Chapter 572: Chapter 362: Walking on the Sea, Seeking the Truth Across the Ocean

Across the ocean, at the Pentagon.

The massive round table was filled with people. On the wall directly opposite them, a giant display screen was divided into a grid of smaller frames, each showing the face of a man or woman in a business suit.

This was more than just an internal meeting for the Starry Sky Country; it had expanded beyond a simple allied conference.

Four of the world’s "Five Benefactors" were in attendance.

They were the most powerful people on the planet. A single word from them could decide the fate of a small nation, a single decision could shake all seven continents.

Today, these individuals had dropped all other important matters to gather here for one reason: to deal with a single person.

"What is Donghua’s position on this?"

The question came from an elderly Caucasian man in a suit, his white hair combed neatly back. Every line on his face spoke of immense authority.

"We received a reply from them not long ago. They claim this is Yi Beidou’s personal action, and that he is not under their control—nor can they control him," said the Starry Sky Country’s Number One, who sat at the head of the table, his voice grave.

"Could that just be their excuse?"

another middle-aged man inquired.

"It’s unclear. Based on their response, they don’t appear prepared for an all-out war with us. Besides, at this point, that’s no longer the question we should be asking."

The Starry Sky Country’s Number One slammed his hand on the table. He reached out and tapped the holographic projection in front of him. A file was magnified on the main display as everyone else’s video feeds shrank to the side. The same information appeared on each person’s individual holographic screen.

It was an intelligence file on a top-tier threat. At the very top of the document was the headshot of a young man.

His face was sharply chiseled, all hard lines and angles. His wild eyebrows slashed upward like broken swords, the bridge of his nose was a piercing ridge, and his brow was deeply furrowed. His features were aggressive and fierce, but his eyes—half-lidded and slightly downcast—were serene and peaceful.

It was Yi Beidou’s college ID photo.

"Yi Beidou, native of Donghua Wencheng. Threat Level: Global Maximum. Data analysis indicates that his threat level exceeds that of our most powerful thermobaric weapons. He can easily destroy targets the size of major cities. Given enough time, there is a high probability he could overthrow large nations, or even trigger a collapse of the entire human social structure, leading to a global extinction event."

"His specific capabilities are as follows..."

Everyone in the room, particularly the high-level officials from other nations, fell silent as they reviewed the file provided by the Starry Sky Country.

They all knew Yi Beidou was strong, but each of them had a different idea of just *how* strong.

Their understanding of individual Cultivation was limited by the information they had access to. Much of the data was inaccessible even to the highest echelons of the Starry Sky Country itself.

This was done to avoid causing a panic.

But now, the most detailed intelligence the Starry Sky Country had gathered, along with the most thorough analysis of Yi Beidou’s threat level, was laid bare before them all.

Extreme physical durability; he defeated a Sleeper capable of withstanding a tactical nuclear-grade attack in direct combat, suggesting that doomsday-level underground bunkers would likely fail to prevent his infiltration. His short-range burst speed can easily break the sound barrier, with his absolute limit remaining unknown. He possesses terrifying physical stamina; provided he has enough food to replenish his energy, he can travel long distances across continents at a speed comparable to a commercial airliner.

Incredibly high survivability; his healing factor is hundreds of times greater than a normal human’s, allowing him to regenerate a severed limb in mere seconds. So long as his head does not sustain a fatal injury, he can recover from any wound in a short amount of time. He has an unbelievable intuition, a near-precognitive sense for danger that makes it impossible to lay a trap for him without a cloaking method of a similar caliber. Furthermore, he has an exceptionally powerful digestive system, rendering him almost immune to all toxins and allowing him to devour any living tissue, which he can rapidly convert into Physical Ability...

He can directly manipulate a form of tangible energy, though it is unknown how a human body can harness and refine it. The target has also mastered a specialized form of this power, which manifests as a corporeal black flame. This flame burns far hotter and spreads much faster than conventional fire, making it incredibly difficult to extinguish and contain. It appears to be capable of directly combusting some unknown form of energy. We currently estimate the target’s range of control over this flame can exceed fifteen kilometers in a short time; its potential uncontrolled spread is unknown. If unleashed within a major city, it would cause catastrophic casualties.

Numerical superiority is ineffective against him.

Conventional light and heavy weaponry are ineffective against him.

A single nuclear weapon has a less than thirty percent probability of inflicting effective damage.

If the target enters a populated urban area, there are no known methods of restraining him without incurring massive civilian casualties.

A counter-strategy using other powerful individuals is almost completely ineffective. Among all Cultivators, including the ancient, hidden entities known to exist, his strength is in a league of its own. The source of his power cannot be analyzed, and it may be years, if not decades, before a scientific method of replicating his abilities can be discovered.

...

Reading the list of abilities and analyses, item by item, struck fear into the hearts of everyone present.

’Is this even human?’

’This is practically a God, towering above all other living things!’

’Who could have imagined that in a modern world ruled by science, a monster like this could possibly exist?’

The Starry Sky Country’s Number One scanned the faces around the room, seeing fear in many of their eyes. This was precisely why they hadn’t released this intelligence sooner.
