Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito
Chapter 2934 - 2: Lin An Sect
"Hello, I am indeed from the outside."
Jia Yan nodded, maintaining an attitude that was neither humble nor overbearing.
The other party seemed slightly displeased. Although he was an early stage Star River level in this harmonious Starfield, he was at least an early stage Star River level, yet a Semi-permanent star level dared to look down on him?
"Sect Master, he just said he was forced to leave his previous Starfield because of his bad temper."
Beside the Lin An Sect Master, the interviewer who brought him quickly transmitted this information through their Brainwave Power.
"Oh yes, how could I forget that."
The Sect Master nodded hurriedly.
He looked at Jia Yan, "Can you tell me how strong you are within the Semi-permanent Star Level? How close are you to the Stellar Level?"
Jia Yan thought for a moment before replying, "I can’t guarantee how strong I am within the Semi-permanent Star Level, but in your sect, I don’t think there is any Semi-permanent Star level existence that can defeat me."
"Such arrogance!"
"It’s simply outrageous. Our Lin An Sect has at least a thousand Semi-permanent Star Level existences, and there are many external Semi-permanent Star Levels like you. You dare say there’s none in our Lin An Sect that can defeat you?"
People around from the Lin An Sect almost jumped with indignation.
Recognition within one’s own faction in this Starfield is extremely strong.
Yet Jia Yan was directly challenging not just the Semi-permanent Star level strong ones of the sect but the honor of the entire Lin An Sect.
"Oh, young man, do you know what you are saying? Words cannot be taken back once spoken."
That Star River early stage Sect Master, not appearing amused at all, had eyes flickering with displeasure.
Apparently, he was also not happy.
Jia Yan, a relatively small Semi-permanent Star level, had a talent for offending people, even making him, someone who rarely fights, feel murderous.
"That’s the truth. If the Sect Master is willing, you can send some Semi-permanent Star Level to compete with me. If I can’t win, I will choose to leave in disgrace, but if I win, then may I make a request?"
Jia Yan seemed unafraid.
"A request? What request? I need to hear it before deciding."
Not so confused by anger, the other party would not agree to Jia Yan’s demand on impulse, lest Jia Yan suggests something absurd.
"My request is simple. If I defeat all your Lin An Sect Semi-permanent Star Level Strong Ones, grant me the treatment of a Stellar Level for a year. Not higher or lower, just the treatment of an ordinary Stellar Level strong one."
"Hiss..."
"Such a request!"
"This guy named Jia Yan, daring to make such a request. Is he considering himself as a Stellar Level?"
"It’s probably a joke. A Semi-permanent Star level seeking Stellar Level treatment, even if achieved, what would the Stellar Level strong ones think? They’d surely give him trouble."
The onlookers murmured in slight astonishment.
They understood the huge gap between Semi-permanent Star Level and Stellar Level, yet Jia Yan disregarded this gap aiming for Stellar Level earnings. Even if he flawlessly defeats all the Semi-permanent Star levels, this still doesn’t justify his promotion to the Stellar Level team.
"This..."
The request startled the other party.
A Stellar Level’s treatment, within their Lin An Sect, was no small expense.
Yet the issue was, he was just a Semi-permanent breath level, nowhere near Stellar Level strength, even if he could defeat the entire Lin An Sect Semi-permanent Star levels, he honestly could not reach Stellar Level strength.
Moreover, he offended both Semi-permanent Star and Stellar Levels; if not managed well, they’d leap away from Lin An Sect in frustration.
Of course, the existence of the Sect Master was unaware that, regardless of offending others, Jia Yan would likely be gone in a few years.
Such situations are unavoidable, as every faction faces the result of people coming and going; if too rigid, given the current manpower shortage within the Milky Way, it would soon face demise.
"What? Lin An Sect lacks confidence in their Semi-permanent Star level subordinates?"
Jia Yan suddenly chuckled lightly.
The laughter almost incited every surrounding person to attack him.
Even the Sect Master’s eyes flashed with anger.
He nodded.
"Very good, Jia Yan, since you ignore the dignity of a Star River Level and insult my Lin An Sect, let me show you the existence of a faction and its heritage is no simple matter. You challenge all Semi-permanent Star Level strong ones of our Lin An Sect; I will not give excessive demands, and will let the top ten in the competition fight you. Since you claim so much power, you shouldn’t fear the combat sequence; considering everyone’s tight schedule, no one will give you days to fight slowly."
This was quite demanding; Jia Yan asking for a challenge against the entire Semi-permanent Star Level didn’t mean fighting thousands.
The Sect Master wasn’t overly excessive yet demanded Jia Yan to face the top ten in a sequence. This was like ensuring Jia Yan would waste substantial stamina, with uncertain victory.
"Alright."
Everyone anticipated Jia Yan haggling, yet surprisingly, he agreed without hesitation.
"Very good, then it shall begin shortly. I want to personally witness this boastful outsider’s real strength."
As the Sect Master coldly snorted and headed to the designated combat zone on the planet, the surrounding Lin An Sect members were furious.
They awaited Jia Yan’s disgraceful moment.
"Do you think Jia Yan might fail in the first round?"
"Hard to say; he dares to demand such in our Lin An Sect, implying he is confident. So regardless of the first opponent, even the strongest Semi-permanent Star might struggle; and the Sect Master likely won’t send the strongest first, rather weaker ones to test Jia Yan’s strength."
"I think the same, so he will likely win the first naturally."
"I guess the first is easy, the second ramps up, and he faces overwhelming opposition by the third. By then, he’s spent, so likely falls at the third competition point."
Several Dignitaries and Semi-permanent Star levels discussed Jia Yan’s fate like peers.
Jia Yan listened intently as he walked.
He shook his head slightly.
"If it were Stellar Level, I might find it improbable, but Semi-permanent Star level..."
He half smiled, as he was a mid-level Galaxy Existence. If an Avatar couldn’t sweep through Semi-permanent Star levels, it would be shameful.
Moreover, Jia Yan wasn’t genuinely pursuing a reward but testing if the Sect Master feigned ignorance about him being a mid-level Galaxy Existence Avatar.
Unexpectedly, the Sect Master couldn’t discern his status amidst the fury.
Making Jia Yan speechless, if he were a hostile Semi-permanent Star mid-stage, drawing the Sect Master’s attention while the true body abruptly attacked from subspace might kill him instantly.
Even facing Jia Yan directly, he’d be easily defeated, given the immense power gap.
As they walked, the planet, seemingly small, was actually substantial, taking twenty to thirty minutes before the massive Sect Master halted in a spacious area.
