Reborn in the 90s with a Space: Winning Back My Husband
Chapter 593: Big Sister Can Also Treat Illnesses?
"I know. Brother Yunze already told me. It’s just, Brother Gu, I can’t make any promises. Besides, I’m still not clear on the specifics of Elder Gu’s and your mother’s conditions."
"I know, Xiao Nian. I’m already incredibly grateful that you’ve agreed. As for the outcome, we can’t force it. When are you free? I can come pick you up and take you to the Gu family?"
Gu Hengzhi’s voice trembled slightly as he finished speaking. Shen Nian understood. He was truly devoted to the Gu Family.
"I’m afraid the next few days won’t work. Let’s wait for the weekend. I’ll go with you to the Gu family then."
Since she had agreed, Shen Nian had no intention of procrastinating. It was just that she had classes at school for the next few days. Even if she could squeeze in some time, it wouldn’t be enough, so it was better to just set it for the weekend.
"Okay. I’m not in a rush. After all, we’ve waited this long already."
"In that case, Brother Gu, would you mind telling me about Elder Gu’s and your mother’s conditions?"
Even though she couldn’t see them in person yet, Shen Nian could at least get a clearer picture of their conditions. That way, she could be better prepared.
"Okay."
Soon, Shen Nian learned the details of the Gu family’s two patients from Gu Hengzhi: Elder Gu, Gu Yansong, and Gong Shiya.
Elder Gu hadn’t been in the best of health back in the day. After the incident that year, the shock sent him into a fit of rage that overwhelmed him. Even though he was rushed to the hospital, it was ultimately a bit too late.
They managed to save his life, but he has been bedridden ever since, with moments of consciousness being few and far between.
And during Gu Yansong’s rare moments of lucidity, he would mostly mumble about the granddaughter who went missing all those years ago.
Gong Shiya’s condition was slightly better than Gu Yansong’s, but only physically.
Gong Shiya’s trauma wasn’t just physical—to a greater extent, it was psychological.
Even if Shen Nian was confident she could treat Gong Shiya’s physical ailments, she wasn’t so sure about the psychological issues.
After all, she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, not psychology.
Still, no matter what, Shen Nian would do her absolute best to heal them.
This wasn’t the first time Gu Zifan had gone out with his big brother and Shen Nian. The last time, the two of them had things to discuss and had sent him off to the side. This time, however, he wasn’t sent away and remained seated right beside Gu Hengzhi and Shen Nian.
So, Gu Zifan heard everything Gu Hengzhi and Shen Nian talked about.
He might not have understood all of it, but Gu Zifan grasped one thing: his favorite big sister was going to treat his mom and grandpa.
"Big Sister, you can treat sicknesses too?"
Gu Zifan’s eyes widened as he looked at Shen Nian. He knew his big sister was amazing, but he didn’t know she was *this* amazing!
’Big Sister really is the best!’
"Mhm. So if Fanfan ever feels unwell, you can tell Big Sister, okay?"
Hearing Gu Zifan’s voice, Shen Nian pulled herself out of the heavy conversation with Gu Hengzhi. She smiled at the boy and said,
"Okay, Fanfan will definitely tell Big Sister! Big Sister, can you make Grandpa and Mom better?"
Gu Zifan desperately wanted his grandpa and mom to get well. That way, their whole family could be healthy and together. Grandpa wouldn’t have to lie in bed, unable to wake up, and Mom wouldn’t be so frail anymore.
But little Gu Zifan was a sensible boy. He knew that over the years, his family had already found many doctors to treat his grandpa and mom, but none of it had worked.
He hoped his big sister could cure them, but he also didn’t want to put too much pressure on her.
"I don’t know for sure. But I can tell Fanfan this: I will definitely try my absolute best!"
