Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't

Chapter 735 - 731: Going Abroad to Join the Production

  • Next Chapter

As March approached, Director Alan’s new film was finally about to start shooting in Meridia.

At Lorcain International Airport, a Mercedes-Benz luxury van slowly came to a stop in the underground garage. Finn and two bodyguards hopped out first to get the luggage from the back, while Yuna helped Lily with her water bottle and bag. "Lily, we’re at the airport."

Lily Sterling, still holding a script, nodded, put on her sunglasses, and got out of the van.

They took the elevator straight to the departures level. A celebrity’s travel experience was always different from an ordinary person’s, unless they were traveling alone.

For an actor like Lily Sterling, who was preparing to join a film production—and an overseas one at that—traveling with several large suitcases and assistants was a given.

So, the moment she stepped out of the elevator, people recognized her. But deterred by the two imposing men in black flanking her, the crowd kept a respectful distance. Most just took out their phones to snap a few photos of her airport fashion from afar.

Lily Sterling was dressed head-to-toe in MIUMIU’s new Winter 2026 collection. The outfit was sharp and distinctive, radiating a youthful energy. Every candid photo taken by passersby served as a walking advertisement for the brand—exactly the role of a brand ambassador.

"Lily Sterling, you’re so beautiful!"

Some waved and called out to her from a distance.

"Lily, I love you!"

Lily would look in their direction and smile in response, not putting on airs in the slightest.

Just then, someone suddenly rushed forward from the side. Before he could even get close, a bodyguard with quick reflexes grabbed and restrained him.

Seeing this, Lily quickly said, "It’s okay, it’s okay! That’s my brother."

Ronald, pulling a suitcase and wearing a backpack, gave Lily a goofy grin. "Sis, I’ve been waiting for an hour."

Lily glanced at the time, exasperated but amused. "You’re way too early. The plane isn’t going to take off with just you on it."

Ronald flashed a big, toothy grin and scratched his head sheepishly. "It’s my first time going abroad, so I’m a little excited. I barely slept all night. I just had a quick bite this morning and came straight here."

"What about my aunt? Didn’t she see you off?"

"I didn’t let her. She would’ve just nagged me endlessly. I’m a grown-up now."

Lily smiled and nodded, then turned to Yuna to confirm, "You booked a first-class ticket for my brother, too, right?"

"Yes, it’s first-class."

Lily took Ronald by the arm. "Come on, let’s go check in and drop off our bags. Then we can relax in the lounge for a bit."

First class had its own priority check-in counter. Yuna handled the entire process, so all Lily had to do was stand aside and wait for the photo ID verification.

Ronald was fidgeting with excitement, practically spinning in place. "Sis, I heard first class is super expensive. A ticket for an international flight must cost a fortune."

"Don’t worry about it. It’s on me."

"Then don’t buy one for the flight back. I can rough it; economy is fine for me."

Lily laughed. "I already bought your return ticket, too. It’s scheduled for right before your visa expires. I’m taking you abroad to see the world and have fun, not to suffer on a budget trip. Our family’s doing well now, so there’s no need to endure hardship for its own sake. Those were our big sister’s exact words."

"I get it, Sis. I was just being polite," Ronald immediately backpedaled, but he was also an expert at making her feel appreciated. "Still, thank you for spoiling me."

Lily smiled, genuinely happy. ’If nothing else,’ she thought, ’this trip with Ronald definitely won’t be boring.’

Once all their luggage was checked, a staff member personally escorted them through the VIP security lane and on to the airline’s first-class lounge.

On the way, they happened to run into Yuri Tucker.

"Lily!"

Yuri Tucker was dressed all in black, which made his already tall and slender frame seem even more so. For his role, he’d let his hair grow slightly longer than usual, and Beau had arranged for a professional team to give him a new style. His entire presence felt different from before.

"Yuri, you’re on this flight too?" Lily, pleasantly surprised, greeted him warmly and introduced him to Ronald.

Yuri Tucker explained, "Beau booked it. He said he could ask the company to approve a first-class ticket for me so I’d be more comfortable on the flight. But I told him it was too expensive and that I haven’t reached a status where I can fly first-class yet. I said economy would be fine, but he insisted on getting me the upgrade."

"You’re joining Director Alan’s production, so of course the company is treating it as a priority," Lily said. "Besides, Beau is a really good person. This is exactly the kind of thing he would do."

But then Yuna leaned in and whispered to Lily, "Given Yuri’s current status, there’s no way the company would approve a first-class ticket for him unless a brand was paying for it. The company is very strict with its policies; they wouldn’t make an exception, not even for Beau."

"Odds are Beau paid for the upgrade out of his own pocket. The most the company would approve for him is business class."

Lily raised her eyebrows, understanding dawning on her.

Yuri looked at her, confused by what Yuna had just whispered. "What is it, Lily?"

Lily Sterling gave a gentle smile and, without any hesitation, told Yuri exactly what Yuna had just said.

When Yuri heard that Beau had paid for the first-class upgrade out of his own pocket, he was stunned. "Beau... he..."

"Don’t feel bad about it," Lily said. "I’m telling you this so you’ll remember his kindness. He’s a truly wonderful and responsible manager. All you need to do is never forget that."

’Beau shouldn’t just do good deeds in secret,’ Lily thought, ’giving his all without anyone knowing.’

’Good deeds should be acknowledged. That’s how people learn about them, and it makes them remember that kindness when they have to make decisions down the line.’

Lily wanted Yuri to understand and be grateful, so that he wouldn’t end up like the other artists who had eventually left Beau after he’d helped them.

Yuri was indeed deeply moved, and his eyes reddened slightly.

The group arrived at the first-class lounge. At major airports, every airline provides a separate and private lounge for its first-class passengers.

Entry was granted on a per-ticket basis.

Yuna and the other assistants were not allowed inside.

It was the first time in a first-class lounge for both Ronald and Yuri. The staff member who had escorted them explained in a gentle tone, "If any of you would like to dine, you can scan this QR code to order from today’s menu."

"If you need a shower, massage, or spa services, just let a staff member know. It’s all complimentary."

"Please let us know if there is anything else you need, and we will do our best to accommodate you."

"A staff member will notify you before boarding and escort you to the plane via a dedicated lane. Please, have a seat over here. It’s quiet and has a nice view."

After the staff member departed, Ronald couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement, "Sis, you can order food in here? And get showers and massages?"

"What? Want to give it a try?"

"Oh, no, that’s all right. I just think it’s all so novel. My mom woke up extra early to make me dumplings. She has this saying, ’Dumplings for departure, noodles for arrival,’ and insisted it applies to plane trips, too. If I’d known I could get free food here, I would’ve just eaten here."

Yuri, meanwhile, had already taken out his phone to scan the code. "I didn’t eat this morning," he said. "Let me see what they’ve got... Lily, are you eating?"
