This year’s poetry competition is different from previous years. In past years, it was an individual event, but this year, as candidates from various regions are participating, it has been organized into regional teams for competition.

Yang Ming from Shanshi County was arrested, and Young Master Song has aligned himself with the nobility, causing a stir among the other candidates from Shanshi County.

"No wonder Young Master Song didn’t come to participate. It turns out he has attached himself to the nobility."

No matter what the team members were discussing, Young Master Liu was no longer listening. He had been constantly thinking of a way to send out the message that he was the informer. Seeing the crowd in the venue, he grew anxious.

The only option now might be to expose Young Master Song’s true nature before the Fourth Prince.

Yet the Fourth Prince was not in the venue at this moment, and someone of his humble status couldn’t possibly know the Prince’s whereabouts.

Looking up at the loft, he pondered, and realized it could only be those people.

Perhaps if he told them, they might help him convey the message.

Thinking of this, he decided not to bother with the competition and headed straight towards the loft.

Seeing Young Master Liu leaving, the team members called out, "Brother Liu, where are you going?"

"I’m not participating in the competition, you all can participate on your own." After saying this, Young Master Liu left, paying no heed to the surprised and resentful gazes behind him.

In a few steps, he reached the entrance of the loft.

There were two guards standing at the entrance of the loft. Seeing him approach, they immediately held him back, "Who are you?"

Young Master Liu immediately bowed, "Honorable officers, I am a candidate from Shanshi County, and I have something to report to the Capital’s Magistrate."

The two government officers exchanged a glance, and one of them spoke, "Wait here for now."

Then one of them headed inside.

Young Master Liu stood there obediently, a wicked smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. He was about to achieve great success.

A moment later, the officer returned from inside, saying, "You may enter."

With that, Young Master Liu followed the officer nervously up to the second floor of the loft, where several people in official attire were present. He didn’t know who was who, but the officer guided him.

"Magistrate, this is him."

The Capital’s Magistrate glanced at Young Master Liu, then waved his hand, signaling the officer to leave.

"Do you have something to report to me?"

Young Master Liu immediately saluted, then spoke, "Yes, sir, I have something important to report."

He also glanced at the other officials nearby.

This action displeased the Capital’s Magistrate. The poetry competition was already under the watch of the Fourth Prince, unlike previous years, and could not be treated lightly.

Now, someone who appeared out of nowhere had come here to report something, and it seemed he didn’t want others to know?

The surrounding officials were his equals; how could he ask them to leave?

So he slowly said, "The Fourth Prince will be coming later. Unless it’s something very important, you should leave for now and come to the government office tomorrow."
