Chapter 2083: Her Return
-----
"Let’s finish this!"
Both roared as they rushed toward the three dragons and clashed against them. Allan’s sword carved through their arms, Faylen’s blinding swords of light stabbed deep into their bodies and exploded, and Shade’s relentless barrage of cuts shredded their forms.
"T-THIS IS... IMPOSSIBLE!"
"WAIT... THIS CAN’T BE!"
"UUUAAGH!"
Shade, Allan, and Faylen combined their power and unleashed a single piercing strike. A colossal spear forged from their Spiritual Auras thrust forward.
"Divine Triple-Elemental Soul Spirit Spear – Extinction!!!"
They roared in unison, piercing the three brothers at once. The spear struck their cores, shattering them into countless pieces as their bodies disintegrated in a violent explosion.
BOOOMMM!!!
"Haaa... It’s done, right?" Allan sighed in relief. All three collapsed to the floor, utterly exhausted.
"I think so..." Shade nodded. "I cannot feel any more miasma— Wait."
"?!" Faylen gasped. Her chains surged with divine power and wrapped around everyone as she conjured her strongest barrier. "Take cover!!!"
With her acute magical and spiritual senses, she shielded them just as a massive explosion of miasma and curses erupted from the shattered core, swallowing everything in its path.
RUMBLE!
For a moment, everything went blank. When their senses returned, they were dulled and heavy. A strange sickness now coursed through their bodies. They coughed up blood mixed with black miasma.
"Cough, cough..." Allan groaned. "N-No... How?!"
"Nnnggh... It’s her. I knew it!" Faylen snarled.
"?!" Shade gasped, speechless in utter disbelief.
A giant figure emerged from the darkness, looming over them. The dungeon twisted and fractured, breaking apart into floating pieces suspended in the abyssal void she commanded.
"To think they would die so easily. Tch! I am done wasting my time. With the power I have gathered through Faith, I will soon ascend to the ranks of the greatest gods. And you three mighty heroes... shall become my feast."
An aberrant draconic spider-like monstrosity revealed itself, speaking with the sultry voice of a seductress—one they all remembered from their desperate battle against her long ago.
"Y-You’re...!" Allan vomited again. "L-Lolth?!"
"She’s not dead?!" Shade asked in disbelief.
"No, she isn’t!" Faylen rose unsteadily. "She’s infected us with her curse! Damn it... I still haven’t found a cure. My chains can only seal it temporarily..."
"Fufufu, it seems the mighty heroes have fallen so terribly this time!"
Lolth laughed.
"Look at how pathetic you’ve become! Last time you nearly had me... but now? How the tables have turned. I will tear you limb from limb!"
An army of aberrations crawled forth from every direction, each one an extension of her divine power and authority, closing in on the weakened trio.
Everything suddenly seemed utterly hopeless.
And yet...
"IT’S OVER, HEROES! YOU CANNOT FIGHT FOREVER, HAHAHAHA!"
As Lolth prepared to finish them with maniacal laughter—
"Stop!"
A figure burst through the dungeon entrance, flying straight toward them.
It was Nephilim!
With her battery fully charged, she pierced the monstrous vessel of Lolth’s chest, tearing it apart. A blinding explosion of anti-curse light erupted, consuming the vessel in a massive wave of holy divine fire.
BOOOMMM!!!
"W-WHA...?! WHAT IS THIS LIGHT?! GYAAAAAHHHHH!"
To their shock, Lolth’s vessel collapsed instantly, burned away by the deadly radiance. It was a powerful new spell Sylphy had designed—one that devoured the vessel and all her aberrations in purifying flames.
The curse afflicting the heroes vanished as well, leaving them stunned. Never in their lives had they imagined Nephilim would be the one to save them.
"N-Nephilim?! You saved us?!" Allan exclaimed. "What is this light? What kind of spell is that?!"
"It’s a powerful spell designed to heal those cursed!" Nephilim replied. "I forged it with Sylphy’s help. Is everyone okay?!"
"We’re fine, girl. Thank you," Faylen said, slowly standing. "So Sylphy found a cure faster than her own mother? I can’t believe it... I’m really being outdone by her at this age. Haha."
"Lolth is completely gone?" Shade asked, still shocked. "She won’t return?"
"With this spell, the entire dungeon has been purified... and it has become part of Sylphy’s territory as well," Nephilim explained. "She has grown so much stronger. I can feel it. Perhaps this was the final push she needed for her rebirth!"
"Rebirth?" Allan asked.
"What happened to her?!" Faylen demanded.
"..." Nephilim’s expression grew serious. "We don’t have time. I’ll explain on the way out. We must leave quickly—Evercraft is under attack by monsters and cursed people who have turned into monsters themselves! Hurry!"
The trio nodded and rushed out of the dungeon alongside Nephilim as fast as they could.
Meanwhile, within the Burning Forest Dungeon, the final fragment needed for her rebirth awaited.
A whole dimension now rested in her grasp, granted through the incredible spell she had forged using a System Seed.
"The Living Spell I granted the Class ’Lolth’s Curse Destroyer’ is finally spreading," she murmured, drawing the dimension into her soul—which now resembled a golden, heavenly cauldron. "Let’s begin!"
FLAAASH!
A pillar of light and flames erupted. The entire Burning Forest Dungeon exploded and shattered, compressing into itself before vanishing and leaving everyone suspended in an empty black void.
Dimenion, Nepheline, Aquarina, Lolth’s Ultimate Vessel, Beelzebub, Yggdra, Ignatius, Armageddon, and the rest watched in disbelief. In the center of the void stood one figure, from whom an endless explosion of blinding stars surged outward.
"?!" Dimenion gasped, stepping back as he sensed her presence. "Impossible! I killed you! The battery... I took it— Did I?!" He realized it was gone from his possession. "WHAT?!"
"You never took anything, Dimenion. It was always a piece of me. With a single thought, I called it back."
She emerged renewed, rising from a giant cauldron within the black void. Her body had been refined and reborn through the absorption of two entire dungeons and her own divine weapons.
Glowing with spiritual light in gold, blue, and red hues, she possessed beautiful waving hair made of blazing divine power. Her eyes burned with draconic fury as she spread a pair of gigantic wings formed from spiritual stars.
Everyone stared in stunned silence.
"Dimenion, you’ve only helped me achieve what I should have done long ago. I was simply too afraid... Shall we begin round two?"
As the others gazed at her, they gasped and screamed her name.
"SYLPHY!!!"
She had returned, stronger than ever before.
And with her, a new Divinity and System were born.
Amidst the despair gripping Evercraft, a strange beeping sound echoed, accompanied by a holographic status window appearing before them.
"If the gods themselves won’t answer their prayers, then I will."
