… smells delicious.”
“Enjoy,” Lynn bowed slightly, her eyes lingering on Jay in a way that would have been appealing under almost any other circumstances.
“She wants you,” Maeve stated, barely waiting more than a few seconds after the elf departed. “She’d probably let you take her in the back and fuck that beautiful ass of hers if you asked. They’ve got special rooms for that here, you know. Special… holes in certain walls, if you want a thrill of mystery.”
“I don’t want her,” Jay replied softly, her focus centered on the orange temptress. “I want what’s mine.”
“I do, too,” Maeve nearly moaned. “I want. What’s. Mine.”
Each word was punctuated by a change in texture, a change in pace, a change in agonizing pleasure as Maeve worked her shapeshifting abilities on Jay’s cock under the table. For a moment, the world narrowed down onto nothing but the dark, lustful emotion dancing in her lover’s eyes as her tension rose to a breaking point.
“But I can wait until after we finish our meal.”
Abruptly, Jay’s steel hard shaft was shoved back inside of her pants, her dripping cockhead turning the leg material wet as her laces were pulled tightly back into order. Jay was left staring in disbelief as Maeve sat up, her posture prim and perfect, her attitude unconcerned and breezy. The evil orange woman took a piece of toasted bread and dipped it into the thick, creamy sauce that had been set before her on one of the plates and, making sure to maintain eye contact, she devoured the appetizer in a single bite.
“Excellent flavor, as always,” Maeve commented. “The chef here must be related to Hans. You should try some.”
Jay stared blankly at her lover, silently watching as her vision slowly turned back to normal. Reaching out with one unsteady hand, she paused halfway to the small pyramid of crispy-looking balls that had been creatively stacked on the other plate that Lynn had served them.
“Are those special rooms available to everyone?”
“Only to those who know where to look,” came the teasing reply. “Like me.”
Resolve firming to match other parts of her, Jay grabbed a handful of the crunchy, cheesy spheres and shoved them into her mouth, barely tasting them as she chewed and swallowed with unnatural speed.
“Eat fast.”
“Yes, love,” Maeve took another bite. “No delays. I’ve got a hole to show you.”
