Reborn: I'll Never Fail My Childhood Sweetheart Again

Chapter 888: Yan Qiuwen Has Another Strange Dream

  • Next Chapter

After playing tennis, she took a shower at the tennis court, as the match left her sweaty and sticky.

Luckily, she didn’t smell bad—perhaps her healthy diet since childhood meant her body has absorbed very few harmful substances, even her sweat didn’t carry the usual sourness, but instead had a faint aroma reminiscent of a young girl.

It seems “fragrant perspiration” is not exaggerated; however, girls like this are rare, almost as rare as pandas in modern society.

The tennis court had a shower room and sold towels, shampoo, and shower gel; the owner really knew how to run a business.

She entered the women’s shower area, stepped into a cubicle, took off her tennis outfit, turned on the shower, letting the hot water flow over her jade-like skin, Yan Qiuwen closed her eyes, but her mind was replaying the scenes from the tennis match.

Teacher Su promised hands-on teaching, and he really followed through, without any hint of hesitation.

This guy has touched my hand for the second time. Doesn’t he know to ask a girl’s permission first?

Last time, when she had a high fever and refused to go to the hospital, Su Zelin forcibly dragged her out of the office.

Humph, his style and genetics are indeed domineering!

But it’s precisely this kind of man that made her feel like a little woman.

Other less intelligent men weren’t even considered her kind by Yan Qiuwen.

A quarter of an hour later, Yan Qiuwen walked out of the women’s shower area; Su Zelin was already waiting outside in the lobby. He wasn’t as particular with his showers, a quick rinse was enough, especially since he would shower again at home; he couldn’t let Qin Shiqing know he had showered elsewhere.

After the match, the guy was famished, so he took Yan Qiuwen to dinner and then drove her back to Lakefront Manor.

Before leaving, Su Zelin reminded her, “Qiuwen, remember, you promised me to keep exercising, build up your physique, even if it’s just to give birth to a better child in the future—you, the future mother, have to make an effort. I’ll take you to play tennis again next time!”

Yan Qiuwen: “…”

When did I promise you?

Why don’t I remember?

Perhaps due to the exercise, the intellectual beauty slept exceptionally sweet and had a dream that night.

The person appearing in the dream wasn’t unfamiliar; it was the little guy born in her dream that one drunken night, who insisted on having soy milk with fried dough sticks, refusing to drink otherwise. In kindergarten, he was a little tyrant, proudly telling her he had several girlfriends there, which greatly annoyed Yan Qiuwen.

However, this dream was slightly different from the last one; the little guy returned from kindergarten with an exquisite piece of handiwork on which were written the words “Happy Mother’s Day,” although crooked, it was already quite impressive for a child of kindergarten age.

Yan Qiuwen’s heart warmed, feeling incredibly moved.

Then the little guy arrogantly said this handiwork was no big deal, it only took him less than five minutes, earning praise from the teacher, claiming it was the best among all the children.

After boasting, he disdainfully criticized other classmates as fools—taking half a day to make something so simple, some even failing to finish.

Besides being moved, Yan Qiuwen was also annoyed, just about to educate him a bit, she woke up, realizing it was broad daylight.

Yet the face in the dream remained vivid, she even remembered the little guy’s features and his cocky manner when speaking; Yan Qiuwen sat up in a daze, feeling an unprecedented, peculiar sensation in her heart.

Although the little guy appeared in her dreams, she felt a profound connection with him.

After a moment, she snapped out of it, checking her phone to see it was already 8:20.

Typically, she had an accurate biological clock, so Yan Qiuwen never relied on an alarm.

However, the fatigue from last night’s exercise disrupted her biological clock rhythm, causing her to wake up much later.

Work started at nine, leaving half an hour.

Though Su Zelin granted her considerable freedom at work; whether arriving early or late, even resting anytime was allowed, Yan Qiuwen wasn’t accustomed to being late. She held compulsive time management values.

She jumped up to wash quickly, having no time for breakfast. Rushing, she hailed a taxi, arriving at the company just on time at nine.

As soon as she walked into the office, she saw a simple breakfast on her desk: soy milk, fried dough sticks, and two buns.

Yan Qiuwen didn’t have to think to know it was delivered by Su Zelin.

He must have thought about her playing tennis for the first time, with high exercise intensity, causing morning soreness making it hard to get up and not catching breakfast, hence providing assistance.

Humph, another trick!

Saying this, Yan Qiuwen still took the soy milk and began drinking.

It was still warm, suggesting it wasn’t bought too long ago.

Just drinking soy milk felt lacking, so she picked up the fried dough stick, eating as well.

Although unhealthy, it was indeed quite tasty.

During the morning staff break, Su Zelin appeared.

Seeing the empty breakfast wrapper in the trash, a slight smile emerged at the corners of his mouth.

It seems no one can escape the true fragrance law!

“Qiuwen, I tell you, last night I had a very strange dream!”

Su Zelin excitedly said.

“Oh, what kind of dream?”

Yan Qiuwen casually asked.

“I dreamed of you, you had a son!”

Su Zelin laughed.

The female strategist couldn’t help but feel her heart skip.

What? Such coincidence?

“Your son was very smart and exceptionally handsome, it seems his father must be an outstanding man!”
