Qin Tuo had wanted to refuse, but seeing Zeng Changkong’s desperate and sincere expression, he gave it some thought and could only nod in reluctant agreement.

"Very well. If that’s the case, I’ll help you pass on your Face Reading Technique."

Hearing Qin Tuo agree, Zeng Changkong’s face instantly lit up with excitement, and he was so happy he began to cry.

The Face Reading Technique would finally be passed on; Zeng Changkong would no longer have any regrets in his life.

"Mr. Qin, I don’t know how I can possibly thank you. You’ve helped me so many times. The only thing I can do is kowtow to you!"

Zeng Changkong stood up, intending to give Qin Tuo a sincere kowtow to express his boundless gratitude.

Qin Tuo immediately shook his head. With a gentle lift of his hands, he prevented Zeng Changkong from being able to bow.

Zeng Changkong was astonished to see Qin Tuo display such a magical ability with just a simple gesture.

This convinced him beyond a doubt: Qin Tuo was truly the one sent by the heavens to save him!

"Mr. Zeng, it was no trouble at all. You don’t need to be so formal."

Qin Tuo said with a gentle smile.

Zeng Changkong could only nod repeatedly, too emotional to speak.

Then, Qin Tuo suddenly recalled something and asked curiously,

"Mr. Zeng, you’ve read the faces of so many people. Why is mine the only fate you can’t see through?"

Back in the car, Zeng Kemeng had said he was fated to be an orphan, yet Zeng Changkong claimed his destiny was simply unreadable.

All of this made Qin Tuo extremely curious about what kind of destiny he truly possessed.

Moreover, Qin Tuo figured that if even Zeng Changkong, with his Face Reading Technique, couldn’t discern his fate, then likely no one else in the world could.

Zeng Changkong listened, then shook his head and said seriously,

"Mr. Qin, this is actually the first time I’ve seen a situation like this. It’s quite bizarre."

Qin Tuo felt a little disappointed to hear that. He hadn’t expected that even Zeng Changkong would have no solution.

’Is there really no one who can unravel my destiny?’

Qin Tuo thought, a sudden sense of sorrow washing over him.

However, to his surprise, Zeng Changkong’s tone shifted in the next moment as he continued,

"However, Mr. Qin, I have a method to defy the heavens on your behalf and take a glimpse at the secrets of fate!"

Qin Tuo nodded, very pleased to hear this.

"Excellent, Mr. Zeng. Please, peer into my destiny for me!"

Zeng Changkong said nothing, his expression growing extremely serious and solemn.

Then, he gestured to Qin Tuo with his hand.

"Mr. Qin, please place a drop of your blood essence in my palm."

Without wasting words, Qin Tuo forced out a drop of blood essence and let it fall into Zeng Changkong’s palm.

Zeng Changkong then smeared Qin Tuo’s blood essence onto the corners of his own eyes.

Qin Tuo watched with great curiosity, wondering what on earth Zeng Changkong would do next.

He then saw Zeng Changkong’s eyes gradually become bloodshot as his face slowly began to twist in pain.

It was clear he was in extreme agony.

Watching from the side, Qin Tuo grew extremely worried, afraid that something would happen to Zeng Changkong.

After just a moment, Zeng Changkong’s suffering intensified, until he finally began to bleed from his seven facial orifices!

’How could this be happening?’

Qin Tuo’s heart clenched. He couldn’t let Zeng Changkong die just from reading his fortune.

Reacting quickly, Qin Tuo immediately channeled a stream of Spiritual Power into Zeng Changkong’s body.

With the aid of this Spiritual Power, Zeng Changkong was finally able to catch his breath, his life barely saved.

Qin Tuo helped Zeng Changkong into a chair and let him rest for a while.

After a little more time, Zeng Changkong finally regained his composure. When he opened his eyes, he looked as if he had aged more than ten years.

Qin Tuo was deeply moved, knowing that Zeng Changkong had paid an immense price to defy the heavens and glimpse his fate.

"Mr. Zeng, what did you see?"

Qin Tuo couldn’t help but ask cautiously.

Zeng Changkong’s face instantly filled with terror. His heart pounding, he said,

"Mr. Qin, I barely managed to glimpse a strange facet of your destiny. Your fate... it’s simply too inscrutable!"

Qin Tuo was quite perplexed by this and couldn’t help but press further.

"Oh? What do you mean, Mr. Zeng?"

Recalling what he had just witnessed, Zeng Changkong said seriously,

"I even used my unique Forbidden Technique just now, but I still couldn’t see much. I only saw that you, Mr. Qin, will face a great calamity soon."

Qin Tuo’s heart skipped a beat. He knew Zeng Changkong wasn’t spouting baseless nonsense.

If he predicted a calamity, it was very likely to be true.

"Mr. Zeng, please elaborate..."

Qin Tuo said, his face devoid of expression.

Zeng Changkong nodded and slowly explained,

"It’s like this, Mr. Qin. The calamity will occur around the time of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The location will be an island. You must be careful—do not go near any island during the Mid-Autumn Festival!"

Qin Tuo’s eyes flew wide open, and his heart began to pound violently.

Zeng Changkong’s words contained such shocking information that his mind could no longer remain calm.

’Could he be talking about Peach Blossom Island? But didn’t that old lunatic say a great opportunity was waiting for me there? Isn’t this a massive contradiction!’

Qin Tuo felt as if he were being dragged into a whirlpool, with everything becoming more and more incomprehensible.

He had to figure out what was going on, so he immediately asked again,

"Mr. Zeng, were you able to see anything else?"

But Zeng Changkong, looking utterly drained, could only give a feeble wave of his hand, unable to utter a single word.

From the looks of it, he had already given it his all.

Just gleaning that little bit of information had taken a monumental effort and nearly cost him his life.

And so, Qin Tuo couldn’t bring himself to say any more, letting out a silent, regretful sigh.

Early the next morning, Qin Tuo and Zhu Zifeng got ready to leave.

They had spent the night at the Zeng Family residence and were worried about delaying their plans, so they were preparing to head to Blood Moon Pavilion early.

Just then, Zeng Kemeng happened upon the two of them and asked curiously,

"Oh? Where are you two off to so early?"

Zhu Zifeng, having grown much closer to Zeng Kemeng the previous day, replied with a smile,

"Miss Zeng, we’re off to Blood Moon Pavilion to handle some matters."

Hearing this, Zeng Kemeng’s face lit up with joy, and she laughed.

"Oh, you’re going to Blood Moon Pavilion? Great! I’m coming with you!"

Zhu Zifeng shook his head with a wry smile.

"Miss Zeng, our business is very dangerous. You should stay here where it’s safe!"
