Reincarnated as the Final Villain’s Vessel

Chapter 215: Dinner Invitation

"Can we continue what we started?"

The girl’s words echoed through the air as her silver hair fell over her black uniform, and her gray eyes shimmered with a faint blue hue.

I felt her hand wrap around my arm as though she was about to drag me somewhere the next moment.

What a strange girl... Well, everyone was strange in their own way.

The other two stared at me in shock while the black-haired girl muttered, what was her name again... Probably Valia.

"E... Emeris, what are you doing?"

The other one asked "What do you mean by continue what you started? Do you two know each other, or have you met before?"

I looked at them calmly as my initial surprise at this weirdo’s actions faded.

Was she doing this because we appeared in her room and wanted to ask about it, or what?

Before I could speak, Emeris smiled broadly.

"Yeah, we know each other."

Wow... Lying in broad daylight. We had barely met for five minutes, so how did we know each other?

The two girls looked at us in surprise as they shifted their gazes between us... Normally, I would’ve ignored it and walked away without a care, but I really needed something to distract me from all the crazy thoughts in my head.

Well, I guess I should play along since we had appeared in front of her in the middle of the night... Otherwise, word might get out or something.

I sighed as I answered the silent question. "Yeah, we know each other."

The black-haired girl’s eyes widened as she stared at Emeris.

"But you kept asking about him as if you didn’t know him, so how do you know him now?"

She was asking about me... That was interesting.

Emeris shrugged. "I know him, but I didn’t know his name... As for how we know each other? That’s a wonderful story."

She let go of my arm and looked at me before covering her mouth as if holding back a laugh, then the next moment she said something I never expected to hear about myself.

"We met on a blind date..."

Our eyes met as she continued,

"And unfortunately, he ran away out of shyness the moment he saw me, without even telling me his name."

Silence.

The place fell silent for a moment until Valia’s laughter broke it.

"Hehe... H... That’s great."

She looked genuinely nervous, probably because the expression on my face wasn’t very pleasant at that moment.

Naira nodded nervously. "I see... I think we should leave you two alone."

With that, she pulled her friend away, and the two continued toward the library without looking back.

I watched their retreating backs before turning to the girl called Emeris, who was still smiling broadly.

"Oh... Why the frown? It’s ruining that handsome face of yours."

Of course I was annoyed. I didn’t mind the blind date part... But running away out of shyness... What did she take me for, Elliot?

I sighed, letting it go as I started walking past her, only for her to match my pace and walk beside me.

After we had taken a few steps away from where we had been standing, I asked,

"So what do you want?... If you have questions about what happened, just go to the Vice Principal."

She gently nudged my side with her elbow as though we were friends.

"Come on, there’s no need to be upset because I called you shy... You know you called me a weirdo the moment you saw me, even inside my room... So let’s call it even and start a new page from now on."

I raised an eyebrow. "Your room?... It was mine before it was yours."

She waved her hand.

"I know, I know... Anyway, where are we going now?"

This girl was really something else.

I sighed. "We?... Didn’t you stop me there because we appeared in front of you?"

A look of surprise appeared on her beautiful face.

"Why would I do that?... That grumpy woman already came and warned me and all that."

That grumpy woman... I guessed she meant Alicia.

"Then why did you stop me?"

She shrugged. "Because it’s fun... And because I wanted to escape from studying."

The two of us walking together had begun attracting the attention of the other students... Or maybe I was the one doing that. It didn’t really matter.

I looked at her and found her smiling at me.

"Really? You had to do all this just to escape studying?"

She answered with her hands behind her back as she matched my pace. "Not exactly."

"And you still haven’t answered me. Where are we going now?... Or where are you going, if you prefer it that way?"

I smiled as I answered, "And why should I answer?"

She tilted her head in an adorable way.

"Come on... It’s a simple question."

I smiled in amusement at the way she spoke. She was a bit like Ivan... But bolder and less talkative.

"I don’t really know... Maybe I’ll go have dinner and walk around for a while."

She covered her mouth with one hand.

"Oh... So you’re inviting me to dinner. How roman... I mean, wonderful."

I raised an eyebrow.

"How did you turn that into an invitation?"

Without hesitation, she reached out and wrapped her arm around mine again.

"Come on, don’t be cold... Do it, or I’ll spread the news that you all appeared in my room."

I shrugged in amusement... What a simple threat.

"Go ahead."

She clung tightly to my arm like a child begging for candy, bringing herself very close to me as she blinked at me.

"Come on... Please."

That made everyone around us look our way... Probably because, of all people, this was happening to me.

But instead of getting annoyed, I smiled even more.

"Are you paying?"

A trace of surprise appeared on her beautiful face before she smiled.

"You really are just like I heard..."

I couldn’t help laughing at that while she continued. "Fine, I’ll pay."

I looked at her arms wrapped around mine.

"Is it really necessary for you to do this?"

A mischievous expression appeared on her face as she moved even closer.

"Why? Does this make you feel shy?"

I shrugged indifferently. "No, but I can’t walk."

The moment I said that, she stepped forward, dragging me a few steps behind her before finally letting go of my arm.

"Come on then, let’s go..."

And so, we walked together toward the area where the restaurants and shops were.

This girl was really strange, but there was something about her that felt familiar... Like someone else.

The whole way there, she kept talking and asking questions as though we had known each other since childhood.

"So, will you be nice to me and tell me where you all were?"

I shook my head with a smile.

"Unfortunately, no."

She puffed out her cheeks like a little girl.

"How mean."

The sun had already disappeared, and all that remained was a faint orange glow in the sky.

At the same time, the streetlights began to light up along the roadside.

That was when we reached the large street filled with restaurants and shopping centers that welcomed hundreds of students and professors.

The place was as crowded as I remembered.

I looked around at the different restaurants, unsure of what to choose, so I decided to be nice and ask the person who was paying.

I looked at Emeris beside me.

"What do you want to eat?"

She stared at me as the smile on her face became strange.

"You."
