"Of course. We’re an old married couple now. Too bad you weren’t around, otherwise you would’ve had to come to our wedding. After all, you’d have to call her ’sister-in-law’."

"Oh, right, are you married? How old are your kids? One or two?"

Qin Wenhao’s barrage of questions made Zhai Dajiang’s face darken.

’This guy has to be doing this on purpose.’

’He’s definitely doing it on purpose.’

"—I’m not that old! How could I be married with kids already? Don’t forget, I’m two or three months younger than you!"

"Ah, two or three months younger? I’d almost forgotten. After all, you right now—" Qin Wenhao’s gaze traveled up and down his frame. After clicking his tongue twice, he finally spoke again. "Is your job that tough? You look ten, maybe twenty years older than me."

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

’Ten or twenty years?’

At this point, his face wasn’t just dark; it had turned a horrifying shade of green.

’I just didn’t shave, that’s all. How does that make me look ten or twenty years older?’

’Heh. This guy must be trying to piss me off on purpose.’

Before he could fire back, he heard Qin Wenhao speak again. "You should hurry up and find someone, too. If you wait a few more years, no one’s going to be interested. After all, they’re looking for a boyfriend, not a dad."

Zhai Dajiang was now seriously pissed off.

"That mouth of yours is just as foul as ever."

Qin Wenhao wasn’t angered by his words.

He shot him a sidelong glance.

"You say that as if your mouth can spit out ivory. Go on, give it a try."

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

’Son of a bitch.’

’Why is this son of a bitch such a smartass?’

’Can I just smack him in the face?’

"Does Group Leader Fu know you have such a foul mouth?"

Qin Wenhao shot right back, "Fouler than yours?"

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

’Forget it. I’m not getting into a verbal spat with someone like him.’

Then his gaze fell on the pile of clothes in the basin.

They were a riot of color, and obviously not all of them belonged to Qin Wenhao.

"You might be useless at everything else, but you make a pretty good house husband."

Qin Wenhao sneered, "I’m useless at other things? Have you tried me?"

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

His eyes widened in shock.

"Qin Wenhao? Since when did you become so shameless?"

’How could he say something like that?’

’I’m getting second-hand embarrassment just listening to it.’

Qin Wenhao replied, "How am I being shameless? I was talking about fighting. You want to try me? Or... did you think I meant something else? Heh. A dirty mind hears filth in everything."

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

His face went from ashen to green with fury.

’That’s so goddamn shameless.’

"Alright, alright, you win. I can’t argue with you. I’m out of here."

He turned and stormed off in a huff.

But after just two steps, he stopped. Something wasn’t right—why should *he* have to leave?

And so he turned right back around.

After washing his face and brushing his teeth, he had calmed down considerably.

"I didn’t see you yesterday. Did you just get here today?"

His tone was much more level than before, so Qin Wenhao didn’t snap back at him.

"Yeah."

"You haven’t eaten, then? I’ll take you to the cafeteria in a bit, my treat. It’s been several years, hasn’t it? It’s really something, running into you here."

Zhai Dajiang sighed with emotion.

Part of it was the emotion of reuniting with a brother so far from home.

But he was also lamenting the fledgling spark of love that had just been snuffed out with a POOF.

He still had his principles.

No matter how much he liked a woman, he couldn’t just go and destroy another person’s marriage.

Especially when she was the wife of a brother he’d grown up with since they were in diapers.

Qin Wenhao glanced at him. "—Sure, why not. But no need to treat me. My wife has meal tickets."

Zhai Dajiang: ...?

’Look at that smug look on his face.’

’Bah!’
