Chapter 557: Banquet Preparation (Part 3)

Not everyone in the crowd could necessarily tell what relationship Shen Nian and Chu Lingxiu had with the two men who came to pick them up.

However, they could all see with perfect clarity that Gu Shuxin had appeared out of nowhere, trying to get close to the two men.

And after this public humiliation, the four of them left together, leaving behind a grim-faced Gu Shuxin.

This outcome was more than enough to give the student onlookers plenty to speculate about.

Especially since most of the people present were girls—and most of them lived in this very dormitory.

And when it came to gossip, boys didn’t stand a chance.

So, it wasn’t long before the story of Gu Shuxin trying to hit on some guys, only to fail spectacularly, had spread throughout the entire dormitory. Even if she had wanted to stop it, she couldn’t.

In fact, the more Gu Shuxin tried to stop the rumors, the faster and farther they spread.

However excited Gu Shuxin had been to let the rumors of her being the ’Young Miss of the Gu family’ spread, that’s how much she now detested these new rumors.

Of course, Shen Nian and the others, who had already left, were completely unaware of these events. They had only briefly mentioned Gu Shuxin right after getting into the car before she vanished from their conversation entirely.

For them, the most important thing right now was the Chu Family’s banquet that evening.

Chu Yunze didn’t take them straight to the Chu Family estate. Instead, he brought the three of them to the styling studio his family regularly used.

Lu Cheng and Shen Nian were the stars of tonight’s banquet. But one of them had come straight from his corporation, and the other had been picked up from school. Even if they were naturally gorgeous, they couldn’t just show up at the banquet without any preparation.

"This is a place our Chu Family comes to all the time. My mom has already made all the arrangements. You two, hurry up and get styled. You’re making a grand entrance tonight."

The more Chu Yunze spoke, the more excited he got. He’d known Lu Cheng for years, but he had never once seen him at a banquet!

In the past, he had invited Lu Cheng to attend these high-society banquets with him, but Lu Cheng had never accepted.

This time, if it weren’t for Shen Nian, Lu Cheng probably wouldn’t have agreed so easily.

The wait was torture, but the moment they finally saw Shen Nian and Lu Cheng make their entrance, both Chu Yunze and Chu Lingxiu’s eyes widened in astonishment, their jaws dropping!

They had already imagined that with Lu Cheng and Shen Nian’s good looks, they would be stunning after a makeover.

But they never imagined they would be *this* stunning!

"I’m telling you, if you two decided to break into showbiz, would there even be a place left for anyone else?"

After staring at Lu Cheng and Shen Nian for a long while, Chu Yunze finally blurted out this comment, earning him a few glares from Lu Cheng.
