Eren smiled. With his body enveloped with R?zoň, he felt invincible. He felt like he could do anything. The power that he now wielded thanks to his 12 open Primary Meridians were limitless.

First of all, he could learn the next technique in the Foundational Movesets.

This was called the Primal Void.

Just like with the Primal Step, if there was a technique in order to imbue Reinforcement in one part of his body, then it was also possible to do Negative Reinforcement on it.

The Primal Void worked on the same principle as full-body Reinforcement. But except for putting R?zoň all over his body, he was depriving himself of it.

He would be putting a vacuum all over his body. By doing so, he could lower his presence in reality so much that people wouldn’t be able to sense or see him even if he was standing in front of them.

At least, theoretically.

But Eren knew that he wouldn’t be able to achieve such mastery with the Primal Void so fast.

So, he immediately closed his eyes and tried to practice the technique. Once again, he found himself using the words of the Venerable Ursine King as his guiding star.

[The Primal Void was my comfort. It was my isolation. It has helped me find my peace within myself, for the act of depriving myself of R?zoň was something that was contrary to everything that I have practiced.

Only when I learned to let go of my own ego did I realize the truth of the Primal Void. That I am merely one of the pieces of dust flying along the river of time...]

Just like the Ursine King said, the Primal Void was hard to execute because it was the exact opposite of what he’d been trying this entire time.

But how does one unlearn habits they had already learned?

The first time he tried to use Negative Reinforcement on his body, he found himself just focusing on one part of his body at a time. The rest of it would get normal Reinforcement, which was not what he wanted to achieve.

Practicing it a few more times helped, but no matter what, he would always end up with an imperfect Negative Reinforcement.

In order for the Primal Void to work, it must be an even vacuum all over his body.

Otherwise, the parts that didn’t have Negative Reinforcement would get an abundance of R?zoň in order to balance things out, which would cause his presence to be even more prominent, which was not what he wanted to achieve.

Eventually, he let his own frustration pass. He told himself to calm down.

This was not the first time he felt deprived of R?zoň. His life back in Immor? was basically the same thing.

Therefore, if he simply pulled from his own experience, he should be able to complete the Primal Void with ease.

And so, that’s what he did. He used his own painful experience in Immor? of becoming a useless scholar who couldn’t do anything properly.

Suddenly, all the thoughts in his mind began to flow. Now, only memories passed in his subconscious. Moments of feeling invisible, feeling neglected, feeling like a loser... it all came back to him.

And in the end, he frowned. He thought he didn’t have to feel this way anymore now that he had returned back here on Earth with his original body.

It felt like he was returning to a nightmare he wanted to avoid this entire time.

His breathing became heavier, like something was constricting him.

It was the pressure.

He immediately opened his eyes and fell on his knees, breathing hard after that experience.

The experience of returning to a life of a cripple haunted him like a vengeful ghost. He never wanted to do that again.

But he looked at his own body.

His own skin felt like it was semi-transparent. There was an ethereal part of his body that made it seem like he was the ghost.

Eyes widening, he realized that he had actually achieved it.

The Primal Void.

A vacuum of R?zoň permeated his body. He became something normal in a world of the supernatural, almost making him invisible.

He thought he’d need a lot more time and practice before he was able to execute this technique, but as it turned out, all it needed was some inspiration from his previous life and he’d be able to achieve it quite easily!

But his excitement caused him to subconsciously use R?zoň in his fists.

It broke the balance of the vacuum. R?zoň gathered above the skin of his arm, gathering with density just like normal Reinforcement.

More and more R?zoň gathered in his fist, condensing so much that his arm wasn’t even visible anymore.

His fists became so heavy that he couldn’t even lift it up anymore, causing him to kneel deeper into the ground.

Now, it was starting to get painful, as if the universe itself was squeezing his hand in a brutal and savage handshake.

In the end, Eren found the foresight to unleash some of this power in a Primal Strike. He struck the air in front of him multiple times, causing air to violently crash onto his tent.

With more punches, the balance began to restore.

He took a deep breath and fell on the ground, exhausted.

Using the Primal Void required perfect focus from him. He couldn’t get distracted. Otherwise, the imbalance of the vacuum would cause other parts of his body to stick out like a sore thumb.

It would spoil any of his attempts to veil himself in the shadows.

But overall, Eren was excited. He had another power in his arsenal. This one, he admitted, was a lot less powerful than he would like. But it was useful. Especially in times where they were the subject of a lot of heat from the other groups and sponsors.

He slowly exited out of his tent and found that the rest of his group members were looking at him. Celeste especially.
