Chapter 533: I’ve Given You the Chance, Can You Seize It? (Part 1)

"Xiao Nian, what do we do now?"

After the student who had answered their questions left, Qi Yunzhi looked at Shen Nian and asked, her face etched with worry.

It wasn’t just Qi Yunzhi. Even Chu Lingxiu had realized something was wrong and started to worry.

"Let’s go check out the woods she just mentioned."

Shen Nian had a faint premonition that Wang Chunhua might be there right now.

"Okay."

Qi Yunzhi was inwardly relieved that Shen Nian, their rock, was there. Otherwise, the moment she started worrying, her mind would go completely blank, leaving her at a total loss.

The woods weren’t far. The three of them quickly made their way over, and soon they heard a commotion coming from that direction.

Qi Yunzhi and Chu Lingxiu hadn’t heard anything yet, but Shen Nian’s hearing was far more sensitive. She could already faintly make out sounds coming from up ahead.

In fact, she could even make out Wang Chunhua’s name.

Just as she’d suspected. Wang Chunhua was indeed here. But it wasn’t of her own free will—she had been forced.

As the voices grew clearer, Shen Nian’s brow furrowed.

「In the woods.」

After her class meeting ended, Wang Chunhua planned to head back to the dorm and prepare for tomorrow’s classes. However, she had barely stepped out of the classroom before a group of people blocked her path. They forced her directly into these woods.

There was no one else around. She didn’t even have a chance to call for help.

"What... what are you trying to do?"

Although Wang Chunhua didn’t recognize the others, she did recognize Cao Yuqing, who was standing right in front of her.

Earlier that morning, Chu Lingxiu’s words had left Cao Yuqing looking utterly humiliated as she moved out of their dorm. But now, as Cao Yuqing stared at her, her eyes were full of hatred.

It was the kind of look that said she was itching to walk right up and give her a beating.

The thought made Wang Chunhua’s heart pound with fear, and she instinctively took a small step back. However, the more she retreated, the closer Cao Yuqing and the others advanced, forcing her deeper into the woods.

"Wang Chunhua, who the hell do you think you are! Don’t think you’re so great just because you share a dorm with them!"

"I don’t think I’m so great! This is a school! You can’t do anything to me!"

Wang Chunhua wasn’t sure if she was trying to threaten them or just reassure herself. Her words sounded tough, but inside, she was scared to death.

"We’re in the woods. There’s nobody else around, and no one can see a thing. Even if we did something to you, who could possibly testify for you? Huh, Wang Chunhua? Why shouldn’t you have been the one kicked out of the dorm! Why does a country bumpkin like you get to laugh at my expense!"

Cao Yuqing had been stewing over being kicked out of the dorm. She certainly didn’t dare make trouble for Chu Lingxiu, and she was even too afraid to go after Shen Nian. The only person she could target without any repercussions was Wang Chunhua.

And so, she wanted nothing more than to unleash all her resentment on Wang Chunhua alone.

"I wasn’t laughing at you. Besides, I’m not the one who got you kicked out of the dorm."

Wang Chunhua was simple and kind-hearted by nature; she would never have thought to laugh at anyone’s misfortune. Moreover, even though she knew Cao Yuqing disliked her, she had still wanted to get along with her.

But to Cao Yuqing, Wang Chunhua’s words were still incredibly grating.
