[2nd Reward: You’ve increased Seraphina’s power and improved her chances of becoming an Archmage, thus gaining a powerful supporter.]

[Ding!]

[New Mission Issued: Marry Seraphina Within Three Days.]

[Reward: Hidden.]

Seeing the notification, my mouth fell open.

"Nooo! At least give me a sneak peek of the reward!"

I let out a long sigh and dismissed the cluster of notifications floating before my eyes.

To be honest, this mission was quite surprising. I hadn’t even officially made Lilith and the others my secondary wives yet, and the system was already pushing me to marry another woman.

At this point, I was beginning to suspect that the system had some blatant favoritism towards Seraphina, especially after Zero confessed that she was his favorite.

As for me, though, Aleena remained my favorite woman.

If I were my predecessor, I probably would have chosen Seraphina instead. However, when it came to personality, Aleena was simply better, even if she wasn’t nearly as wealthy.

Despite being much stronger than me, she had never been overly domineering or tried to force me into doing anything against my wishes. Besides, when I first arrived in this world, she was the light that shone through the darkness surrounding me.

How could I ever forget that?

There was also that indescribable softness and sparkle in her eyes whenever she looked at me. It was something I couldn’t quite put into words.

At this point, it would be complete hypocrisy to pretend I didn’t have a favorite.

As for Miranda, whom the system had inexplicably designated as my fated one, I mainly felt a sense of compassion towards her because of the kindness she had shown me at the slave auction house.

Perhaps, with time, we’d grow closer. Who knew?

I was also beginning to develop a bond with Seraphina, although I had to admit that our first encounter had left a rather unpleasant impression on me.

I genuinely thought I was going to die that day.

Sigh.

Wait...

I suddenly remembered something.

I hadn’t even asked Seraphina about the couple back in Scar City!

Fuck!

What if she’d done something to them?

Fear gripped my heart as guilt began to creep in. I couldn’t help imagining those innocent people being killed simply because they’d helped me.

After all, this was a fantasy world where ruthlessness was practically a way of life. The strong preyed on the weak, and the lives of ordinary people meant very little to those with power.

I really hoped they were safe.

Just as I was getting lost in my thoughts, my phone suddenly rang.

I picked it up and glanced at the screen. It was badly cracked, with several spiderweb-like fractures spreading across the display, but thankfully, it was still functional.

I answered the call.

{Babe, I hope you haven’t forgotten about today’s shoot? I can’t come up with another excuse for you this time.}

"I fell asleep. I’ll be on my way," I replied.

Without waiting for her response, I ended the call and hurried into the shower.

By the time I was done, Freya and Paulina were already urging me to have something to eat, but I didn’t have the luxury of time. The scheduled shoot was fast approaching, and I was already running late.

I quickly activated the teleportation runes and headed straight for the studio.

A few moments later, I arrived on the studio floor and hurried towards the shooting room.

The moment I stepped inside, I spotted the Director pacing back and forth, cursing under his breath while Lasawani desperately tried to calm him down.

’Damn, Lasawani really is devoted to helping me out. I owe her something nice.’

Meanwhile, Max was standing in front of his camera, making all sorts of ridiculous faces while munching on a dough-filled pastry almost as big as his entire forearm.

"Jacob!"

He called out as soon as he noticed me.

His voice immediately caught the attention of the Director and Lasawani, who both turned towards the entrance.

Lasawani was the first to rush over. Without even bothering to hide her excitement, she wrapped her arms around me and planted a kiss on my lips.

"Cough! Cough!"

"Please, maintain some professional ethics during working hours," the professor said as he approached us.

Lasawani’s face immediately turned crimson. She quickly pulled away, looking rather embarrassed.

I couldn’t help chuckling before greeting Max and the Director. We exchanged a few pleasantries, and they soon handed me my copy of the script.

I began flipping through the pages, familiarizing myself with the scenes I was supposed to perform.

However, as I read, I suddenly noticed two people I hadn’t paid attention to when I first entered the room.

They were staring directly at me.

Their expressions reminded me of a butcher eyeing a lamb moments before slaughter.

The evil twins.

The moment our eyes met, identical smiles crept onto their faces.

They simultaneously rose from their seats and began walking towards me. Their movements were so perfectly synchronized that I was starting to suspect their brains were somehow connected.

No wonder their coordination and techniques were so infamous for humiliating men.

"Oh, if it isn’t Milf_Hunter! You’ve finally come to hunt us today. We hope you don’t end up becoming the prey instead," one of the twins remarked with a mischievous smile.

I raised an eyebrow.

Today, the twins were dressed in matching schoolgirl-inspired outfits. Their white, fitted blouses were neatly tucked into short, high-waisted red pleated skirts, each finished with a delicate waistband and a small decorative bow.

Bright red neckties hung loosely beneath their collars, while their white thigh-high stockings disappeared beneath the hems of their skirts. Their footwear consisted of polished black shoes, completing the coordinated look.

Their bleached blonde hair was styled into adorable twin ponytails, one on either side of their heads, with neatly arranged bangs framing their petite faces. A few loose strands rested against their cheeks, giving them an almost doll-like appearance.

The two looked practically identical, from their facial features to their choice of accessories. Even their expressions seemed to mirror each other.

They were so petite that, standing side by side, they almost looked like two mischievous dolls plotting someone’s downfall.

And judging by those smug expressions, I was probably their next target.

Hearing their provocation, Lasawani’s expression darkened. She looked ready to fire back, but I discreetly stopped her.

Instead, a smile slowly spread across my face.

"Well, I guess we’ll just have to see who’s getting eaten today. How about we make a bet?"

I turned towards Max.

"Get the camera rolling."

Max immediately nodded and adjusted his camera, pointing the lens directly at us.

The twins exchanged suspicious glances, briefly studying my expression as though trying to figure out what I was up to.

However, their hesitation didn’t last long. Soon enough, their usual arrogant smiles returned.

"What conditions do you have in mind for this bet?" they asked simultaneously.
