Chapter 3122: Chapter 3058: A Lifetime Honeymoon
"After we get married, I’ll take you to a place to play for two days. The scenery is beautiful."
"For the honeymoon?"
"Honeymoon?" Meng Xinian quickly understood, "Yes, honeymoon. But for us, every day will be a honeymoon."
He would never grow tired of her.
In the past couple of days, Jiang Xiao has also been accompanying Chiang Songhai and the others on outings. But having such a small child around made everything feel fresh for her.
The presence of the child made Ge Liutao much more optimistic and cheerful. She would often hum old folk songs softly while soothing the child to sleep, her gaze gentle and warm.
Every time Jiang Xiao saw her like this, she remembered the time she was thirteen and had just been reborn, seeing melancholy in Ge Liutao’s eyes—a sorrow that made her appear dull, devoid of any glow.
Back then, Jiang Xiao thought she would soon pass away due to illness and stress. But now, years later, Ge Liutao not only became healthier but also had a son, her complexion improved, and the sadness in her eyes vanished, replaced by a bright glitter.
In this light, Chen Zhu slightly resembled her.
Chiang Qingping’s laughter could be heard again.
Jiang Xiao was directing Xu Linjiang to help her hang the newly painted seascape in her studio, with Ge Dejun and Chu Liang assisting.
She wanted to finish this painting before getting married, and it was completed a few days ago. The framing at the gallery took a few more days.
The painting was large, and once hung, the originally plain, blank wall came alive.
Everyone stood in front of the painting, admiring it—an expansive sea, blue skies, white clouds, the nearby pristine sandy beach, and the clear waves rolling in, appearing like crystal jelly.
Looking at it felt as if they were standing by the sea.
It seemed as though they could feel the sea breeze blowing gently, cool and refreshing.
Ge Dejun reached out his hand, uncontrollably wanting to touch the painted water. When his hand encountered the painting, he snapped back to reality, realizing it wasn’t real water, just a painting.
He turned to Jiang Xiao in shock, "Little, your painting is amazing, it looks so real. I feel like diving in for a swim."
Xu Linjiang and Chu Liang had that sensation earlier too, but they remained somewhat clear-minded.
"I even felt the sea breeze." Chu Liang couldn’t help but say.
"Yes, I put a lot of effort into this painting to achieve that effect. When I get tired of painting, I’ll sit here to enjoy the sea view, and it will make me feel open-minded." Jiang Xiao said.
"Now I suddenly realize how great it is to know how to paint." Xu Linjiang commented while gazing at the painting.
A thought suddenly occurred to him, and he asked Jiang Xiao with bright eyes, "Little, what do you think about teaching Little Bean Bun to paint in the future?"
Uh, why did this idea pop up?
"Uncle, I don’t mind at all. But how would Little Bean Bun learn from me? It’s too far away."
"You’re right," Xu Linjiang said, "I’ll go back and think about how this might be possible."
"Uncle, if you truly want Little Bean Bun to learn how to paint, then maybe start by letting him draw from books. Send his works to me later, and I’ll see if he has a talent for it. Also, make sure to ask if he’s interested in it himself. Being able to follow one’s interests and passions is a fortunate thing. Don’t force him too much."
