Reborn To Guide The Defective Sentinel

Xin Linhua had three rules after being reborn:

Don’t get involved in trouble.

Don’t attract attention.

And absolutely, under no circumstances, get involved with anyone in the institute.

Naturally, he broke all three on his very first day.

After getting backstabbed by the only person he trusted, he was reborn into a world where Sentinels possess terrifying abilities and Guides are responsible for keeping them sane.

Xin Linhua discovers that he has somehow become a Guide.

An F-Rank guide with zero abilities and a terrible reputation.

Great. The heavens are against him!

Maybe he'll make the most of it and become a wastrel, think of it as a forever vacation in another world away from earth.

What he doesn’t expect is to be assigned to a defective Sentinel.

A beautiful, blindfolded, utterly terrifying youth with undiagnosed anger issues, and who has a rather unusual habit of killing anyone who gets too close to him.

Xin Linhua probably should be concerned, terrified out of his mind. He isn't.

Instead, he thinks he has found a very amusing bodyguard. A small, feisty but caring bodyguard.

Because somewhere between the murderous stares, questionable life choices, and increasingly suspicious amounts of close contact, Xin Linhua realizes something very important:

His Sentinel is completely obsessed with him. What happened to the aloof Sentinel who threatened to kill him on their first meeting?

Unfortunately...

He's starting to feel the same way. So much for living a peaceful life.

Then again, who needs peace when you have a terrifyingly devoted Sentinel, an unhealthy amount of mutual obsession, and absolutely no sense of self-preservation?

Xin Linhua certainly doesn't.
