The rice was served, and everyone at the table looked eagerly at the Old Master, waiting for him to be the first to pick up his chopsticks.

But the Old Master just held his chopsticks, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, he suddenly looked up at Randall Jennings beside him and said, "I just remembered, Mr. Ellison’s youngest daughter isn’t married yet. You two should find some time to meet and see if you hit it off."

"Dad!" Randall Jennings said with a sigh. "That’s not a solution. Haven’t you figured that out by now?"

"That’s because your old man is out of other options."

As the Old Master spoke, he picked up the first bite of food with his chopsticks. Seeing this, the others all began to eat as well.

Randall Jennings remained silent, lowering his head to eat.

He wasn’t actually angry with the Old Master. This was the norm; every time he came home, his personal life was bound to be brought up for discussion.

’He was strong-willed enough not to care about these things. What truly bothered him was how much his father worried. He just wished the old man would relax in his advanced years and enjoy some peace and quiet. Wouldn’t that be better for everyone?’

As they were eating, Matthew Jennings suddenly looked up at his younger brother and casually asked, "Second Brother, what about that woman who was taking care of you at your place before?"

Randall Jennings didn’t register it at first and froze instinctively.

But the Old Master heard it. His radar went off immediately, and he asked excitedly, "What woman? He brought a woman home?"

He knew his second son’s disposition well. The man liked to be alone and didn’t even have a housekeeper.

’How could he have quietly brought a woman home?’

Matthew Jennings nodded. "One day, I thought Second Brother wasn’t home. Ivy had made some dumplings, so I went to drop them off for him. But when I walked in, I saw him sitting at the dining table with a woman, eating. He said he was sick."

"Is that true?" The Old Master looked at Randall Jennings and asked urgently, "Is what your big brother said true? You brought a woman home? What’s she like? Where’s she from? How old is she?"

Randall Jennings’s expression was calm, but when he realized his brother was talking about Jasmine Sterling, a gentle look subconsciously appeared on his face. "Dad, Big Brother misunderstood. She’s just a friend of mine. I was sick, and she came over to take care of me for a day. He just happened to run into her."

"That’s not ’just’ anything!" the Old Master declared with certainty. "When have you ever brought a woman home? The fact that you were willing to let her take care of you at your house proves she’s special to you!"

Randall Jennings paused, his chopsticks hovering. It seemed he had never considered what his father was implying.

Now that his father had pointed it out, he was momentarily stumped.

"Bring her home for me to see when you have the chance. A woman who can make you break your own rules can’t be half bad." A smile spread across the Old Master’s face, his mood instantly lifting.

Just then, Matthew Jennings gave him a look, and Randall Jennings immediately understood.

’Big Brother brought it up on purpose. Giving the old man something to hope for would stop him from constantly nagging me about blind dates.’

At the table, only Ivy Winters noticed the shift in Randall Jennings’s expression and aura. But she said nothing, simply lowering her head with a knowing smile before continuing to eat.

The rest of the meal was particularly pleasant. Whenever Randall Jennings ate at home, his mood always improved significantly.

The Old Master, seemingly happy about what his eldest son had mentioned, pulled a few of the younger generation to have a couple of drinks with him.

After dinner, Randall Jennings, Reginald Jennings, and Kael Jennings chatted about company matters, while Matthew Jennings and Ivy Winters accompanied the Old Master for a walk.

The moment they stepped outside, the Old Master couldn’t help but ask again, "Eldest, was what you said just now true? Did you really see a woman at Second Brother’s house?"

"Why would I make up a lie like that to fool you for no reason?"

The Old Master nodded, a grin he couldn’t suppress spreading across his face. He knew his eldest son; he wouldn’t lie.

"Oh, this is good, this is very good." The more he thought about it, the happier he became. "I always had to force him to go on blind dates before. He was always passive. If he’s taking the initiative this time, there might really be a chance."

"Dad, don’t push Randall too hard on this. He’s not young, but in this day and age, there are plenty of women in their thirties who aren’t married. Nobody’s in a rush. Besides, Randall is the chairman of the company; he has to be even more cautious about marriage. You shouldn’t just shove any random person his way. Look at Director Miller from the Lowell Group—he didn’t get married until he was forty-five, and doesn’t he have both a son and a daughter now?" Matthew Jennings took the opportunity to reason with the Old Master, hoping to ease some of the pressure on his brother.

"He’s not in a hurry, but what about me?" The Old Master’s eyes widened. "I’ve practically got one foot in the grave already, and he..."

"Dad!" Ivy Winters quickly cut him off. "You’re always so pessimistic about your health. We took you for a check-up not long ago, and the doctor said your blood pressure is just a little high. Nothing else is wrong with you. The key to good health is to worry less and not get angry so often. It’s not as dramatic as you make it sound."

"Besides, Matthew said Randall really did bring a woman home. That’s a good sign. You really shouldn’t push him so hard. Let him take his time, and something might come of it."

"Really?" the Old Master asked uncertainly. He always tended to listen to what Ivy Winters had to say.

Ivy Winters nodded. "Pushing too hard will only have the opposite effect. If Randall is taking the initiative this time, you should just wait and see what happens. Don’t make things more complicated."

"Alright then. I’ll see if he can bring her home to me." The Old Master sighed. "Anyone he’d take an interest in on his own probably isn’t half-bad. I don’t expect her to be as cultured and refined as you, but at the very least, she should be an excellent woman."

"That’s a given," Ivy Winters agreed with a nod. After a moment of thought, she looked at the Old Master and asked, "Dad, do you have any requirements for Randall’s future partner?"

"Requirements?" The Old Master snorted. "None. I’d thank my lucky stars if he just finds someone. The Jennings Family doesn’t lack money or power. As long as she has a pleasant appearance and a good character, that’s enough."

Hearing this, Ivy Winters felt a little relieved. She suspected that the woman Randall had brought home was likely older than the ones the Old Master had previously introduced.

Based on her understanding of Randall, he probably wouldn’t be interested in those younger girls; otherwise, it’s unlikely that none of the many he’d met had lasted.

But as for how old the woman might be, Ivy Winters didn’t speculate.

"Ivy," the Old Master said, "I can stay out of this, but you have to help me find out more later. Randall respects you as his sister-in-law. If you get a chance to meet that woman, help me get to know her a bit. Dad trusts you the most."

Ivy Winters smiled and nodded. "Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll keep it in mind."

Later, when she was alone with Matthew Jennings, she shared her thoughts. After listening, Matthew gave her a thumbs-up. "Honey, you’re amazing."

"Was I right?"

Matthew Jennings nodded. "Exactly. That woman looked very mature. I’d say she’s probably around thirty-seven or thirty-eight."

"Oh, then could she have been married before?" Ivy Winters guessed instinctively. If she had been, she feared the Old Master wouldn’t be able to accept it.

"That, I don’t know. But seeing the two of them eating at the same table that day... I have to say, they looked like a really good match. Much more suitable than those young girls Dad introduced him to."
