"I am calm. If I wasn’t, then I would have rushed over to the school on my own without caring about anyone else." Old Madam Han scoffed. Even though she was angry, she was not a fool. She was not going to beat anyone in public lest everyone call her an evil mother-in-law. But—she rubbed the top of the cane and sneered. She really wanted to break the legs of that stupid woman. What good would it do to her if she ruined her grandchildren one after another?
"I will take you to the school." Zhai Muchen understood the gist of the situation. Though he knew that it wasn’t his place to intervene, he believed that the situation was quite a serious one. If they did not reach the school on time, who knows Meng Yunhan might really make Han Jianyou leave his school. As the era was changing, Zhai Muchen was very much aware of how important education was for the young ones. If Han Jianyou stopped studying, then it would harm him in the long run.
When Han Ruochen heard his suggestion, she could not help but feel quite embarrassed. "Brother Muchen, there is no need. We will take the bus. You have already helped us quite a lot. It is already so late; why don’t you go back home and take some rest?"
Judging from the not very pungent scent that was coming from Zhai Muchen, she knew that the man had come looking for her right away after he finished his mission and did not return home at all. Even if he were strong and sturdy, Han Ruochen was worried that Zhai Muchen would end up getting tired to his bones after working so hard.
"It’s alright; I will return home after dropping you all off at the school." Zhai Muchen wanted to return to the hospital with Han Ruochen but he was worried that if he pushed too much, he might end up causing trouble for himself. He could sense Han Yong’s wariness toward him and did not want to be accused of acting like a hooligan. It was better to step back when he still had time.
Han Ruochen wanted to refuse but before she could even say a word, Old madam Han nodded and agreed. "Then thank you for your help, Muchen." As she spoke, she did not forget to shoot a look of reproval to Han Ziyan, whose eyes were fixated on Zhai Muchen. Old Madam Han was aware of the virtues of her youngest granddaughter. As soon as she walked out of the hospital, Han Ziyan would try to hound Zhai Muchen and ask him about his job and family background.
She was not a fool to let Zhai Muchen get entangled with someone like Han Ziyan. She was such a person; if she ended up getting engaged to someone from the Zhai family, wouldn’t Han Ziyan raise the sky on her fingers? It was better to take Zhai Muchen along lest this troublesome girl start pestering him.

However, even though Han Ziyan was gritting her teeth in anger, she did not lose her temper with Old madam Han. She could only lower her head and accept this defeat. However, Han Ziyan was far from giving up. Since this man knew Han Ruochen and Old Madam Han was so protective of him, he must be from a good family. If that were the case, then she would definitely make this man wrapped around her finger.
Han Ruochen did not know that just a little meeting caused Han Ziyan to be hooked on Zhai Muchen. She hurried to the school with her grandmother and second uncle.
"Thank you, Brother Muchen. I will treat you to a meal on your next day off." Han Ruochen jumped off the jeep and nodded at Zhai Muchen, who nodded in response.
"Just take care of yourself. Try not to lose your temper with your mother too much and let your grandmother handle the situation." Zhai Muchen knew Han Ruochen’s dynamics with her mother.
