Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 26: The Council

The beautiful artificial sun shone down upon Liam’s skin, bathing the entire landscape in a gentle warmth as its golden rays illuminated the newly created Gothic infrastructure.

After creating such an enormous structure from nothing, Liam could not help but feel curious about every little detail he had brought into existence. He had spent so much time merely imagining the building that seeing it standing before him as a tangible reality filled him with a strange sense of accomplishment, even though he knew that creating something here required little more than thought.

He slowly walked through the courtyard, examining the stone pathways, carefully arranged gardens, large pillars, decorative structures, and every other detail that had emerged from his imagination.

"This is insane... Absurd even."

Liam eventually made his way toward the main entrance, where a grand red carpet extended from the enormous doors and continued deep into the building.

The carpet was wide enough for several people to walk across at once, and intricate golden patterns were woven into its edges, creating an appearance that immediately made the entire structure feel like an important place rather than merely a building he had created for convenience.

He followed the carpet until he reached the central council chamber, where the enormous circular table he had previously imagined stood at the center of the room. Around it were exactly twenty-four seats, each carefully arranged with equal spacing, while the chamber itself possessed a tremendous amount of empty space that made every movement echo faintly throughout the hall.

Yet Liam’s attention was not immediately drawn toward the table. Instead, his eyes settled upon a massive chair positioned directly behind it.

The chair was considerably larger and more elaborate than the twenty-four surrounding seats, with an enormous backrest extending high above the others and intricate carvings covering its frame.

The armrests were decorated with elegant patterns, and several jewel-like ornaments had been embedded into the structure, giving the entire thing an almost royal appearance. Its position also made its purpose obvious, because whoever sat upon it would have a clear view of the entire council chamber and everyone seated around the table.

Liam approached it slowly before placing his hand against one of the armrests, examining it for a moment as though he had discovered something unexpected despite being the one who created it.

"That must be the throne."

Liam sat down and crossed his legs, gently resting one arm against the side of the chair while looking across the enormous chamber.

From this position, the twenty-four empty seats appeared almost like they were waiting for their future occupants, and the thought of eventually filling them with representatives from different civilizations made him strangely excited.

He began thinking about the individuals he had encountered throughout his observations, considering their intelligence, influence, personalities, and ability to represent their respective races.

Although there were countless individuals who could potentially qualify for such a position, Liam could currently think of only two characters whom he believed would be especially suitable as the first members of his council.

"At this moment, I can only name two characters that would be best for my council."

Before continuing his preparations, Liam decided to create another apple, simply because he could. Liam reached out, caught it in his hand, and smiled at how easily the process had become.

He took a bite from it while opening the System UI, scrolling through its functions as he considered everything else he could possibly do with Consciousness Space.

The realization that he could create an environment entirely for his own use made him feel almost foolish for not discovering this ability sooner, especially considering how much time he had spent observing the world without ever creating somewhere peaceful where he could simply relax.

"I can finally have a space for me to relax. I’m so dumb for not checking this skill before."

Liam finished his apple and stood from the throne before beginning a more thorough exploration of the enormous building. The interior was far more spacious than he had originally imagined, with enormous corridors stretching throughout the structure and ceilings so high that the entire place could almost be compared to a hollowed-out skyscraper.

Eventually, he reached a large staircase that led toward another floor, where several doors lined both sides of a long corridor. He counted them carefully and immediately recognized the deliberate arrangement he had subconsciously created.

"This floor right here has twelve exact rooms, so the other side must have another twelve rooms."

Curious about what each room would contain, Liam approached the closest door and opened it. Instead of finding furniture or decorations, he discovered a completely blank room with empty walls and a spotless floor, almost as though the entire space had been intentionally left unfinished.

Liam walked inside and looked around, realizing that the lack of decoration was actually perfect for what he had intended.

Since every council member would come from an entirely different background, he saw no reason to force them into a standardized environment.

Each representative could eventually customize their own room according to their personal tastes, their civilization, or even their accomplishments.

"Perfect. This room will be like a canvas for the council members."

Satisfied with what he had seen, Liam left the main building and returned to the courtyard, where another structure stood a short distance away.

Although it was still enormous compared to ordinary buildings, its scale was clearly smaller than the central Gothic complex.

He walked toward it and pushed open the large entrance doors, revealing a spacious chamber with exactly twenty-four distinct sections arranged around the interior.

Each section appeared to have been deliberately assigned its own place, creating the impression that the room had been designed specifically to preserve something connected to every future member of the council.

Liam looked around before noticing the enormous statue positioned directly in the center of the chamber, and he immediately remembered creating it during the final stages of his visualization.

"This room must be the achievement room that I visualized at the last second."

The statue itself depicted a black humanoid figure standing silently at the center of the hall. It possessed no distinct facial features, no clothing, no visible race, and nothing that could properly explain what it represented. Beneath the figure was a simple inscription containing only two words: The Entity.

Liam stared at it for a while, finding the simplicity strangely appropriate. Every major achievement could be represented through trophies, artifacts, statues, monuments, or other displays, allowing the chamber to gradually transform into a record of the civilizations connected to his council.

He imagined one section eventually displaying the discovery of an artifact created through a revolutionary invention, and another perhaps containing the weapon of someone who accomplished something worthy of being remembered for generations.

"Every achievement made by the representatives will be shown here in the form of trophies and other things."

After spending another moment looking at the section, Liam finally left the achievement hall and returned to the courtyard.

The artificial sun continued shining above him as the gentle breeze moved through the trees, while the river flowed peacefully through the surrounding landscape.

He crossed the courtyard once again and entered the main building, following the long red carpet until he returned to the central council chamber.

The twenty-four seats remained completely empty, surrounding the enormous table beneath the towering ceiling. Behind them stood the throne he had created for himself, positioned perfectly so that he could observe every future representative from a single place.

Liam sat down again and crossed his legs, resting his arm against the throne as he looked at the empty seats. For now, there was nothing remarkable happening inside the council chamber, but he knew that would eventually change. Each of those seats would belong to someone important, someone capable of influencing an entire civilization or carrying knowledge that Liam could not acquire simply by observing from afar.

Liam slowly looked toward the first empty seat.

"Now let’s summon the first representative."
