Chapter 414: Someone from the Liu Family

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was already the third day since Qin Tuo had begun his cultivation.

In the Provincial City villa, Chen Man Ni plopped onto the sofa in a huff, her face a mask of complaint.

Just then, Ouyang Feifei walked over, looking curious.

"Oh? What's wrong, Manni? You don't seem very happy."

Chen Man Ni couldn't help but complain:

"What else could it be? It's Qin Tuo, of course."

As she spoke, she tossed her phone aside.

It turned out she had just tried calling Qin Tuo several times, but couldn't get through even once.

Her imagination started running wild. 'Is he in trouble? Or is he out fooling around with other women, having a change of heart?'

Ouyang Feifei asked in confusion,

"What did Qin Tuo do to upset you now, Manni?"

Chen Man Ni snorted.

"That deadbeat Qin Tuo has been gone for days without a single word, and now I can't even reach him by phone. Who knows what mischief he's up to out there!"

Seeing Chen Man Ni's anxious expression, Ouyang Feifei couldn't resist teasing her.

"What's the matter, Manni? It's only been a few days. Do you miss your man that much already?"

Ouyang Feifei started tickling Chen Man Ni as she spoke.

Chen Man Ni grabbed Ouyang Feifei's hand, half-annoyed, half-amused. "Feifei, stop laughing at me! I'm just worried something happened to Qin Tuo, that's all."

Ouyang Feifei's eyes twinkled mischievously as she teased,

"Come on, Manni. I think the real reason is that you can't sleep at night because you're lonely without Qin Tuo next to you!"

Chen Man Ni's face instantly turned beet red. She never expected Ouyang Feifei to be so bold.

"Oh, Feifei, you're terrible! I can't believe you've turned into such a tease!"

Chen Man Ni said, flustered.

Seeing that her friend was flustered and a little guilty, Ouyang Feifei burst into laughter.

"Look how red your face is, Manni! And you still deny it? How about we go find Qin Tuo and have him... relieve your loneliness for you?"

Chen Man Ni became completely flustered, thoroughly defeated.

Having successfully teased her best friend, Ouyang Feifei flashed a triumphant smile.

But then Chen Man Ni's expression suddenly turned serious as she asked:

"Feifei, I have to ask you something, and you have to answer me honestly!"

Ouyang Feifei hadn't expected Chen Man Ni to suddenly become so serious. She nodded slightly, waiting for the question.

Chen Man Ni asked:

"Feifei... are you in love with Qin Tuo?"

"Manni, I'm not in love with Qin Tuo! Don't be ridiculous!"

However, Chen Man Ni clearly noticed the panic in Ouyang Feifei's eyes as she spoke.

Ouyang Feifei tried to conceal her expression, but she didn't realize her panicked look was a dead giveaway.

But Chen Man Ni just said magnanimously,

"What are you afraid of, Feifei? If you really love him, just say so. It's nothing to be ashamed of!"

But Ouyang Feifei just gave a wry smile.

"Manni, I was just teasing you before. Do you really have to get back at me like this?"

But Chen Man Ni just kept talking as if she hadn't heard:

"Feifei, we're best friends. If you really love Qin Tuo, worst-case scenario, I'll let you have him. It's not a big deal."

Seeing Chen Man Ni's generous display, Ouyang Feifei didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Chen Man Ni blinked and continued,

"So? Have you thought it over, Feifei?"

But Ouyang Feifei seemed to recall something, and her expression turned serious.

"Manni, I'm never going to fall in love with anyone ever again. Just stop saying things like that!"

As she finished speaking, Ouyang Feifei's expression turned somber.

Seeing her friend's reaction, Chen Man Ni finally remembered that Ouyang Feifei had been terribly hurt by Liu Tao. 'She must be thinking about that heartbreaker again,' she thought. 'It's making her so sad.'

Chen Man Ni quickly patted Ouyang Feifei's shoulder in comfort and said,

"Feifei, stop thinking about that bastard. He's not worth your tears!"

A wave of sorrow washed over Ouyang Feifei. Tears welled in her eyes, and she slumped against Chen Man Ni's shoulder.

Chen Man Ni said, blaming herself,

"Oh, Feifei, this is all my fault. I shouldn't have brought it up. Just... try to forget him completely from now on!"

Ouyang Feifei didn't say a word, but her body shook with silent sobs. She was clearly lost in a wave of grief, unable to escape it just yet.

However, just as Chen Man Ni finished speaking, a commotion erupted outside the villa. It sounded like someone was causing a disturbance.

"Feifei, someone's here. Let's go check it out?"

Chen Man Ni said cautiously.

Ouyang Feifei nodded, and the two women got up to see what was happening.

When they got outside, they were both utterly stunned by the sight.

Two men were trying to force their way into the villa. And one of them, to their astonishment, was Liu Tao!

The other was a slovenly middle-aged man in a shabby robe, his eyes gleaming with a sinister light.

Seeing Liu Tao again, Ouyang Feifei averted her gaze, unable to look him in the face.

When Liu Tao saw Ouyang Feifei and Chen Man Ni, however, a triumphant smile spread across his face.

"Haha! Look, Uncle Hu! These are the two women at Qin Tuo's side. Once we have them under our control, that guy will have no choice but to bow to us!"

The middle-aged man beside him was an expert from his family, Tomb Tiger.

Tomb Tiger nodded slightly, an intimidating aura emanating from him.

As they were about to advance further into the villa, Long Wu and Qiangwei rushed forward to block their path.

The initial confrontation had already alerted the guards inside the villa.

Now, surrounded by a large group of guards, Liu Tao's face was filled with contempt.

"Heh. You think this bunch of worthless trash can stop me? You're asking to die!"

The moment the words left his lips, Liu Tao charged straight ahead.

"Get them! Take them down!"

Qiangwei shouted, her brow furrowed coldly.

A group of elite guards roared and charged forward!

But Liu Tao dispatched them all with ease in just a few moves. They were utterly powerless to resist.

Seeing this, Chen Man Ni and Ouyang Feifei exchanged a look, both seeing the shock in the other's eyes.

"This is bad, Manni!" Ouyang Feifei said immediately. "Liu Tao brought someone with him. He's definitely here to get to Qin Tuo!"

Chen Man Ni nodded, her own expression grim.
