Chapter 1230: Ch 1230: Hero Party Vs The Ancient Evil (1)

Even with all the trouble regarding the ruthless rank 10 powerhouses, Shin was in a very good mood. Just yesterday he had managed to come up with a new move combining several of his star souls and the power of this new move had turned out to be much greater than what he had expected.

Not just that but the elder dwarf who took care of his sword had recently gotten his hand on a legendary metal of some sort. And he had even used that metal to improve Shin’s sword, making it a true legendary weapon.

This had definitely increased the power of his sword and the elder dwarf had even given it a cool new name called "Atropos".

So because of all these reasons, Shin was feeling very enthusiastic. He had already checked the sword out against a metal dummy and it had worked extremely well. But now, he really wanted to test this out against a real enemy.

And it was not just Shin who was feeling happy and enthusiastic. The other members of his party were feeling the same. Even though none of them had gotten an insane boost like Shin, all of their weapons had also become stronger than before more or less.

So, all of them were about to leave the village and go to a nearby forest where some decently powerful monsters were. They would be the perfect enemies to try the new weapons out.

But before any of them could step their feet out of the village, very suddenly a pressure overwhelmed them. This pressure was coming from such a powerful person that a chill ran down everyone’s spine.

Immediately, all of the people relied on their insticts and took out their weapons and got ready for a battle.

Only then they looked toward the source of this terrifying presence, which was a short lady who was floating in the sky.

She had dark blue skin and two horns on her head. She looked like a demon but Shin had a feeling that was not the case for some reason.

But there was one thing that he had no doubt about. And that was the fact that even though this lady might look small, she was definitely super powerful. Powerful enough to defeat the current Shin without breaking a sweat.

It was not just Shin who had realised this. Shuzu also had very powerful insticts and had realised how strong this person was. And seeing Shin and Shuzu’s expression, the other members of the party also understood the danger level of this suddenly appeared enemy.

But this realisation did not make anyone to step back. Instead, all of them became determined and were ready for the fight.

As soon as this floating blue lady had appeared, she had been releasing a massive amount of killing intent. From this, it was very clear that if Shin and his party did not stop her, she was definitely going to kill all the dwarves and destroy this remote and hidden village.

There was no way Shin could allow that to happen. That was why he and his teammates were ready to defend this place with their lives on the line.

The first person to make a make a move during the standoff was Shuzu. She moved so fast that she almost teleported and appeared beside the lady while her sword was already going for her neck.

But suddenly a barrier appeared before the sword and it even managed to block Shuzu’s strike. So this definitely was a very powerful barrier.

But then, Shuzu slightly injection some sword aura to the sword in her hand and also pushed it forward with some extra power. And this time, very surprisingly, the sword had managed to miraculously pass through the barrier and reached the lady.

This turned out to be a surprise for even the blue petite lady, so she was a bit late in dodging it. But even then, she managed to teleported away and appeared a little bit away from the village.

There was a cut present on her cheek which should have healed automatically as it was very tiny. But for some reason, this cut had turned out to be very persistent and the blue lady needed to actively heal it.

Then she tried to go inside the village again but a barrier blocked her. Her going out was exactly what everyone ready to fight her wanted, so there was no way they were going to allow her to go inside the village again.

That was why, as soon as this lady had teleported outside the village after being surprised by Shuzu, Tatsumi had used her strongest rank 9 spell to erect a barrier.

And even though it was just a rank 9 barrier, because Tatsumi had a lot of extremely powerful buffs on her, her barrier was strong enough to even prevent a rank 10 from breaking it immediately.

But obviously, with some time, this lady would definitely be able to break it. But Shin and Shuzu had no intention to giving her that time.

After suprising the blue lady, Shuzu had activated a new skill that she had learned not to long ago. And this skill allowed her to hide her presence almost perfectly for a limited amount of time.

She was planning to use this to launch a sneak attack on the lady. With how powerful her sword was, any sneak attack from her was insanely deadly.

While Shuzu was hiding and waiting for her chance, Shin went out of the barrier to hold this lady off. Shin was quite sure that this lady must be one of the dangerous and ruthless rank 10 powerhouses, so he was trying to be extremely cautious.

That was why Ren had stopped thinking about holding anything back at all and instead, he was going all out. He had taken out all his trump card worthy star souls and had activated all of them at the same time.

In this state, even Ren was not sure how powerful he actually was. That was because he had never done anything crazy like this.

After doing this, there was no doubt that his life would be in great danger but Shin’s intuition told him that if he did not do this much before this opponent, then not only he but all his friends and the whole village would disappear.

Understanding Shin’s resolve, Tatsumi and his other friends did not stop him. Instead, they decide to struggle alongside him in order to make sure he stayed alive and well even after this fight.

Raphaela buffed Shin as much as she could and Tatsumi focused on keeping Shuzu hidden even from the senses of a rank 10. Ellie and Nakamura both sent a huge numbers of Undeads and Bugs to distract the blue lady and Kashimo used a new weapon called gun to shoot from behind his giant shield.

And that was how the battle between the hero party and one of the ancient evil started.
