Reincarnated Immortal: Healing My Crippled Storm Saint Wife
Chapter 53: The Heir’s Departure
Sen got out of the bathroom, his hair soaking wet as he looked down.
Damn it, he thought as he entered a system filtration. After using it to dry his body, he looked at the mirror, and a man with long hair and striking, rippling blue eyes looked back at him.
He took out a vape and took a puff of smoke to calm himself down a bit before looking at the mirror again. His face looked back at him.
For a guy who had a big claim about being lazy, he sure had a lot of wounds on his body to prove otherwise. He sighed to himself.
Well, that is what you get for getting trained by the head.
He went to his room to grab some new clothes. He had to go to the Golden Sun Realm to save Rain. Although it had been three days, it did not matter.
He had to find her. And now he was hearing something about a light beam shooting toward the sky in the same breach he had left, so Sen had to hurry.
After changing, he went out of his room. The Graves estate was a large island at the center of the ocean of the Badlands. Sen stepped out of his room as a young girl about sixteen, in a white cloak suit and a silver mask, looked up at him.
"Hey, Sen."
Sen looked down at his younger sister. "What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with Mom?"
"Who? Mom has gone back to the Astral Plane, and I am also leaving as well."
"Okay, so what about my weapon?"
The girl sighed. "Why? That weapon—last time you used it, you turned into this. A guy who just likes to vape."
Sen smiled before going down. "I promise Mom that after I take this weapon, I will go to the Astral Realm to train and get ready to become a Saint. So it should be fine, okay."
The girl pouted. "Are you sure you’re not lying to me, right?"
Sen smiled. "Why would I lie to my little sister?"
The young girl sighed as her hands started to glow. One of the locked rooms opened, and a pressure descended onto the living room.
"I have suppressed it for a while, so be careful with it, okay."
Just then, the pressure increased as a suitcase floated toward the young girl with her hands. It landed in between them, and the aura was more suffocating now from the suitcase.
Sen sighed, took another puff of smoke, and then picked up the suitcase.
The girl smiled. "So here you go. Oh, and big bro, I need your help with something else."
"What?" Sen looked back at his sister to ask.
"I heard Saint Barnabas the Fire Saint was going to be there, so I was thinking you could help me get his autograph, please. I really need it."
Sen nodded. "Fine, I will try."
"Okay, thanks, bro."
With that, she skipped off.
Sen smiled before walking forward. He looked down at his briefcase—the weapon that would save her. He did not know why he was going this far for a woman who had only looked at him coldly, but he just did.
Was this what living felt like? Doing something without a care in the world?
Weird, he thought. What is wrong with me?
And with that, he went out of the living room. As he walked toward the gate, he let out another smoke, but as he reached the corner, he saw what he was after.
An aircraft transporter looked back at him. He smiled at the transporter.
I hope Mom doesn’t miss you, he thought.
The black aircraft transporter rested inside the private garage, its sleek, elongated hull resembling a spacecraft more than a conventional aircraft.
Its smooth, obsidian-black exterior reflected the overhead lights, while faint blue lines glowed along its edges. The wide wings blended seamlessly into its body, and its reinforced cockpit sat behind a dark, tinted canopy. Beneath it, concealed landing mechanisms supported its massive frame.
The spacious garage was designed specifically for the vessel, with polished floors, automated maintenance systems, and a high-security door sealing it in.
Sen smiled at the masterpiece before him as he opened the aircraft. A ramp fell as Sen entered. He sighed to himself as he went to the cockpit. Just as the ship was about to take off, men in full suits walked out to try and stop the young master. But just then, the ship hovered above the ground before going up and up. Then it moved in an instant.
Sen looked at the course he had set for the ship. District 12.
Do not worry, Rain. I am coming to save you.

Meanwhile, in a military facility in the Badlands, Barnabas was eating food in the canteen. It was a small meal with fresh hot yogurt. Barnabas smiled a bit as he looked at his hot yogurt.
"So, Captain, are we also going to the breach?"
Barnabas did not say anything. He just ate. After finishing his meal, he finally spoke.
"No. I am going alone. Okay."
And then the man got up, and as he did, he was tall, with red hair and eyes, and muscles all around his body. He wore a rope that looked like it was torn, and his two arms were ripped off, showing Barnabas’s muscles. As he got up, he looked at them all before saying, "This is my fight, not yours."
He looked like a gentleman as he placed his plate in the dishwasher and walked out.
One of the men sitting beside him scoffed. "You’re right. He just wanted to use this mission to brag about closing a breach alone. That—I bet you one hundred—he is doing this to impress you know who."
The man who had asked the question just sighed. "Pipe down. Do not let the Captain hear you. And besides, even if the world were ending, Captain wants to go without a regret, so that means impressing his crush."
With that, the team dropped the subject as they started to talk about their mission.
