"We’re not even in the same major, so what kind of ’academic’ discussion are we supposed to have?" Gu Muxue asked, tilting her head. She was puzzled by the group chat name Xue Rui had chosen.

"Teacher Gu, besides our major courses, everything else is pretty much the same, right? How is that not an academic discussion?" Xue Rui picked up a piece of sushi and dangled it by Gu Muxue’s lips.

’In certain movies, you often see scenes of female teachers tutoring male students one-on-one. That definitely counts as an academic discussion.’

"Hmph! Whatever." Gu Muxue turned her face away. She had a vague feeling that it wasn’t a good name.

"I have some things to take care of, so I’ll be back a little late. Don’t miss me too much tonight," Xue Rui said with a pained expression.

Lin Ruoxi’s head shot up, a shiny grain of rice stuck to the corner of her mouth. "Rui, what are you going to do?"

"You’ve been skipping too many classes. I’m going to go clean up your mess."

Xue Rui planned to infiltrate the student council to get Lin Ruoxi’s demerits cleared.

He fed the sushi that Gu Muxue didn’t want to Lin Ruoxi. She obediently opened her mouth and ate it, then gently licked the salad dressing off Xue Rui’s fingers.

Xue Rui’s brow twitched. Feeding the little girl always felt like feeding a dog; she’d always lick his fingers, which gave him the urge to pat her on the head...

"From now on, if you don’t want to go to the evening study sessions, just don’t. Li Ruihao has a lot of connections in the Jiao University student council, and Muxue’s side of things will be easy to handle," Xue Rui said to the two of them.

"Okay, but you should come back early too," Lin Ruoxi said softly. She wanted to spend more time with Xue Rui, but at school, they always had to avoid prying eyes.

"Whatever works," Gu Muxue said. Seeing the grain of rice on Lin Ruoxi’s lips was driving her crazy; it felt like a cat was scratching at her heart.

As she spoke, Gu Muxue reached out, wanting to wipe the grain of rice from the corner of Lin Ruoxi’s mouth.

However, Xue Rui was one step ahead and wiped it away first.

Gu Muxue shot Xue Rui a glare. ’You saw it a long time ago, didn’t you? You just left it there on purpose to bother me, huh?’

Lin Ruoxi opened her mouth, ready to eat the grain of rice, but Xue Rui didn’t give it back to her as he usually would.

"Every grain of rice is the result of hard work, but I’m already full. I can’t eat another bite," Xue Rui said leisurely, patting his stomach. He brought his finger, with the grain of rice still on it, to Gu Muxue’s lips.

"Is a single grain of rice going to make you explode?" Gu Muxue’s face was beet red. Xue Rui was clearly teasing her on purpose.

’Not only was this grain of rice taken from Lin Ruoxi’s lips, but Xue Rui’s finger had even been licked by her...’

But Xue Rui’s hand remained by her lips, and Lin Ruoxi was watching her too.

After a moment’s hesitation, Gu Muxue opened her mouth and ate the grain of rice.

The corners of Xue Rui’s mouth lifted. He picked up his phone, confirmed the plugin was running correctly, and then, with a mix of nervousness and excitement, pressed the answer button.
