Chapter 496: Nini, I’m Angry (4)

Shen Nian naturally didn’t refuse. She didn’t know if she would ever need Ruan Hongbo’s help, but it certainly wasn’t a bad thing to know someone familiar with the campus.

After Ruan Hongbo left, Shen Nian and Lu Cheng went into the dormitory building.

Since it was move-in day, family members were allowed inside. Ordinarily, Lu Cheng definitely wouldn’t have been able to enter the women’s dormitory.

Shen Nian’s room was on the third floor, number 304. She unlocked the door with her key to find it was still empty.

"Looks like I’m the first one here!"

Shen Nian smiled and pulled Lu Cheng inside. After setting down her suitcase, she began to look around the room.

Shen Nian herself wasn’t in a rush. She would be living here from now on, so she’d have plenty of time to get a feel for the place. Her main goal was to let Lu Cheng familiarize himself with her new living situation. That way, even though he couldn’t live with her, he would at least know what her environment was like.

Lu Cheng, of course, didn’t object. He meticulously inspected every nook and cranny of Shen Nian’s room.

Then, he went back out to bring in the rest of their things from the car. He didn’t stop until he had moved everything into the room, made Shen Nian’s bed, and organized all her belongings.

Shen Nian didn’t refuse him, nor did she try to take over the tasks. She was perfectly capable of doing it all herself, but she knew Lu Cheng would be upset if she tried to stop him.

Since he wanted to do these things for her, she certainly wasn’t going to refuse.

And so, when the second person to arrive walked into the dorm room, the first thing she saw was Lu Cheng making a bed for Shen Nian.

"Hi, roommate! I’m Qi Yunzhi, a freshman in the Economics and Management program."

Quickly pulling her surprised gaze away from Lu Cheng, Qi Yunzhi smiled and greeted Shen Nian, then extended her hand.

Shen Nian stood up and shook Qi Yunzhi’s hand.

"Hi, I’m Shen Nian, a freshman in the Traditional Chinese Medicine program."

"Wow, you’re studying Traditional Chinese Medicine? That’s so cool!"

Hearing Shen Nian’s major, Qi Yunzhi’s eyes widened in surprise. Unlike Ruan Hongbo’s reaction, it seemed she genuinely found the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine to be impressive.

"You’re impressive too! Did you not bring any luggage with you?"

Shen Nian was a little surprised, seeing that Qi Yunzhi had arrived empty-handed with no one else following her in.

"I’m a local, so my family is bringing my luggage over later. I just came ahead to see if any of my roommates had arrived, and here you are!"

As Qi Yunzhi spoke, her eyes landed on Lu Cheng, who was still busy organizing things. She’d been in the room for a while, and he hadn’t stopped moving for a second, yet somehow she still hadn’t seen his face.

"Is that your brother? He’s so nice to you!"

When Shen Nian heard this, her heart sank. She turned and, sure enough, saw that Lu Cheng had frozen in place.

’Looks like I’ll really have to console Lu Cheng today,’ she thought. ’Being mistaken for my brother twice in a row... I can’t imagine how frustrated he must feel.’

"He’s not. He’s my husband!"

Just as before, Shen Nian seriously corrected her.

"Husband! You’re married?!"

Qi Yunzhi’s reaction was identical to Ruan Hongbo’s. Just as she was reeling from the surprise, Lu Cheng finished what he was doing and walked over to Shen Nian.

And so, Qi Yunzhi finally got a clear look at Lu Cheng’s face.

A moment ago, she had been stunned that Shen Nian was married. Now, an even greater shock took its place, one centered entirely on Lu Cheng.

"Shen Nian, your husband is gorgeous!"
