Chapter 709: I Heard You Stirred Up a Little Trouble?

Once Wang Lihong was gone, Director Geng said with a smile, “That young woman certainly loves to bow.”

Fu Mingxue smiled. “She does. I’ve told her not to, but it’s probably a habit. I’m sure she’ll grow out of it.”

Director Geng didn’t say any more on the subject.

“Are you heading to the meeting now, or…?”

“Yes, the meeting. I’ll notify them in a bit that we’re meeting in the conference room in half an hour.”

“Alright, I’ll sit in on it too.”

Fu Mingxue nodded her approval.

Others might not have been allowed, but Director Geng was practically part of the project team and was involved in its work.

By the time she came out, Wang Lihong had already left with Xiao Li.

Fu Mingxue didn’t pay it much mind. After all, she’d already helped her find a position at the factory. The rest of the journey was up to Wang Lihong to walk on her own.

She first stopped by her office to organize a few things before heading over to the lab.

When the members of Group Six saw her, they were all delighted to have her back.

“Group Leader Fu, you’re finally back!”

“How has everything been? Give me a status update on your individual work.”

Feng Huan said, “Mine’s going fine. I haven’t run into any issues so far.”

Shao Man added, “My research is also progressing smoothly. There’s just a minor discrepancy in the data, but I’m working on resolving it.”

Chang Qingze, however, said, “I’ve got a bit of a problem. Group Leader Fu, could you take a look at it for me in a bit?”

Fu Mingxue looked at them. “Alright, let’s hold a meeting. Everyone can bring up any problems they have there.”

“Okay, I’ll let everyone know. By the way, should we ask the materials group to join?”

“Let’s have our own group meeting first. Once we’ve sorted out our internal issues, I’ll hold another meeting with Group Eight.”

Just as she said that, Li Zhao walked in.

Seeing him, Fu Mingxue repeated what she had just said.

Li Zhao nodded at once. “Sounds good. Just have someone let me know when it’s time for our meeting.”

He then handed her some documents. “Take a look at these, too. If any issues come up, we can discuss them during our meeting.”

“Alright. You can head back for now. I’ll have someone get you after our meeting is over. Bring Gu Zhen with you then.”

Fu Mingxue had discovered that Gu Zhen was exceptionally talented when it came to materials R&D.

Li Zhao’s expression faltered for a moment before he nodded. “Alright! I’ll be sure to bring him.”

He glanced at her. “I’ll be going, then.”

“Alright.” Fu Mingxue had no intention of asking him to stay for their meeting anyway.

After all, Group Six was the core group for engine R&D.

In less than half an hour, everyone from Group Six was present, except for one person who was away at the base and hadn’t returned.

Director Geng also hurried back in time for the meeting.

Even though he was the director, the head of the table wasn’t his to take.

Fu Mingxue scanned the room and began, “Now that everyone’s here, let’s get started. Before we begin, I want to show you all a set of data reflecting the improvements I made this past month.”

She took out the blueprints.

Someone immediately came forward to spread the blueprints out flat on the table.

Fu Mingxue pointed to the areas she had modified and explained her reasoning.

At this, everyone’s eyes lit up.

Director Xie called out to Qin Wenhao.

“Old Qin, I heard you went and stirred up some trouble in Wang Family Village?”

Hearing this, Qin Wenhao shot him a sidelong glance. “I was getting rid of a public nuisance. How is that ‘stirring up trouble’? You’re a director, for crying out loud. Could you try being a little more precise with your words?”
