Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 29: The Roundtable

  • Next Chapter

With Odir being the first, it was only logical that he would not remain alone for long. If Liam truly intended to establish the beginning of a council, then a single member would hardly be enough to give it any meaning.

"Now, let’s summon the others."

Liam paused for a moment, his thoughts turning toward the planetary archive. He could personally summon only one more individual whose existence he knew well enough to recreate without relying entirely on the system, but four founding members seemed like a reasonable number for the council’s beginning. It would provide enough voices for different races and perspectives without making the gathering feel unnecessarily crowded.

I may need to summon two more, or else this place wouldnt be a council.

His attention then shifted toward the vast collection of records stored within the planetary system.

System, search through the planetary archive for possible candidates. The individual must possess a strong kinship with their people.

[Searching the Planetary Archive...]

For several seconds, countless records seemed to pass through Liam’s consciousness, each containing fragments of lives that had once shaped the world below. Leaders, warriors, scholars, explorers, priests, and countless forgotten individuals appeared within the search before the system finally narrowed the selection down to those whose connection with their people was strongest.

[Best Candidates Identified.]

[Candidate One: Moleius the Wise.]

Moleius the Wise was a druid who had displayed extraordinary talent for calligraphy from a remarkably young age. His hands had transformed simple ink into words that carried emotions far beyond their time, allowing him to compose poems, stories, and philosophical writings that continued to be studied even centuries after his death. His works had survived generations of scholars and had become treasured pieces of history, preserving fragments of the culture and beliefs of an age that had otherwise faded into obscurity.

He had died two hundred years ago when a devastating fire consumed his entire village. The flames had devoured homes, forests, and lives alike, yet by what many later considered a miracle, every piece of writing he had produced remained untouched. His works had been discovered amid the ashes, almost as though something had deliberately protected them from destruction.

[Candidate Two: Olium Rootil.]

Olium Rootil was an elven leader remembered as the individual who united the scattered elven communities during his lifetime. Rather than allowing the elves to remain divided by their separate settlements and traditions, he initiated the proposal that they should live together as one people, laying the foundation for the unified elven society that would eventually flourish throughout the forest.

His devotion toward his people was recorded throughout elven history, but his final battle became the greatest testament to it. When a dragon descended upon the elven forest, Olium confronted the beast himself. The creature towered above the ancient trees, yet Olium fought it until the final moment and managed to slay the dragon in their last confrontation. Unfortunately, his body could not withstand the tremendous impact of his own fall after the battle, and he died shortly afterward.

Liam’s eyes widened slightly as he processed the information.

"Druids and elves must have produced some truly remarkable individuals for the system to pick them."

He looked toward the records again, studying the two names with growing interest.

"Their symbiotic relationship with their people is incredibly strong. And the elven leader killed a dragon?"

His expression became one of genuine disbelief.

"That dragon? The one that towers over the long trees of the elven forest?"

For a moment, Liam simply stared at the information before his attention shifted back toward Odir. The lizardman remained seated closest to the throne, his massive figure still and composed as though he had already accepted that whatever Liam intended to do next would be beyond anything he could comprehend.

"Olium, Moleius,... That should be enough to get the council started. Though I still need to occupy twenty more slots eventually, that can be pushed to the back of my mind for now."

If these individuals were going to become the foundation of the council, simply giving them positions would not be enough. They needed power, something that would establish their presence among their respective peoples and turn their names into something worthy of reverence.

"Now, for their powers. I think I’ll create an artifact for each of them, then give those artifacts to their people and reveal their names. That way, they’ll know exactly who their deities are."

Liam slowly raised one hand.

His fingers curled inward, and the instant his eyes closed, the space before the throne began to change.

Reality itself seemed to hesitate.

The empty air trembled first, followed by a faint distortion that spread outward like ripples across an invisible lake. Particles of light began gathering within the distortion, but they did not simply appear. They assembled. Layer by layer, the world itself began reconstructing what had once existed, drawing upon every record stored within the planetary archive.

Bone formed first. Then came muscle, flesh, organs, and skin, each component emerging from the surrounding space with unnatural precision. Threads of clothing followed, weaving themselves together as though invisible hands were stitching them directly into existence.

Hair appeared strand by strand, while memories, expressions, scars, and even the smallest physical details were reconstructed from the remnants preserved within the planet’s records.

"Summon Olium Rootil and Moleius the Wise."

The distortion suddenly intensified.

A surge of light erupted before the throne as reality completed its work, giving form to three individuals who had long since vanished from the world. The air settled moments later, leaving behind three individuals sitting silently before Liam and Odir.

"Welcome to the council, my dead pantheons."

His voice resonated throughout the entire spacious chamber, carrying across the vast hall and reaching every corner of the newly established council’s domain. The words lingered in the air with an almost divine weight, as though reality itself had acknowledged the beginning of something that had never existed before.
